So don't respond to the other people and just focus on the discussion at hand? I merely was filling the void of answers with hypothetical fluff. No need to get hostile towards other people trying to chip in with some extra talk. Seriously, chill.

And now for something completely different...
What do you think the market value is for a superweapon?

From Priceless to Negotiated Asylum and Big Favors from the buyer. XD
I almost see it as how things in Inglourious Bastards worked. "I'll do this and get you that, but you have to make me set for life and write me out to be a hero."

On the side note... With the Ship tree, Im not seeing anything generalized like Misc. Ship Enhancements. Like Amphibious Seals, Smuggling Compartments, and etc... How would those sort of things be treated if you wanted something added to oyur ship that isn't apart of the basic Tree? Armor and Weapon have non-specific upgrade options. Also, when building, it notes thus... Quote: Basic ships start at 4/10 in these stats. They can be rearranged, so long as there is 1 point in each stat, and they total up to 20 points. Does that mean you have twenty points to add in if all stats are reduced to zero, or just the sixteen from the four added up to mix and match with a minimum of 1? Edit: I just noticed that the 'Sensors' attribute was not on the Ship Skeleton, thus why I overlooked. So the second problem has been solved with its addition, point total is at 20.

And what, might I ask, would your "field commander", a military person who won't be using that tree, and which you said you'd get to me almost 3 nights ago, need with a smuggling compartment, or an amphibious seal, on a military ship which he doesn't own?
And don't tell me it's for some "other character you're coming up with" either. I've spent the last month answering military questions for you and have yet to see a character skeleton hit any moderator's pm box... or even hear about it.
As for the answer to the "misc ship enhancements", the answer is twofold: one, in all the RPs we have had, I cannot remember a single person actually ever using aquatic seals, or smuggling compartments, or any of those tiny details ever to be a necessary option. and two: because of this, I forgot to put that on, merely because I doubted anyone would need to have them, to use on a regular basis. It's sort of like putting a point in for "ship crew" or something to help you out. It's rather irrelevant and unnecessary. Even atop this, a ship is already expensive enough to own, maintain, and pay for when one considers the fact Civvies will probably be also spending points on armor and weaponry as well, and requiring a point for each of those tiny a** details probably would not only never be bought (and by extension, people would fight over it's cost), would be a clusterfrell of a bomb to define "miscellaneous enhancements".
So, despite the question regarding a character which doesn't need it or an excuse regarding a phantom, that's the details. Any other flaws which you wish to point out and critique about?

Why does it matter? It asking because Im looking.
Its not critiquing, its asking a question. One you did not actually answer what I asked. How would it be treated if someone wanted something added to their ship that is not on the tree.

Whether or not you liked the answer, or just rudely skipped over this rather large section of it, I did answer your question. Here is the answer, again. Read it carefully this time. Nelowulf As for the answer to the "misc ship enhancements", the answer is twofold: one, in all the RPs we have had, I cannot remember a single person actually ever using aquatic seals, or smuggling compartments, or any of those tiny details ever to be a necessary option. and two: because of this, I forgot to put that on, merely because I doubted anyone would need to have them, to use on a regular basis. And please, since I have to repeat one of my answers, I get to also repeat a question of yours, which I would like answered: Why are you looking at ship stats for a field commander character? They don't use that tree, regardless of your curiosity.

So the answer pretty much boils down to 'If its not on the chart, it doesn't matter'. Thank you, you could have just said that plainly.
Also, I never said it was 'for' a field commander. I didn't say it was for anything.

I did say quite plainly, and added reasoning behind it. Much as you tend to be direct and to the point in answering my questions. If you seek to critique anything else, just post it here. Maybe I can help alleviate your idle curiosities further. But please, in the future, try not to skim over what I write. I generally have purpose for everything I state.

If you don't like questions regarding it, then don't make it to where it has to be questioned. -shrugs-

I don't mind answering questions. I do take offense to the constant snarky attitude and disrespect upon giving the answers. There is a bit of difference between "I don't understand" and "Thank you" compared to "You didn't answer anything".
Just saying.

The attitude is your imagination, Nelo.
Had nothing to do with understanding, it is what the fact that you took the long way around to giving an indirect answer to a basic question.
We both see eye to eye here now.
