Kayla had stepped out of the car and was leaning over the nose of the truck, covering him should this girl not be human.

As she waled along, Sam heard a sound coming closer towards her. Instantly on alert, her eyes snapped towards the.. well she supposed it could be called a car if you squinted. It wasn't the car taht alarmed her however.
There were two people in the car that was speeding towards her. Sam's eyes widened in shock before she softly whispered to herself.
"Oh, this can't be good." Sam muttered unhappily as she stopped moving and curled into a sprinting position, both to minimize the target she would make and to prepare to book it the hell out of there.

The car skidded to a stop and a man got out of the drivers side quickly followed by a woman who tried to cover his body with her own. When the boy called out to her, she was momentarily confused. Realising waht he meant, she decided to be as vauge as possible. After all, she had no idea if she could trust these people.
"Where else would I be?" Sam called back casually, staying crouched down defensively. "Back with the Acids? No bloody way, pal."

"She's alive!" Kayla whispered in shock to Reaper. Maybe she could be of use to them.
"Are you infected?" Kayla then yelled to the girl, now crouching behind a scrap heap on the side of the highway.

He says to himself and Kayla only.
"Ok first I was asking why you were out here, not where!"
"Second, unless you want me to just leave then can you give a more specific answer!"
He yells to her.
Still a bit irritated now.

'What is she? Mental?' Sam thought. She didn't say that out loud of course. No reason to offend some one that might want to kill you after all.
"Would I still be standing here without a bullet in my skull from my own gun if I was?" Seriously, some people just go around the bend when the world falls to the pits.

Kayla smiled at Reapers tone of voice. Clearly he was agitated...hopefully this girl wouldn't be too much of a pain to handle. They were dealing with far too much at the moment anyway. She decided it would be best to follow Reapers lead in this case and raised her gun again.
The girl replied that she was uninfected and yet Kayla still waited for her to answer Reapers questions.

"Also, Mr. Smartass, I'm out here because the reest of teh world is covered in the rotting, festering, walking corpses of the people I used to talk to everyday. This is the only place outside that I can go without a huge fear of people covered in that disgusting stuff that makes people go completely loco."

((Same here. That is his weakness is that he will hardly ever trust someone. Only a few people does he actually trust))

"Even if she is, I can stall it." Kayla whispered to Reaper. It would be nice to have another person around, but if the new girl was too far gone, then it was better off to leave her behind.

Sam rolled her eyes irritatedly. 'I mean, seriously buddy! I already that!' she thought.
"Yeah, I ain't infected. I wouldn't be standing here if I was." was her response as she slowly started to uncurl from her curled position.

Kayla lowered her gun and raised her head to look at Reaper questioningly. She had no problem with bringing the girl over and having someone else in on their plan might be a good idea. Especially if they offered to feed, look after and protect the girl if she helped her.

He whispers to Kayla.
((Also Smexy said new characters are with her. We really are not in a group since we are kinda renegade here. XP))
"Yeah well just because someone gets infected doesn't mean they are going to be an acid until after 3 days, so you can never be too careful."
He yells to the new person.

"Oh Please! Now your just being a right pain in the arse! No Acid got close enough to me to bite me or touch me. If they had gotten that close, their heads woulda gone flying, boy!" Sam said as she slammed the tip of her bat into the pavement fo remphasis.
"Not to mention the fact that if I got bite, what with there being no cure, I would shot myself dead right then and there." This was said with utter conviction. There was no way Sam would ever let herself be an Acid. Not when she had a choice.

((Yeah but Smexy hasn't been on in almost a week. I don't want to over rule her authority here, but what can we do right?))
"So I'm special?" Kayla grinned, teasingly as she made her way out from behind the truck and toward the girl. Knowing that Reaper would follow and cover her, Kayla headed down the road to the girl, planning to make peace.
"Hey, who said there isn't a cure?" Kayla asked loudly, resolving to not tell this new girl that she had almost been turned and that Reaper was infected.
