Hal smiled some. "Well...we do still need to talk to that woman about what happened earlier." he said, looking down at his ring as he activated it. "She does seem to know what's going on in that field. And we need to try and get the other heroes back. Or at least get a better idea of what one of the allies is like that we could be facing." Hal replied.
Alex gave the man in green a puzzled look before glancing over to Paragon and his mother. "Am I the only one who's lost here?"

"Yes," Lucas and Sandra replied, their attention firmly on the other group.
Carol frowned. "So... shall we look for this woman, Hal?" she asked.

Alex sighed a bit and tried to pay attention. Though, she didn't really know what they were talking about. Green Lanterns? Black Lanterns? The missing heroes thing was all she really understood.
"I suppose so." Hal replied, looking around the rest of the hall.

talma looked at alex "Nope i'm lost too. Have been since Hal jordan walked in the room" said the red head shyly as she sat in the corner.

Carlie suddenly clapped her hands together. "Okay! So! We've gotten the recruits here, and now we have to find that woman! I bet our rings can find her!" she said happily, before suddenly running out of the room, attempting to find Edel with her ring.
Carol quirked an eyebrow, looked to Hal, and then shrugged, beckoning him and the others to follow. As it turned out, Billy was the first to follow Carlie, then Carol, then Sandra and Lucas.

Hal watched his daughter run off, shook his head a bit, and followed after the rest of the pack.
Alex, on the other hand, wasn't so eager to go walking through the house to find someone. With a small sigh, she crossed her arms and leaned against the wall next to the kitchen door.

Carlie frowned after a few minutes of searching; nothing seemed to be showing up. Discouraged, she opened a door at random-- and found Edel.
"Well... That was... Convenient." she muttered to herself, before walking up to Edel. "Hi there. Uhm... My mother and father are sort of wanting to know what to do next..." she said to Edel. And as if on cue, Carol walked in, along with Sandra, Billy, Lucas, and Hal.

Edel blinked and looked over at the girl. "Oh. Well...I was needing to discuss things here. Privately for a moment. I'm sure you're all welcome to stay and help yourselves to the house." Edel replied, then paused a moment in thought. "Your mother is here now? Well...perhaps now would be a good time for you to go to the mall as you wanted. I'm sure it would be more enjoyable with you mother than it would be with your father." she said with a small smile.

Carlie's eyes widened. "I can go shopping now?" she asked excitedly, and Carol blinked.
"Uh... That seems a bit... sudden, but... I suppose..." she said hesitantly, and Carlie hugged her mother happily. While initially shocked at first, Carol quickly calmed down and smiled at her daughter, apparently taking the appearance of said daughter from the future in stride.

"Well, Hal, even superheroes need time off to relax, world-in-peril or not." Carol said.
"That's what I said!" Carlie replied. "But Dad was all 'Noooo, we dun has time.... I has no money, waaah-waaaah'," Carlie said with a grin, and Carol smiled.
"Well... I suppose your father was always more... work-oriented..." she said, and mother and daughter cast identical smirks Hal's way.

Hal, despite the humor the two women were sharing, wasn't smiling. "Considering we'll be dealing with the Blackest Night all over again, with significantly LESS numbers on our side than we had before...yes. I think I can be a little work oriented right now."

"Yes, Hal, I get that. But still, taking a small break isn't exactly a bad thing, especially if you're doing so with your daughter." Carol replied.
"Yeah, Dad. One thing that you gotta watch out for is working yourself to death. I get that this is important, but... Just because we could be out having fun doesn't mean we can't keep one eye-- or ear-- out for trouble, you know?" Carlie said with a frown.

Carlie's eyes widened, and she frowned, looking down. She didn't want to upset her father...
Then Carol placed a reassuring hand on her daughter's shoulder, and smiled at her. "Don't worry, Carlie," she said softly. "Hal's just... Hal."
Carlie didn't seem all that reassured. She looked to Hal, a wounded expression on her face, and mumbled: "I'm sorry Dad. I'll focus... Just... I don't want you mad at me..."
