"They didn't do anything. You're an escapee now. Everything that they had for us now knows this and will try to subdue us if we use it. Now, come on, Kioko, let's get you out of here first," Strobe said, "After all, that thing scanned you, so you'll be the prime suspect." He was holding his gun in his left hand, offering his right to her.

Kioko nodded and took his hand. she turned to the others and looked at them.

The metal zippers, plates, and designs on Crow's boots clinked loudly as he walked up the stairs to meet the rest of the group. In his right hand was what looked to be a head, not human, but that of mechanical droid. Naturally the house being Max's father's, it had defenses, he had heard it activate as he had been staying in the same spot listening and watching since they'd arrived. He tossed the remains of the house's guard to the side and jerked his head back, signaling that he thought they should be leaving now.

"Before we go, do you think you might have a shirt that'd fit me, Max?" Strobe asked quickly. He really wanted to get Kioko out of there fast.

Kioko turned at Strobe. "are you sure you wanna come with me? i mean, i can go ahead and you catch up with the rest." she said with a worried expression. "Kioko Mizuko huh?" His lips surving ever so slightly. It was time to hunt. He reeled in his wires back to his body and ran towards the direction of the house. His eyes scanning everything.

At her words, Strobe thought for a moment. It would be better for him if he were to let her leave. Maybe better for her, because her party would be small. No, he said, shaking off the thought. There's no way I could. That would be like abandoning... Her... again.
"I'm coming with you, Kioko, and I'll defend you from whatever's hunting you." He said, finality in his voice.

Kioko nodded in her bear form. her powers weren't fully back yet and it hasnt reached 24 hours either for Strobe. If they were caught, then it would be bad timing and luck. she gave a quick glance to the others and bolted out of the door.

Vijay ran and jumped through the thick brushes that were the accursed forest. He loved his job. It gave him the carefree status and was allowed to roam outside of the lab. As long as he followed instructions. The technology fused within him prevented him from going against the instructions. But he wasnt complaining. he stopped at where there seemed to be a big fight. The trees were uprooted and lots of un-natural earth was raised in mounds. behind it was a cave. He continued to move forward and got to the back where a huge hole in the cave showed up.
"I've heard that those 2 were after them. didnt think they'd have to fight this hard just to have them escape. what a bunch of weaklings." he said as he scanned the DNA traces of Angelo & (forgot his name...)
Vijay also picked up some animal traces and other experiments. This was going to be fun. He ran across an area where a damage line was clearly shown, all the trees in that pathway was uprooted.

Strobe followed close behind her.
"You know, you can't be in a bear form when we reach the city. They'll just call animal control on you, then it's all over," Strobe said as he ran. Not to mention that I can't keep this speed up forever like you can, he thought to himself, breathing hard already.
Strobe's eyes widened for a moment, and he quickly checked the safety on his gun, switching it off. That could have been a disastrous and fatal move if they had run into an enemy.
"What do you mean, you sent Vijay!" Angelo shouted into the camera of his laptop.
"When it became apparent that you two weren't getting the job done, we decided to bring in someone else. Someone with a record just as good as yours, who has a nice little power which, we think, will be just what this battle needs," said the shadowy figure in the screen.
"Vijay is a rank amateur! He'll never be able to pick them out if the get to Miami without drawing attention to the lab!" Angelo shouted before collapsing, moments later, into a twitching heap. The tingle in his neck subsided as the electric pulse from his implant died away.
"Vijay is just as good, and maybe even better, than both of you! If he'd been on the job since day 1, the escapees would never have gotten this far! They were in the home of the Deputy Director, for Christs sake!" The figure shouted. "Now, I suggest you leave the man to his work and come strait back, NOW!" With that, the screen flashed off.
"We going home now?" Ventus asked, his finger flicking his bottom lip.
"No, Ventus. We've got to get back on top of our game, even if it means shoving that asswipe Vijay's rep in the dirt. Now, Ventus, we're going to beat him to the punch."
Ventus clapped his hands together, like a child at the circus. He was going to have more fun.

Crow followed at a distance behind Kioko and Strobe, keeping their energy signatures in check to make sure they were alright, but staying far away enough not to draw attention to them. Still his eyes and ears emphasized focus on anything unfamiliar, he didn't expect to get away clean after lab scanners had pinpointed their location, but maybe they could manage to avoid the majority of the conflict.

max had sent patrick home, away from the danger, but he knew patrick would hear him wherever he was. now he wished patrick had been here. he could have scrambled the transmission. now though, patrick was on alert, and ready to help from a distance however he could.

(( YAY! its exciting again! lol))
Kioko looked back and switched into the form of a fox again, this time, it was orange like any other found in Florida. she slowed down her pace, forgetting the fact that Strobe didnt have the energy to keep up right now.
Using what energy she wa able to retrieve from relaxing, she used it to find the direction of the town. It was due northeast and still a few miles further.
Damn, why did they build the lab so far from the city? She thought to herself.

Vijay ran as fast as his legs could take him. This mission had been the first group runaway mission in a long time. The last one he could remember was well over a year ago. If he could take at least one of them back, he would be honored. Kioko was known for being a tracker and offensive type back when she followed the rules.
He then stoppd abbruptly once he exited the thick forest and landed into a clearing. The house of the Deputy Director.
Pretty shabby he thought. It was a waste nobody lived there. and even more humiliating to the scientists since Angelo and Ventus wasnt able to track them here, the signs were all clear.
He stood in the clearing, pointing his hands down to the ground. suddenly, dozens of vines came out of the long sleeve that passed his arms. Even if his poewrs were very helpful, he hated how his arm looked when those vines came out. The electical vines dug deep underground, popping up inside the house surveying things for him. Unfortunately, it showed empty, except for the broken computer which showed they were here not too long ago. He scanned the area once again and found traces of the escapees' DNA heading for the city. With another jump, he began the chase again.

Crow breathed a sigh of relief as it seemed Kioko had slowed down for Strobe. They needed to reach the city quickly, but safely too. Crow didn't know how many would be sent after them, so he felt it best that the others stay in managable groups. He was getting a feel for these woods, it was getting easier to predict what terrain was ahead, though it might make it more difficult once they reached the city. He didn't bother leaping through the trees like he would alone, the others were too injured to cover their tracks so it would provide no cover.

Strobe shifted into a light jog beside the fox he knew as his friend.
"Thanks," He said, taking in deeper breaths. He wasn't sure, but it seemed to him that they had a lot of ground to cover before they were in the safety of the city. Tactically, this was some horrible news, especially with them being on the wrong end of an unbalanced power struggle.
"I got the last flag on their location," Angelo said, typing away on his keyboard. "Wow, the Director's house is way out in the marshes? Hell, it's not even too far from the lab. C'mon, Ventus. We can be there in minutes time." He stood and closed his company computer with one hand and thrust it into it's case. With that firmly attached to his back, he and Ventus faded out of visibility, and were gone.

patrick stepped out from behind a tree in front of vijay. "please, would you leave my friends alone? they havent done anything wrong." he 'looked' directly at vijay with his empty grey eyes.
