Yugi had been closing the front door. At her question, he froze, turning slowly to look at her. The color had faded from his face; his eyes had gotten an almost hollow look to them. This split-second transformation was startling to say the least. "You don't remember? At the hospital, when the demon came..." He knew that anybody else saying this would have sounded like a madman. He didn't feel chagrined in the least, however. What else could you call Luci but a demon?

"Well...I rember him pinning me to a wall and sudenly kissing me....It was all dark after that...everything was so cold..." kawi said looking at her hands. "After that...all I can rember is pain...."

"You probably don't want to know the details." Yugi said, sounding tired. Atem had probed and prodded him for every detail, to know more about Luci, and Yugi never wanted to relive that night again. "It's probably easier if... if you didn't..." His voice faded out and he looked to the ground meekly.

Kawi reached out and pulled yugi close "I love you" she told yugi nuzzling into his neck.

Yugi embraced Kawi readily, hugging her tightly. "I missed you." He said, feeling that it was unneeded for him to repeat what she had said. It should have been known to her how much he loved her.

"Atem tried to convince me into going back to Domino." Yugi said bluntly, suddenly remembering some of the many conversations he had had with his yami while Kawi was hospitalized. This may have been the wrong time for it, but he couldn't be sure if he would remember it later. "After you got better, of course. He said that everybody needed time apart, and that we should also try to get Ryou and Khalid separated. I think he's growing mad. I didn't agree, of course."

"Ah...was he going to leave ember And I here?" she asked seing as he said they needed to seperate.
Next door embers sleep had been inturupted by nausea. She ran to the bathroom getting sick.

Yugi nodded solemnly. "That's why I wouldn't agree. It wouldn't be fair to you or Ember. I think he does need some time to think things out, though, but not like going back to Japan. Maybe he should return to the puzzle and stew for a while." Atem stirred slightly when Ember left, but didn't fully wake up until he heard her in the bathroom. He sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Are you okay?" He asked, sluggish from sleep.

"But embers still pregnant isent she?It wouldent be fair to just leave her..." kawi said.
After a moment ember came back into the bedroom "just dandy" she muttered.

"I don't know what else to do." Yugi admitted sadly. He was overjoyed to have Kawi back, but couldn't help but worry about his other self. "Yami-- Er, Atem-- won't get angry with Ember or anybody else. He had an absurd notion that anything bad that happens to our friends is because of him in one way or another. He's going to keep bottling his feeling up until he bursts in some furious fit or he'll go mad." Yugi had to bite his bottom lip to stop himself from adding something more to this. "I can't force him to talk about it with Ember, but I doubt he really would anyway. I can only think that leaving him alone for a time is best. I just wish he had better sense and better timing." Atem peered at the window, and seeing that there was little light outside, groaned. "Too early to get up. Let's get more sleep." He mumbled, rolling onto his side and drawing the blankets up around him.

"yea lets-" ember stoped mid sentnce and ran back into the bathroom.
"hopfully he'll start talking soon" kawi said.

Atem sighed heavily as he listened to Ember. He wished he could offer some assistance in making her feel better, but doubted that any such thing would be possible under the current circumstances.

After a moment ember crawled back into but cuddling to atem.

Atem, already half asleep, murmured softly when Ember came back. He didn't roll over to return her cuddling, but did relax somewhat.
