The scent of blood filled the air, a familiar blood. Shadow quickly stood and followed the scent with his hand firmly gripped onto the hilt on his sword, ready to kill any who were nearby if they posed a threat. His slow causious walk turned to a run and his run to a sprint until he reach a broken and battered body. He felt a sickness in his stomach that he had not felt for many thousands of years, not since the battles of his youth. "Nadea..." he said under his breath as he managed to identify her from her scent. He could barely recodnise her after all the damage that had been done. His hand left the hilt of his sword as he knelt down beside her. He had to determine if she was still 'alive' before he could do anything.

"I will not let anyone harm your son, Nadea. Me and you need to have a little in deapth talk about this... being once you are fixed up." Shadow said in a soft tone. He wasn't going to let anyone harm anyone within the walls of the mansion, he would die first. "I'm going to try healing you now so brace yourself. It will hurt like hell." he said as he started to cast the Invokation of Nehek, a spell that he was getting very good at casting once more due to the number of injeries he had to heal on people here and his own army. Shadow kept chanting the Ivokation, building up more energy than he normaly would allow. He wanted to be sure that Nadea was properly healed and to do that required a massive build up. After time he reached the desired amount of energy, he would have gone for more but he was having some trouble containing it all with Shyesh in its current state. He placed his hands over Nadea and let the healing surge pass out of him and into her.

Shadow had released every last bit of energy he had gathered. If he wasn't already on his knees he would have fallen to them. He took slow deep breaths as he tried to recover from the strain of casting the spell in such a way."Are...you...alright...now." he said inbetween breaths. He could cast more if she needed it. If not he would have to get her inside, fed and possibly rested, depending on how she felt.

Shadow took a few minutes to calm his breathing before he spoke. "I am fine. I have survive much worse." he said as he forced himself to his feet. "What happened to you? Was it that.. Az...r... that thing you spoke of to me before?" he asked as he offered a hand down to her.

"He will suffer greatly for what he has done to you. I will make sure of it but I do need to know exactly what he is before I can do that." Shadow said with a serious tone. No one hurts his friends and gets away lightly. "Let us get you fed before you rest. Your body needs it now. Come on." he said as he started to walk back inside the mansion. He did get the feeling that Nadea wasn't telling him everything but he wasn't going to press the matter. He knew Nadea would tell him in time, she always did. All he could do now was be the friend that he was and comfort her in these dark times. "I promise you that he will not harm your son, Nadea. Not while I am still alive."

Shadow sat down next to her. He didn't know what else to say but he felt Nadea could use the company before she went off to sleep. That was all he could do right now other than offer reasuring words here and there. He felt bad for not investigating the disturbance he had felt in the winds now. He wouldn't make the same mistake twice. "Nadea... this may not be the right time but I have to ask. How long ago did this happen? I need to know because I may have a way to track him if he shows up near here again." he said. If Nadea didn't want to respond he would accept her silence as an answer.

"So it was him causing the disturbance. The timing is just too conveniant." Shadow wispered to himself. "Don't say anymore than you feel comfortable saying Nadea. I won't press you to say anything." The more Shadow heard about this thing the more he wanted to rid the world of it. It was what his kind use to do back in his youth, rid the world of those that it could not bare having on it, to protect those who lived in the on the world. He may have failed so far but soon he would ensure that the clans resumed what they use to do.
