Dr.Nightz Diamond is one of the hardest metals (If not THE hardest metal) known to man. As crz points out, that applies to the scratch test. No other material will scratch diamond, but diamond can scratch other materials. Diamond can still be broken, even cut and crafted into lovely jewels for ridiculous prices.
It's true, in some stories diamonds have been used to make strong weapons and armor. But diamond is not unbreakable.
A spidersilk-like substance would make a nice outer layer. Ah yeah...

An adept of the wizards on Tolaria. Initially Ertai was an arrogant, untested wizard of potentially great power. When his mentor Barrin elected not to join the Weatherlight crew, Ertai came in his place. He was needed to cast the spell to cross into the Plane of Rath, but after that they found out that they couldn’t leave the same. The only means for the ship to leave Rath was a mysterious portal, which only could be manipulated by powerful magic. Ertai volunteered to prepare the portal for the Weatherlight’s return from the Stronghold. Than he was confronted by the Soltari. In the end the Soltari emissary, Lyna, and Ertai struck a bargain: the Soltari would help open the portal so the Weatherlight could escape; in return, he would hold it open long enough for them to also escape Rath and the half-life they endured there. Augmented by the Skyshaper, the Weatherlight outran her pursuers to the portal, which opened as planned. Later Ertai had an intimate relationship with the Phyrexian Emissary Belbe. She offered him the position of Evincar of Rath, but he refused. After Belbe was killed by Eladamri, Ertai fully joined the Phyrexians as was transformed into a parody of humanity. Ertai continued serving Crovax during the Phyrexian Invasion. Ertai was eventually defeated by Squee.
So, yeah. I think I'll make Urza, or Yawgmoth. Then fight him with that.

I'm currently doing a study into psionics, planar magics, etc.
For one: psionic abilities such as telepathy (sensing, or even effecting thoughts), 'empathy' (in this case, effecting emotions or sensing them), precognition (seeing future events), remote viewing (obviously, seeing ahead without one's own eyes; possibly through other's), and those that effect the nervous system...
Can all be negated, if someone had something that constantly regulated a signal to your nerves throughout your body, forcing you to stay on a similiar or 'normal' pattern of thoughts and acts, the latter more so.
Alternatively; if one falls unconcious physically, their body is utterly immune to the above, as any mind effects would be distorted - and nervous system actions would be sluggish-to-null, since the body would constantly relay a signal for the entire system to 'relax', for the limbs to not move as much for the heart-beat to stay at a slower pace.
So, if one were to be able to keep their character unconcious but still "controlled", somehow, that can also negate a large number of psionic techniques.
However, these would not effect abilities that effect the physical world; moving objects with your mind towards an enemy, for instance, would certainly not be negated by any of the above. In other words, any kinesis action [to move, to act.]
Just a thought.

Gotta work out a good defense against those abilities for Deity's human character...a psionic barrier will work against some, like telepathy...though it won't help against the more extreme powers.
