KB merely stared down the black-bladed shortsword, and it lunged downwards. Stabbing itself into the ground, it lay their dormant for a moment. It seemed that in the face of Xol's throw KB had decided to redirect the force as opposed to openly fight it.
This of course left the matter of the chain that had arced outwards. In response to that, KB had lunged forwards with speed that seemed unhindered by his form. The sword in his right upper hand would swing down to parry the incoming blade as KB leapt into the air and backwards to dodge the orb that had been sent at his feet. Landing hard on the ground, KB would turn and start towards the barrier. He had work to do, and pointlessly fighting Xol wouldn't be helping that work get done. He'd defend himself, but he'd still continue towards the barrier.

*Mastema had barely moved his hands away from Nana when she began to collapse. His arms fully wrapped around her waist, quickly and carefully at the same time. He would droop a little, so Nana didn't just jerk to a stop, and slowly rose back up. He would start again, only with steps being about half of what he'd been doing so far* That was my fault; my apologies. Are you badly pained?

~.~;
I'll live....
*Slowly rising back up with Mastema, Nana would take a moment to overcome the wave of pain that surely must have overcome her, and begins again. She'd hold onto Mastema's shoulders more tightly now, as she didn't want to fall again. It wasn't a pleasant experience, to say the least*

*In an odd moment of hesitance, Mastema nodded. Mastema was moving about half as far and half as fast now, so Nana would have much more time to adjust herself and coordinate her steps. Mastema also noted the increased grip on his shoulders; in response, Mastema had more firmly put his hands and arms around Nana's waist* I am trying to take you over to the window; we are almost half way

He simply grinned, the blades zipping back to him as he ran in hot pursuit of KB. It didn't matter how fast or where he ran, he was playing right into his hands now.
Xol pulled his arms back and thrust them forward to which the blades followed in a tight arc, one aiming at his legs and the other at his midsection. The would block his path from left to right giving him only the escape of jumping up or leaping forward. Both directions would be greeted by the unexploded orbs that had previously missed their target, but were now circling back around.
Two more blades formed at the top of his gauntlets, sliding out roughly two odd feet. This would be the blades that would be ready to impale KB if he decided to to leap backwards out of harms way.
"Naughty, naughty KB... running from a battle is most dishonerable!"
An insane glint was shining off Xol's multicolored eyes. They were both focused on KB's back as his scarf trailed behind ready to defelct any surprises left behind by the quick moving enemy.

Hnn... all right.
*It had been ages since Nana had looked outside, and no doubt the light would hurt her eyes, natural, filtered, or even the blinking building lights across the citadel if it was dark. At least until Nana became accustomed to them again. She could see the curtain behind Mastema, they'd both be to the window shortly*

*After a few slower intervals between the normal ones, the two would be at the window, and Nana would be able to see out of the window into the dim lights of the citadel. Since it was night, there was just the glimmer of the barrier and the street lights below, so it probably wouldn't hurt nana's eyes much if at all to look at them*

Annoyed by Xol's persistance, KB would simply vanish once more. However, this time he didn't reappear. It seemed that KB had fled for the time. The swords, or what remained of them, would also disappear without a trace. In any case, KB had more work to do, and would have to wait until the Citadel barrier was left unguarded.

Xol stopped as both sets of his blades retracted and dissolved into his gauntlets. The two null energy orbs would collide and explode in a blast leveling a good hundred odd yards. A deep crater scared the landscape, matching the many others from the last battle that had occured.
"How... dissapointing..."
He frowned lightly at KB's sudden flight. It made no difference though as he would meet his fate soon enough.
With nothing more left to do, Xol simply began walking away from the Citadel. Odd since he made it a point to transport every where nowdays.

*One thing Nana's eyes did focus on right away, where the thin blue and red lines of energy that covered some of the buildings. The Heart supplying the city the energy it needed; Nana had nearly forgotten about the heart, in her current state. She had wanted to make it stronger, so it could supply more power when needed to protect all of the beings living in the citadel. Nana seemed to be rather pleased for now. If she only knew another battle was taking place just outside the barrier again*
=___=
Oh how I've missed seeing the outside.

*Mastema chuckled breifly, still holding Nana up with both hands* I can understand that. You have spent more time than your character would normally allow in this room. Once you are well again, I shall join you in your garden. *Mastema wasn't looking out the window; he was actually looking around the room. No doubt nana was going to want to make a few more trips*

Hnn... I'd enjoy that very much. heart
*Mastema would be right of course. Nana would want to walk until her body no longer allowed it, and then a little more. She'd be sore like crazy afterwards, but that was just the price she'd have to pay in order to get better. Mastema could help her recover more quickly, and that would give her an edge. Being able to recover quickly then begin again, would hopefully be beneficial*

*Mastema's hands would casually and pretty much automatically brush against Nana's sides; a habit* Hmm.... I believe I have something which may speed your recovery greatly, but it will be more useful when you are asleep. It seemed to help Micha quite well when he was awake, so its effects will be much more drastic when you are resting. *Mostly likely, Mastema was talking about the same drink he'd given Micha when the boy woke up. Evidently, he thought it would have revitalizing effects on Nana* Come now, would you like to continue?

--___--;
Oh? Do tell.
*The phrase "it seemed", was a bit sketchy. What exactly was it that Mastema had given their son? The question was on Nana's mind, but it almost sounded as if it was for Micha, a test. If that was the case, Nana probably would have a few words for Mastema later. Their children were not tools to experiment new creations on, and neither was she. This time around the room, hopefully Mastema wouldn't let go. Nana still wasn't strong enough yet and wouldn't be for a few days, but this stuff Mastema spoke of, might just help her recovery along a bit faster*
--___--;
Yes, I think that would be good. Lets's continue...
