*Mastema nodded at Nana's resilience* I understand. Then simply tell me what you wish to do and I shall assist you in any way possible. It would be the least I can do for not doing more. *Even before she said anything, Mastema would sit himself upright again, this time sitting Nana up slowly with him. She would be able to lean on him or the bed for support, so it shouldn't have been too painful or exhaustive*

*Still feeling mucsle sore, Nana would exibit a slightly contorted face, but she could bare it. What Nana wanted right now was to see thw children, but she wanted to be able to see them on her own without aid. For that she'd need to work up her leg strength first. Walking around the room would be a good start, and once she could do that successfully enough, then next would be the stairs, and then onto the children's room. This would of course not all take place in one day however. Phia seemed just fine when she left the capsule she'd been in for half a year, but perhaps that was because of her status as a vampire, a creature undead. Nana on the other hand had spent slightly less time in a similar situation, though she showed signs of muscle degradation. Nana would begin her recovery now*

I want to be able to walk again. So-- would you help me wander, if only a little?

In the superheated coils of Xol's chain, the black-bladed shortsword would melt. It seemed to become liquid metal nearly instantly, and in a burst of telekinetic power exploded point blank in front of Xol. Of course the liquid metal would burn, but for the most part the bigger problem would be if the metal stayed on long enough to cool.

That aside, the second sword that had been thrown to the ground acted of it's own accord. As Xol made an effort to stomp on it, the blade would barrel roll to the side, tumbling between Xol's legs before shooting upwards. KB knew from past fights that Xol didn't posess sexual organs unless the situation was appropriate, but as the blade came up it aimed to tear deeply into Xol's left thigh. Assuming that Xol was based off the average humanoid structure, the thigh would in theory cause a lot of mist loss. In any case, KB was hoping the heat in the air around Xol's weapons would suck dry all the moisture, and effectively dissipate the mist entirely. Such an effect might seal the wounds shut, but in theory might make the loss irreversible.

The one remaining shortsword aside, KB moved with fluid grace as the blades shot underground. A quick backstep with his long legs moved him out of the way of the blades, though only barely. So barely in fact, that he'd brought both pairs of swords together upon each chain. Attempting to catch them in a scissorlock with each pair of swords, one might assume he meant to cut the chain. KB's mechanical voice would growl, before begginning to go fuzzy and simply blank out. The swords he wielded would seem to manage to take the heat, though everything around him didn't seem so lucky. The cloak that adorned his body burst into flame to reveal his full stature, though the exoskeleton would definately be scorched. His wings revealed, they stayed folded close to his back to avoid being damaged or interupting combat.

The six eyes would lock onto varying targets in the very instant the hood stopped blocking their path. Two would dedicate themselves to the blades and linked chain. Another pair would briefly dedicate themselves to tracking the orbs that formed in Xol's hands. The last pair didn't seem to focus on anything in particular, but rather served as standard sight. At this point in time, KB was operating at less than the desired effectiveness. Of course, the stature of his metallic frame was daunting, and an odd pair of weapons were strapped on his legs, one on the outside of each thigh. They seemed to be oddly designed versions of an uzi. Of course, as one might expect thermal imagering had been turned off.

The sword exploded and before any of the liquid metal could touch his skin, he himself exploded into a plume of black mist. This would successfully cause the second blade to shoot up through the mist and get caught by the first melted sword.

He would appear roughly ten feet in front KB, the ground behind him violently ripping apart as the one of the blades ripped free of the scissorlock his blades had and came bearing down, threatening to cleave him in half. Xol's other blade would be caught inbetween KB's blades, but unlike most metals it did not get mallable when heated. He would find the chain impossible to break and threatening to pull him off balance as Xol tugged from the other end.

With a mad dash to KB's left side, he disengaged the chains from his wrist momentarily and launched one of his null matter orbs at his foe's front. The second orb would stay in reserve as he counted on the first to disorient due to the massive wave of heat, energy and debris being released from the blast.

He waited for KB's reaction before attempting to move in.

Although the being in front of him had an impressive stature and an odd structure of arnaments, Xol was in no way intimitaded. This was not the first time he had had to face an opponent larger and better armed then him and wouldn't be the last.

*Mastema offered one of his "comforting" grins and nodded* It would be my pleasure. One moment.... *Mastema would slowly move away from Nana, as not to take away all her support at once. Once off the bed, he easily made his way to Nana's side. Offering both of his hands, he stood ready to help her out of the bed by her hands* Whenever you feel ready, dear.

*Taking a deep breath and opening her eyes, Nana would take Mastema's hands and nod. She wanted to be strong for herself and for the children, and this was a good first step, literally. Nana would need a little help up, but she was willing to try on her own reguardless. With this kind of determination, there was little that could probably stop Nana at all, from reaching her goal*

o___o

I'm ready.

*Mastema nodded and firmly grasped Nana's hands. Nana would find herself being pulled upward by her arms, slowly. Though mastema was helping, most of the effort would rely on Nana's legs. Mastema merely was to make sure she got all the way up*

The liquified sword splashed to the ground harmlessly, the second sword being covered in the molten metal. In any case, the second black-bladed shortsword would have a slight ways to travel before reaching Xol. the blade would shoot towards Xol, sizzling as the metal bore holes into it. It would attempt to plunge into Xol's back, though it would take a few moments to reach him.

KB would of course at this point let Xol's blade that was caught in the hold free, letting it pull back into the earth. At this point the swords in KB's hands had already begun to absorb a large amount of heat, taking on a dark reddish glow. Sparks would rain off the blades as they slid out of the scissorlock.

KB's upper pair of arms would swing overhead to catch the descending blade in a simalar way. His eyes locked on the coming orb, KB would vanish briefly. Only moments later, KB would reappear off to Xol's right side about 10 or so feet away. From there, he'd throw forth the two lower long swords, the spinning red hot blades aimed to cut Xol in half. It wasn't extremely effective to throw a longsword, but it would suffice. For they were mainly a diversion and to free KB's hands as they shot down to the holsters. Drawing the two weapons, one in each hand, they'd flare to life with a flare of dark green. For the moment KB hadn't opened fire, but rather had crossed the two swords in his grip in front of himself and slightly above the two lower weapons.

*With some stress on her lower extremities, and pain, Nana finally got to her feet. She was barefoot, unless her shoes had remained upon her feet for the past several months. Upon standing up, Nana would embrace Mastema in as tight a hug as she could. She was aching all over, and that would probably remain the same for a good while yet, but it also told her that she was alive. This would not be an easy endevor, and it would be painful more than likely, but it was the only way for Nana to truly heal. Certainly Mastema could give her comfort, and make the pain go away, but he should reserve such things until after each of these rehabilitation sessions*

*Mastema hugged Nana in return when she made it to her feet. Stroking her back, slowly, Mastema would allow Nana a moment or two to overcome the new pain in her body* If the pain becomes too great, let me know and I shall lessen it until you feel ready again. I will push you only as far as you want to go. *The pressure he was applying to her back was not any kind of magic; it was just a simple massage to lessen the pain a little. Mastema had no reason not to do at least that*

*There would no doubt be a great deal of pain from Nana's wings aswell. They added extra weight that pulled on Nana's back, but her wings also needed to recover, as did every aching muscle. After a good minute or so, Nana would finally raise her head again and tilt slightly back from Mastema. He knew the room well enough that he could walk through it, backwards hopefully, and Nana would follow forward with him, one step at a time. She needed to do this for herself*

*Mastema knew when Nana was ready to proceed and placed his hands on her hips, so she could easily keep track of him* Try to keep your hands on my shoulders, if you need to suddenly support yourself. *Mastema would slowly, very slowly in fact, take steps backwards. His steps were no larger than half a foot at any given step*
PostPosted: Mon Feb 06, 2006 10:28 pm

*Placing both of her hands on either of Mastema's broad shoulders, Nana would take one painful step after another. She'd grit and bare it though, it was all she could do. The children needed their mother, and Mastema needed his wife, Nana had to get better. It was a struggle now, but once she could finally walk on her own again, Nana would feel very accomplished and proud of herself*

Mmhmm.

*Mastema watched Nana rather intently. A part of him, as per his persona, took joy in seeing another person struggle and suffer for something they wanted. The reasons he enjoyed such tastes were questions he might not have bothered to answer to himself* Just let me know if you want to go faster or slower. *Knowing Nana's objective was to be independent, Nana would slowly feel Mastema's hands move further from her waist, meaning she was walking more and more on her own*

Xol's scarf snapped out, wrapping around the blade coming towards his back and tossing it towards KB's throat. The blade KB had released would snap back to it's master and zip back out in a wide arc, aimed to cut off the arms holding the 'guns' at the elbow.

The two long swords coming at his midsection would be delfected by Xol's second blade which would contort in air to almost a snake like shape... 'watching' KB.

"..."

Xol tossed his second orb at KB, this one streaking in erratic movements towards his legs. His multicolored eyes focused on the aforementioned man, not facing him but instead turning his head with a slight tilt. Like his foe, he was not even close to peaking the power of his current form.

*Unfortunately, Mastema was moving far to fast but then again, that would only feed to his sadistic side a little more. Nana had started to reply to Mastema, but as he let go and started to back away, she more or less would drop like a stone. She had barely been on her feet for three minutes and had only taken a few small steps before Mastema had let go. No doubt Mastema could catch her, before she fell to far, but still.... too fast. Nana was nowhere near ready to be let go of, that much had just been made obvious, but there was also no doubt that it would happen again, and again. Both to test if Nana was ready, and to give Mastema that little saddistic kick he'd been missing out on for a while*

Hnn, all rig-- ah!
