...How does Tosen know Japanese? How does Yoruichi? What the hell is Komamura and why does he look like he exists for the furries? Why is Soi Fon chinese? How does everyone in Soul Society know Japanese? This might make sense if there was seperate Soul Societies, but that's not the case.
I don't think Kubo knew Bleach would take off like this, thus did not think it through as he went into Soul Society with obvious plot holes.

It's not really a plot hole, it's just a device in place so that the language barrier is nonexistant to make the plot less confusing. It's the same in other manga. In Negima, a group of 20 or so Japanese girls went to Wales and were able to communicate freely with everyone there, despite the obvious language barrier. They also went to a magical world and were able to communicate freely with all of it's inhabitants.

It's because he's always drunk/stoned. Zenos seems stoic but I be actually he has a constant inner monologue going where he's questioning life, the universe, and everything.
No a plot hole is how when characters are talking they inflate Ichigo's power to god-like levels, but when fighting starts he's really just a b***h and the other Captains are the real workhorses. I mean ******** remember when he BEAT Kenpachi? Bullshit. No way that could happen given what we've seen Kenpachi do without any of the Deus Ex power ups that Ichigo has gotten.
