We're talking about Pokemon Red/Blue (In Japan)+ Purple/Green, Puppet.

Dusks, there was no Pokemon Purple game(unless it's a hack). I saw a Pokemon Pink hack once. It was Pokemon Red with a female main character. That was the only difference I think.
Anyways, gone to bed

There was a Red and Green in Japan. Then they made a third one which is known as Blue. When the games came over to North America only two of those came over, Red and Blue. After that the games started getting metallic and jewel names(Gold, Sapphire, Diamond, etc.)
So no there was no Purple version officially released by Nintendo. You must be confused with a hack.

I always thought it was American versions being stupid again. ...that is all

@ Estu: Yeah apparently they had a Pokemon Blue version which came after Red and Green. But since it was so similar only two of those games came over here. I think it's in Wiki if you ever want to read up on it(in other words, if you're bored silly).
