Whether he was in his right mind or not, if he was the one hacking up bodies, it still falls on his shoulder. Drugs don't have a personality or a will of their own, so they don't "possess" people. It didn't take over his "free will". That's like saying -

It wasn't drugs/alcohol that was necessarily doing it. It was the deterioration of his brain from repeated head trauma.

So, we should blame all the people who play-bashed him into the floor for the murders?

I just can't see any guy killing his family and then being found innocent due to "not in their right mind". He our anyone in said situation should have some sort of repercussion.

On a somewhat not related topic -

For all who do drink whether for the purpose of the taste, the buzz, the shitfaced, or all of the above; What say you to this quote.

"Drunk words are sober thoughts."

Personally, I think that's stupid. They say that what people say and do when they are drunk are what they really think or what they really want to do. Mind you, though, I don't drink. Am not old enough to, but I don't plan on being a drinker in any form when coming of age(though Abba seems to think I will crumble come my 21st lol).

1. He did suffer a repercussion! He's DEAD. Also, people have every right to put the blame on others in this situation. Society in general should be ashamed that as a result of their insatiable need to watch senseless violence, this poor man was reduced to jumping from heights and smashing his brain to bits! If my life revolved around that sorts of.....PAYASERIA i would probably go on a killing rampage as well.

2. That quote couldn't be more true. Loss of inhibition means loss of the ability to keep yourself from speaking everything on your mind. Its very unfortunate. D: also, i wont be happy until you've succumbed to drinking @ 21. don't worry! you have like 2 more years before you have to worry about that anyway. <3

Holy s**t, was he on any other kind of drug? Just steroids? That's really crazy. eek
It's been so long that I don't recall what drugs were in his system. I know there was elevated levels of testosterone (which would be a form of steroids that he used). I believe there was also alcohol in his system. There might have been other dugs or I could be thinking about what was in the wife's system. I don't remember. whee

Well, at least he's back in somewhat good graces since he's no longer considered a cold-blooded murderer who planned the killing of his family over a weekend. Yeah, he murdered his family, but at least now we know he wasn't in his right mind when he did it. This also explains the random text messages that made no sense that he sent to co-workers. It was because of those messages that people started wondering about him and called the police to check on things.

It's nice to have some answers now and good that his brain was checked. As it was last left, it seemed as though we'd never know anything and think a sane Benoit deliberately killed his family on his own free will.

*wonders if he'll have more of a possibility of being in the WWE Hall of Fame now*
Oh yeah. Alzheimer's (spelled correctly, wtg Rob xD) patients are supposed to be on 24/7 watch & not just because they can't control their body functions or have trouble eating on their own.

When they talk about behavior changes, this is what they mean. When the mind succumbs to the disease, the person does kind of become someone else and violence is EXTREMELY possible.

My fam overall was pretty lucky in our experience. ... Even I broke down crying in church cos they sang one of her fave song. ._.

Like I said, Alzheimer's changes a person. Even if it WAS drugs that erroded his brain to this point, to still blame entirely is to not understand what our mind is capable of when we have so little of it left.

Even people who NEVER had problems with anger or violence & were the the sweetest person ya might ever meet could very well do this. I recommend researching Alzheimer's if you'd like documented proof.

I always knew wrestling was bad for you.
heh. By that argument every sport is bad for you. All of them destroy the body faster than average.

Except maybe golf. That's not very physical. XD
