You see, there are many things in the untamed heart of Terra...
:::she began telling the tale as she would to her loyal listeners. Luckily it was so practiced to her by then, that watching her 'Beloved' wouldn't distract her on autopilot.
Unfortunately for her though, she wouldn't get to finish telling him the story. Before she could get much further, she began to fade, back to her own time and place:::
*Exit Kara*

*Tavin frowned a little after Kara disappeared, then grabbed his book and headed towards the library*
Once again, time intervenes. Ah well, the story will just have to wait.

Luana stood and entered after Tavin and Kara were gone from the room. She had decided to follow Tavin, but before she could even take another breathe she faded out.
**Exit Luana**

*Alex faded in. He was pacing and his voice was deep and commanding, as if he were a closing statement to a jury. Which, of course, he was*
So you see, my fellow Americans, to state that GameStop is responsible for children being subjected to violence and sex in video games is ludicrous! Its like blaming the gas station attendant for the rising price of oil! As you can plainly see...
*Alex turned around to find his audience gone*
Or.. not...
*Alex sat down brusquely in the nearest chair, obviously a little annoyed*
Man, that's gonna be a tough tempo to get back to when I leave here...

:::Kara faded into the brink seated at a chair. She was leaned forward her elbow on the table, and her hand propping up her chin. She appeared to have been staring blankly at something, which was unlike her, and she suddenly snapped out of it when her focus was disturbed:::
:::She looked around, and naturally saw a very familiar neko sitting somewhere in front of her. She hesitated just a moment, trying to think of how to act around Tavin's son. But she made up her mind quickly, and smiled seductively:::
:::Kara walked up behind him folder her arms over his shoulders and onto his chest:::
Hey there, handsom...

Aw... :::She giggle mischieviously:::
I'm sorry babe, I was just so excited to see you again... it's been a while.
:::She kept the soft underside of her arms pressed gently to him, finding their way back into a comfortable spot after he had settled down from his scare:::

Kara.... I don't think I can see you anymore. I've met someone.

:::Her face changed suddenly as the words hit. Not to anger, or sadness, or really any negative reaction one might have expected from her. At first it was of surprise, but it quickly melted to a poker face.:::
Oh.
:::Her arms weaved in the opposite direction, from off him. He was still close enough though. Alex could probably feel how quickly her skin had gone from a little hot to suddenly frigid:::
Congratulations.
:::She knew this drill. All of her servants and lovers had done this at one point or another. So, she was very experienced in the matter, and she knew that her most powerful move was to appear as though she was unphased, and the lover was expendable. Not to mention that after a few weeks, they were normally back at her side anyway.
It was taking a little more willpower to seem unaffected about Alex saying so, though. He would have been useful, strategicly, to have under her finger. She reminded herself though, that this was not really rejection of her, but stupidity on the part of the rejector:::
But... it is customary for me to ask who the lucky lady is. Mmm? :::for this question she put on an expression of polite curiosity:::

Her name is Cora. I met her here actually, a while back. Before I met you. Thing didn't really... click between us though. But now.. Well, things are different.

:::But 'Cora' was not a name she expected to hear. It was the last name she expected to hear, in fact. And that it was a Cora from the Brink... made it that much more extreme a concept. Her face just went black. She didn't say another word:::

I'm sorry, Kara. But you know it was bound to happen.

Eh...-no. I mean... yes. Yeah, I know it happens... I just.
:::She stammered unintendedly. Cora...? Was all she could think, and she was taking a moment to actually say it:::
This... Cora. You say, you met her here? When is she from?

Well, she's from the future, I know that. Y'know... I never did ask her specifically. I guess it didn't much matter to me.

Heh... hehehe.... :::She looked away from Alex and started laughing unexpectedly. Not loudly, not harshly... just to herself:::
Ooooh... he's been keeping things from me...
:::But she snapped back to him suddenly:::
You see her here still? Often?
