"Fill me in on what's going on." Khalid said, taking a seat in the front as Atem sat next to Ember in the back. They closed the doors and the driver started off; as they drove, Atem told Khalid of what Yugi had told him, and what had happened at the hspital. Khalid turned around to glare at Atem. "You sold your soul for Ember? Why would you do that?" He demanded, scowling. Atem looked angry, and Khalid shook his head. "No. Whatever. It was your choice. But, listen, I'm not sure what you can do against Luci. I don't exactly know his powers."

"Demon. He's the one watching over Kira. He says he deals with memories and fears." Khalid said, struggling to remember what he had been told. "He went to the hospital to collect souls. I guess that's why he, as you said, killed Kawi." Khalid shrugged, turning to look out the front of the cab.

Atem's brow was furrowed; he had clearly been puzzling over this for a while. Khalid grinned at Atem's silence. "You have no idea, do you? Of course not. But he holds the deed to your soul Atem, so I doubt there's much you can do anyway. And Ember, you're probably too weak to do much. Me, I don't see a reason to fight. This is going to be quite interesting."

Atem looked a bit surprised. "You have a gun?" He might have known this before, but at the moment it just slipped his mind. Khalid directed the cabby to change his course.

"Okay." Atem said, and then was startled to find that they were already at their apartment. He had forgotten how close their apartment was to the mansion. "Well you'll have to go get it. I've never seen it."

"ok" Ember said hurrying out of the car and into the appartment. She threw on a pair of sweatpants and grabed the gun from her closet. Mking sure it was loaded she headed back out to the cab.

Atem and Khalid were bickering slightly when Ember got back out. Once she was in the cab, they quieted down and the cabby drove off.

As they rode ember checked over the gun making sure it was clean.

[God damn it... why'd you make me lose the game? Ugh.]
The taxi arrived at the said location in perhaps record time, with the cab driver shaking his head and muttering about 'you crazies.' Khalid paid him, since Atem hopped out almost immediately, afraid that they were perhaps too late. He ran inside the warehouse, unsure of what he would find within.
