"This is true, you don't let anything beat you. Even nature. Though don't expect to be using that potion on me again anytime soon." Yeah, no time soon...maybe again in oh...seven, ten years. But nowhere before then. He gave a chuckle. "I think our biggest problem is going to be Ramoth's jealousy. Then again, I think it's only for Serino." A little shrug. "Oh I'm sure I've had better...or will. Who knows." A little moment of quiet passed before she glanced at the house again and then to Zahara. "So, happy to be back or annoyedly so?"

Some days later, Alaran informed Roarke that she knew this territory, and could smell some of her old master's scents. She led him to the Acadamy. It was a place the First Mage had built to train and educate young wizards."
"It was diserted, as far as they could tell."
"Roaming the halls, they found the garden. But it was withered and almost dead. It would take Roarke years before he perfected the light spell to help them grow. But here he was able to find a wealth of seeds. Things he could nurture to be brought back to the surface."
"Humour? When have I ever had a sense of humour?" Well, actually she was just diverting from what she really felt, which was completley terrified. She remebered how uncomfortable she was the last he he...was around...when she bathed.
"I'm alright, okay? You're forgiven, whatever. Just be careful."

"Never have. Never will," she grinned then lightly stroked Sion's nose. "Ramoth is insanely jealous when it comes to Serino and if Eili help Serino if he showed interest in any other mares. As it stands though, she seems to be pretty open to Faete showing interest in Trissarem even though their ages are different." She shot a look to the nightmare one stall over. "I think she's a lot like Malik, her fire only burns when you seriously piss her off. Isn't that right girl?" Running her fingers lightly through Nightmare's mane. Zahara had been determined to make friends with the nightmare, especially since she was going to be working so closely with what she considered 'her' herd.

Jude piped up as well "and when did he decide to start taking students? and how was that rift breached between wizard and oracle?"

"She'd like a big herd, so she wouldn't have a problem with it, though she would have a problem if they tried to take it over or get at Serino." But she merely ran a hand down Sion's leg, the Winged Zephyr lifting it as she did so, so she could get a look at his hooves. "I really can't tell if these guys are walking on the ground or not from wear...almost like they kind of are and kind of aren't...I should probably shoe them anyway." Why did it matter? Well pure Zephyr's rarely were on the ground. Usually they only looked it, when in actuality they were a centimeter or two above. "Ever shoe a horse?"

A slight grin.
"And your not okay. I can smell the difference. But I'll let you alone, you can take your bath and I'll go..I don't know..annoy the constant party guests."
So that's what he did, though his tail while he was going the other way, still tried to pat or touch Aella, even swatting frustratedly when Onyx kept walking out of range. to teh general party area..which was almost imediately followed by a large crashing sound, and a 'come here you little runt!' while others were laughing.
Malik grinned lightly.
"sounds like fun. minus the enivitalbe runic feedback. something to challenge Zahara to sometime maybe. But the idea is to create an illusion of a large scale asault nad defense. something that will get people to talk about the power or seeming force that I have at my disposal. This to appear to have strength that others can know about, rather than just thier common attitude of myself being an isolated little fortress of little concern."
Though he tickled his son and let him play with his fingers.
"This will obviously garter some respect in the form that if I'm ignored, I may have the potential to simply take what I want."
Ramoth allowed the drow to pet her. No she didn't mind the likening between those in her herd. after all, wether Zahara liked it or not, her nightmare was also part of her herd. and more coming would still be under her hoof.
And if a female even breaths in teh wrong way at her chosen male, then they were going to get in trouble.

She was checking Nightmare over, making sure the mare hadn't caused any undue damage with one of her frequent rages. Silly girl, she let the strangest things ruffle her. "Yes but considering the fact that Trissarem is her daughter I thought she might have a little something to say about Faete's little crush. It's really rather cute in my opinion and they love to play together out in the pasture. I come down sometimes early to watch them, though that's fallen by the wayside since Zykariel's schedule changed." She was quiet for a moment and then lightly stroked Nightmare's nose, giving her a bit of sugar. "Guess I can watch again now." Then her attention snapped to, "No, can't say I have. Is that our first order of business?"

More squirming at being tickled, an attempt at some sort of noise before both hands grabbed hold of Malik's finger. Oh look, I got it! Blinking big silver eyes at his father, before pulling that finger to his mouth and sucking on it.=, because that's what we do right now, anything we can put in our mouth and suck on, we do. There ya go daddy, have some baby spit.
"It is not something that beginners or lower leveled mages should engage in at all. I've done it very few times since I've started myself. Once it had been required, one of Master Kytael's final tests, the others were merely low class games that were halted at the first sign of over stress feedback."
She crossed her arms and tilted her head, asking the same question she had asked Kieran earlier. "And what if everyone finds out that this is merely a farce?"
"Well, I'm sure Malik thought about that when he got that foal for you. Probably guessed that he would be assimilated into Ramoth's herd and she doesn't tolerate the weak. Thus you got your strong Faete there, who is suitable in Ramoth's eyes. Isn't he girl?" But she went quiet a moment, as Zahara mentioned how things changed yet again for her. Piper was past the point of trying to talk about things like that with her. "Yes it would be, better to get shoes on them. Though want to test to see who wind walks and who doesn't...after all, don't want to put Andalian levitation shoes on the ones that can."

Aella just sighed, hung her head for a moment. When onyx had left, she ran upstairs to fond a bath room. She felt dirty.
"No, the seed could not be blessed. Roarke still has that seed, altohugh now it is frozen by Alaran's body. You see the light he created was not the suns light, it was artificial, and he feared that something might happen to the seed."
"He cleaned up and fortified the school first, surprisingly the school had been emptied and did not play host to any beasts. It probably smelled to stropngly of magic for that. He started taking on students when he was only fifteen."
"The gap though, never closed until now."

"why is that?" asked Kaida curiously. Jude had absentmindedly but hus hand on her knee as she talked. "Did you two not like each other till recently?"
Ori was impressed, "Wow he was so younge! He must have learned his own majic at a really early age!"

"She did accept him rather easily, kind of surprised me though it shouldn't have because like you said, Malik had to have taken that into consideration. He's actually attuned to little details like that. I was just so overjoyed with the idea of getting a nightmare, I didn't much care about Ramoth's reaction. Of course now I'm rather happy she accepted him, gives him a herd to be a part of." She left Ramoth's stall and moved over to Piper, peering down at Sion's hooves. "Right. Because that would be utterly pointless since they most likely won't be on the ground very much at all. So how do we test them for this? Take them out and let them run then observe?"

"Pretty much...a few days of observation is the way to go about it. Just sit...and watch...and take notes. It's not horribly fascinating, but if you don't want to waste materials and time it's the best way to go about it. Whomever uses hooves more than the others need shoes. But like I said...a nice week or so of sheer obersavation. What do you think about that? Doesn't sound horribly dull does it? Of course they would need to be tested under rider situations as well."

Malik didn't mind his son sucking on his finger. and nodded lightly to Fianna.
"We won't. the idea is somethign grand. like say...a dragon..or something of similar impressive size and power. something that can be seen a great distance away, and engaged in a grand battle where it will fall."
Then a rub on his chin with his free hand.
"Or, what about these runic 'chess peices' being used to send rumors into the other places. no discript humans or the like that can spread the rumor of such a battle as 'eye witnesses'."
A small grin.
"But that is of course as to what we can and cannot feasibly due."
By now onyx had a few drinks, and was prone to singing, not that he could do it very well..adn the song of choice right now was 'Save a horse, ride a vah-shir'..and dancing rather ridiculously. But guest encouraged him, since you couldn't buy this kind of entertainment.

A tilt of her head. "I could give you a battle, I could fake an army and a foes such as a dragon. It is easy to manifest any shape with energies, though using them as rumor mills will not prove useful to you. They are little more than command following puppets, they don't think and they don't speak, at least no way near naturally. And the method to make them such if far too dangerous, unless that is you want to constantly siphon said rune mage and keep them at the brink of death for such a thing."
Yikes. A tad bit defensive Fianna? Apparently so. But she wasn't hostile about it now was she? No, merely concerned. Though a look at Malikhai sucking on Malik's finger. "Did you wash your hands after you finished doing whatever you were doing and came up here?"
