Sorry, I should have worded it better. I meant a new thread in the sense it's still the same topic but it's fresh and new and hey we should let newbies in with a strict Character and Posting Policy. Well the posting policy for everyone unless someone is notified about it. I think the new rp should be whatever new thing you guys are planning cause we have like what four people who post.

A few more than that, but I grasp your point. And I got what you were saying about a new thread, like what we did a year and a half ago (I think), when Dark retooled this guild to be the headquarters for everything. Anyway, I agree, but it should wait until after the The Game is done; that way any newbies wouldn't be left out and they would really get a lot of play time during Blackest Night/Brightest Day.

You guys, this isn't related to what we're talking about at all but I had a bad dream that I was Match and I kept trying to fly but I always crashed. gonk
And Krypto was there, and some other stuff happened, and there was an asian girl, and a blonde, and then Match got adopted....
Then he bumped into Lois, and Superman and Superboy and Supergirl and Powergirl were all there and then they ditched him....
Man, what the heck...? sad

I'm on the fence about newbs but you all can do what you feel is necessary.
Part of the reason this thread got to be as successful as it has been was because Dark wasn't letting newbs in left and right. We were a tight nit group of people he knew and trusted as posters, and very few newbs who turned out to be from his and Barbara's judgement, trustworthy.
If we change that policy, we have more of a chance of failing and dying than we do right where we are now. We're moving as slow as christmas but our tight knit group is loyal.
There are too many people out there who join in the fit of passion and then disappear JUST as quick. And now a days the only posts that gain popularlity are the ones that currently have a movie or a cartoon out.
I say we get as elite as possible. Whoever we chase away, will let us know they weren't the kind we wanted here period. Plus, we've seen how drama can get started once you bring in some noobs who want to swing their dicks around. I'm not naming any names but a year or so ago we had a newb who didn't last very long because of how disrespectful and aggressive they were in the OOC and how they wanted their Canon of choice to be all over them, despite the Canon's plot obligations.
There's nothing wrong with newbs, but there's a way to go about weeding out the ones we definitely don't want. It's not fool proof, but I sure as hell don't intend to go through all types of newbie bullshit when I don't have to.

I too was a newb but i came in the thread before this one but still i have gone long periods of tie without post...mostly cause i had to but I've always come back lol ^.^

I see what you're saying, but I think that part of the reason we're decaying is the fact that we're a tight-knit group of loyal people. There's no new-blood. It's the same problem that Christianity and Catholicism is crumbling from the inside out. There's no newness, everything is kept close to the core, and nothing changes. I'm not suggesting letting people in willy-nilly, but at the same time, we need to get new people in. Personally, I don't remember what you're talking about, with that n00b. Not only that, but there is a difference between n00bs and newbies. Newbies are willing to learn, to grow, etc. N00bs just want to troll and flame and be annoying. We're obviously not going to allow something like that in; but somebody who shows a genuine interest will be allowed in. I realise I made an error in judgement with one of the people I approved, I take responsibility for it; but I have learned from that mistake.

I agree Slagg-a-dagga-doo! I was just thinking how part of the reason we're dying is because we're too close knit. *Sigh*
I don't mind us having new blood, I'm just scared for the wierdos who might slip through the cracks...
Wait, what rper did you vouch for Slaggy? I was talking about someone else. I don't want to name them or bad mouth them because they were actually really kind to me the entire time they were here.

*slaps self* AHHHH >< okay... I swear I'm staying off Google + all day tomorrow so I can finish up this wrap up... I'll also send a message to Barbara since she's the only one of the two gm's that has returned my pm's.
If I can get her to make a few posts, I may be able to pick this up before I lose interest and I can't lose interest, because if I lose interest in this guild, gaia has no purpose for me.
On the topic of new members, keep me out, I hate newbs and I have no vision of possible potential, case in point there was a time when I hated the newbie who took up the mantel of Poison Ivy, but Haur proved how awesome she can be with the character.
