Dream, now that his magic was temporarily gone, was much more alert. If he got hurt now, then it would be a while before he could fix it, and then even longer for him to help the others. And if the others got hurt, he wouldn't be able to help them. So it was only natural he noticed both Liam's newfound happiness, Haucon's jelousy, and Leila's curiosity about a certan point in the distance. He figured someone must have been there, and it appeared as if whoever it was was no longer there. Either they had left, or they were now even closer. For that reason, he was constantly aware of everything that was going on, and ready for anything. Sure, he couldn't use magic at the moment, but he didn't rely on magic to stay alive. He could wield his saber as well as any swordsman.

Holly giggled and said to Dream, "Glad to see you're back with us."
She noticed all of the emotions running rampant through the group and kept her smile on her face. She hoped that nothing would get out of hand. And as for what Leila had been looking at, she was rather curious, but wouldn't leave the group.

A question was bubbling up inside Violet, she desperatly wanted to ask the group. They didn't seem to have noticed where she'd moved too, and it would have been a shame to just give it away so easily. Unfortunatly for her the question was too important. "Why?" she called softly, slowly rising to her feet but still leaning against the wall. "Why go through all that?" she asked again, real confusion showing though her grin.

Dream faced her as she appeared, as it was him who had done it and he knew exactly why. His expression was no longer the warm, friendly one he usually had. "I'll tell you why. Because I was born and raised to save others who deserved it. Now we have a new addition to our little group, and one less bit of darkness to worry about." He held his hand on the hilt of his Beam Saber. "If you mean harm, Violet, I suggest leaving."

Violet's child like exspression hardened again as she was threatened. "Fine you idiot. Like one little bit of darkness matters anyway!" she yelled, her green eyes glowing as she got angrier and angrier. She walked forwards towards Dream adn the others, but rather then fighting them she just strode straight past, acting like a spoilt child. She couldn't help feeling that she'd lost something important, but what it was she couldn't say.

Dream shook his head as she passed. "How can one so intelligent be so ignorant?" He did not turn as she past him, starting at the place where she had come from. He closed his eyes, thinking. Violet was evil on the outside, and then good on the inside. Then even farther down was more evil. She was complicated, and he had no idea if she was truly evil, or just had not been shown how to live yet.

Leila's eyes fixed on Violet as she came forward and walked passed, seemingly uncared for their welfare.
Something is causing her to be like this...the thing that was calling....?
An idea came into her head; it would probably have terrible consequences, but it would at least answer the one question that was on her mind.
"So, Miss High-and-Mighty Violet, why would a chaos demon succumb to the call of evil? Would it be safe to assume that you...surrendered yourself to whatever this higher power is?" She was playing on Violet's pride to see if something else really was the cause of her behaviour. "Has whatever it is promised you some measly reward for doing what it has asked you to do, like some obedient puppy?" Her brows furrowed as she swallowed hard, having some idea how Violet would react to her words.

Dream turned his head slightly, watching Violet carefully and gripping his saber tighter. If Violet tried anything, he would do everything in his power to stop it. He had to admit, though, that Leila had the right idea. Perhaps Violet would let something slip. Why hadn't he thought of that?

Haucon was dazed enough that he didn't have time to clap his hand over Leila's mouth before she said too much. What are you thinking Leila?! he said to himself, You're going to get yourself killed! He was remembering his own encounter with Violet, which had left him up a tree. He chewed on his lip and lip ring, worried.

Violet stopped and stiffened. She was trying to keep control that much was obvious, but she doubted her pride was going to let her. Slowly, she turned her head to look at Leila, the angle far more then any human could do. "Leila, are you a fool or just just pretending?" she asked softly, her wings shifting as she tried to control herself. Turning around fully to face her she treated the demon to her worst grin. "I would never surrender. All I'm doing is trying to get the best of a bad situation, if you were all as logical as me you'd be doing the same." Slowly, Violet raised her hand and waved it in Leila's direction. She began to push lightly on her mind, enough to hurt a little, just to remind her of what she could do.

Leila grimaced a bit, but didn't surrender to whatever Violet was trying to do to her; this pain was bearable, insufficient to cripple her. She quickly reached up and removed Haucon's hand from her mouth."If you would never surrender, why would you need someone else to help you be yourself? You didn't seem to mind being around us so much, so what changed?" A half-smirk appeared on her face, trying to push her buttons a bit more. "Logic? From a chaos-demon? That's the silliest statement I've heard from you since we met..."

As Leila insulted her intelligence she took of from the ground, diving down in a fast swoop to stop barely an inch fron her face. "Wake up moron! I continued to stay around you because it was the best offer at the time! This is me, i'd rather be alone and get my old life back, then be changed into something i'm not by you and your friends!" she wasn't quite yelling, but her voice was loud enough for the others to hear. Waving her hand again she increased the pressure on her mind. She'd really only attacked humans before, so she didn't know how strong it would be on a demon like Leila.

Dream was still in the process of restoring his magic, and could not aid Leila's mind as Violet attacked it. Without his power, he could only fight physically, and he didn't exactly want to. But if it came to that, he would do so.
He walked past Leila, stopping next to Violet. "If that is the case, then why try to torment us? The longer you stay around us, the more you get to know us, and that information would change you. If you truly do not wish to change, then leave us and get on with getting your own life back."

Violet took a step back from Dream, as if he had a disease she might catch. Slowly she shook her head. "I can't, that's the problem. If the world dosn't become the next Hell then i'll never get my old life back. Forgive me if i find going against you lot easier then going against the rest of heaven and hell," she replied coldly. The glow in her green eyes was fading slowly as she tried not to dwell on the amount of light Dream and the two angels could throw at her if they wished.

"Forgive you? You expect us to forgive you when you're being a selfish...p***k?!" Violet had taken a step back, but that didn't mean she was out of reach. If she was going to use her powers like this, Leila wasn't simply just going to give in to her. She showed no sign of any strain from the pain; compared to earlier, this seemed like nothing. "Crying over your parents is something you're not? Over the fact that you've lost them and will never see them again? You wanting to take over their seat seems like a selfish idea, but deep down, you're doing it because you know it would make them damn proud of you. So don't get into that crap about what you're not, because what you showed us yesterday IS you. Another part of you that you don't like to show because of what? Your reputation?" Her hair had started shifting with every word as her anger rose, twisting uneasily as if it was being held back from what it wanted.
