It finally hit Blank at what his father knew...and his head sunk alittle, his fingers brushing his brows. Christian grinned wider before turning back to the stove that hissed.
Casting a warm look at Aki, he smiled and nodded, "Sure!" He said before taking a seat across from her and letting out a loud yawn, drowning out the sound of his mothers typing fingers.

Aki pours Blank some tea, then returns the pot to the center of the table. She glances at his parents almost nervously, and bites her lower lip as she feels her cheeks continue to burn. She sits in silence drinking her tea, desperately trying to think of something to say.
"Sooo... the tea is good..." she says, mentally kicking herself for how stupid and obvious she sounded.

Christian let out a light chuckle at how Aki made an awkward moment even more awkward, "Mhm...Would you say...yesterday was as good as the tea?" The gruff man replied slowly, grinning as he did. He didn't turn around as he tended to what he was cooking.
Lilian sighed again, while Blank slammed his head lightly on the table at his father. His mother looked at Aki, mouthing the word 'sorry' before she continued to type away at her laptop.

Aki's face turns as red as her hair as she bites down hard on her bottom lip. She catches Lilian's mouthed apology, though she quickly avoids her gaze. She wasn't used to being around parents, and she didn't exactly know how to act in this situation. It seemed to be twice as awkward.
"Uhm.." she says in a slightly higher tone of voice, unable to actually think of something to say.
She quickly grabs her tea cup and takes a big sip, burning her tongue as she does so. She chokes on it for an instant, feeling her cheeks burning hot as she continues to make a fool of herself. She puts the cup down and folds her hands in her lap, giving Blank a quick, mortified glance.

Taking a sip of his tea, he watched as Aki choked on her tea, and couldn't help but give the slightest of of a snicker. Blank peered down into his cup a moment and took another sip. The silence lasted till Blank's father flicked the stove off and carried plate over to the table, "...You guys must be famished." He said with a grin, "Pancakes?" His hand set the large platter full of thick pancakes filled with berries before taking a seat beside his wife, giving her a wide smile while she only rolled her eyes and patted him lovingly on the hand.
Blank cast Aki a reassuring smile as he reached over with his fork and pulled a few slices onto his plate, dousing it with syrup and butter.

Aki's cheeks remain bright red after Christian's comment, especially after her stomach gives a loud growl in response. She sinks down into her seat slightly, but manages to smile back at Blank. She pulls a heap of pancakes onto her plate and pours syrup over them, then begins eating, thankful to have something to do other than embarrass herself further.
After a few moments, she takes a break and without looking up, she says, "The pancakes are really good..."

Christian smiled, "Thanks! It's about all I know how to cook." He said, seemingly forgotten about what he was teasing Aki and Blank about.
The Crimson Warrior ate his pancakes...abit slower than Aki. But that was mostly because his appetite wasn't as extreme as hers. He felt for her though...his oldman did have a habit of blowing things out of proportion...
Lilian felt the same also, looking at Blank's father with a bit of a smirk, but a scolding face aswell. He seemed to take the hint and drank from a glass on the table filled with orange juice, "So, you guys are leaving today?" He asked, looking between Aki and Blank.

Aki lets out a small sigh as she senses the subject change, and feels grateful for it. The blush in her face starts to disappear, though a small pink tint remains.
"Um.. I think so yeah. The SeeD exam is coming up soon and we need to prepare for it," she says with a frown.
She didn't want to leave, but unfortunately there wasn't much choice. She looks up at Blank with a small smile, then continues to devour her pancakes.

"Aww, we've enjoyed having you here, Blank doesn't stop by enough." Lilian said, eying her son with furrowed brows, much like him.
"Moooom...I have a job." Blank said, rolling his eyes slightly with a crooked grin before stuffing a large amount of pancakes into his mouth, "SeeD Exam, hm? I heard they can get pretty dangerous. Is it really safe for students to be going out on real missions?" Christian asked, dipping his fork into his food and chewing it down.

"I've really enjoyed being here! I honestly don't want to leave. I promise I'll make Blank visit more often," she says to Lilian, giving her a wink.
She finishes off her pancakes as Christian speaks, then sits back in her chair, eying the remaining pancakes on the table.
"They can be dangerous, but that's why we always have tests and exams ahead of time. We don't let students take the exam until we believe they are ready to. Plus the actual exams are usually pretty structured. There are always highly ranked SeeDs who shadow the students, just in case anything goes wrong, and we usually have quite a few faculty members, including many of our medical staff. Though accidents do happen, we've never had a fatal accident during an exam," Aki says, realizing that probably didn't sound all that encouraging.

Lilian smiled before returning a wink of her own and sipping her tea, "That's good. I remember back when I first went into the army, it was all theoretical and virtual training. My first real mission had been to kill a Admantoise that had found its way to the beaches." Christian said, looking back fondly at the memory, "That's where I got some of the material for Blank's gunblade." He said with a grin, admiring his handiwork without even having to see it, "Are you two usually involved in the missions too?" He asked, sipping away at his glass of orange juice.

"Not as often as I used to before I became an instructor and the headmistress, but I still get out every once in a while. Usually we get assigned to the tougher missions because we're two of the highest ranked SeeDs in Garden," Aki says, as she reaches out and grabs a couple more pancakes.

"Ohhhh...Highest SeeDs in Garden, eh?" The smallest glint could be seen in Blank's father's eye along with the slight grin...though this was unbeknown to Blank who stuff more pancakes into his mouth, looking up only to grin at his staring father, "Mom-nof-ugh-oof-em." He said with a mouthful of food, looking between Aki and his folks.

Aki raises her eyebrow at Blank, not able to make out what he said. She pointedly finishes chewing then gives him a small grin as she says, "Well, we aren't the only ones, but yeah. We do pretty well."
She winks at Blank, then finishes off her seconds before sitting back in her chair, trying to decide if she wanted more.
((I really really want pancakes now.. lol))

Chewing down his food quickly, he was about to respond when Aki took his answer, smiling before taking a sip of his tea and leaning back, satisfied, "That's great guys! We're both very proud of you." Lilian said, smiling at them both.
Christian looked over his empty plate and the few pancakes that were left, "Do you want the rest?" He asked Aki, a wide grin on his face.
