I have a question then: do you see me as a rper you like or do is it only through the characters I play? I want to solve this thing of why people hate Chen but like me when I'm on this account. It's seems like some weird psychological thing to me. I'm the same guy, regardless.

Because this has been discussed before.

When you're roleplaying Chen, you become a whole different person. You become a jerk, cocky, and a powerplayer and just not very fun to roleplay with.

Under your Yusuke (which I assume is your main) you're yourself, you're friendly, and much easier to talk to and IC wise you're far more fun to interact with even though I myself have never had the chance to meet you IC other than Chen in Unity.

o.o I barely know you but I already couldn't stand Chen after Unity. I hated him, and that's such a shame because I don't like to be biased or be mean to people based on their characters alone. But you are so oblivous or refuse to believe this but we wouldn't lie to you. :

So you got two options: Drop Chen, or seriously revise him. But thats my opinion and not everyone's.

EDIT: Think about this Yusuke, someone who barely even knows you is telling you this. Clearly there's a problem.

@Sins: Isn't that what rping is? The mood of your rp style has to compare to the mood of your character. My character is a calm and collected cop who shows seriousness at times to his job. If I'm going to convince people of that, I have to show it through rping. I don't powerplay, contrary to popular belief. It seems it's easier to call people on those things when they show dislike to them. When I play Yusuke, the style of my rping changes, yes, to show he's a more fun type of guy. But no matter what, I'm the same person, and there are people who have gotten on me for my rping as a rper. That is why I just flip the bird in their directions.

Right now, I am Chen. I am still the fun loving Yusuke everyone knows. But lately, I think that's the only facade I am known under.

@Cog: Yusuke is Yusuke is because that's what his creator had made him as. He's balanced, yes, in that he can do what he does: fighting with his fists and spiritual energy. But with Athena, that's how she developed her character. People go by different standards for their characters. From what I know, her and Sieg go around fighting people all around Gaia. To them, their stuff is minor to what's really out there. So, their standard of rping is higher than others. That's why I won't comment on it.

Apparently expecting someone to at least be hurt by 3 full bat swings to the head is too much.

I guess if you shoot someone in the face and they go berserk mode, it is okay.

Only something stronger than a sniper rifle bullet through the skull constitutes someone actually getting hurt.

As far as what kills them.. hell I don't know. Nukes? But that might not even be enough.

I have one issue. And I only discuss the issue when someone attempts to criticize me for how I responded to the issue.

No honey, you don't get it. You're IC personality changes and that's totally expected. It's roleplaying. But you change OOC as well, you argue more, you refuse to back down in said arguments and don't want to believe you're not playing fair.

Yes. You are a powerplayer. No it's not due to "contrary belief". You may not always do it, but a lot of the time you do and when someone wants to call you on something you refuse to believe you're wrong.

xP I've seen it plenty of times. Unity was just ridiculous, and the best example I can think of it. You may think you were having fun but we weren't...

So many people are telling you this. How could so many people be biased, or be totally off. You're pretty much the only one who doesn't see it and yet you're still saying "No no. Trust me. I'm totally fine." When you're clearly not.

Shouldn't that tell you something? That so many people have an issue with your character?

It sure as ever would tell me something. I'd be rather concerned so many people disliked me/character and want to find ways to change that.
