>>If he had heard her thoughts, he would have laughed out right. It felt to him as though he had been in a coma for the past 24 hours, forced to watch a movie of himself as another character. And she thought he didn't miss holding her? He barely had time however to grab the stick and straighten again before having her arms around his neck. The sun was almost nil now...and cala looked stunning in the firelight. He smiled, a real smile, as he felt the tingle of her lips even after she pulled away. He had been put out before by her refusal, but he was not to dull of a man to miss a second chance out of stubborness. More then happy to take normal cala then no cala at all<< Be good and eat...and we'll see. >>He pulled a piece of fish meat from the carcass, and gently let the edge of it touch her lips<<

The bengal pouted before accepting the food but not without kissing each of his fingertips. She ate the bit he offered her before she leaned up to nuzzle under his chin. "Jyn I've missed you so much. I've been waiting all this time for you to come back to me. I don't even know if I'll have you in the morning or a new side of you. Please?" Violet eyes looked up at him with a pleading nature. Cala was beginning to wonder if he just liked to see her beg. After all, she had no idea why he would say no to her for any other reason unless he wasn't attracted to her. A hint of doubt crept into her mind, causing her arms to slide away from his neck. Maybe that was it. "Jyn?" The only way to find out for certain was to ask. Her hand reached up and pulled free her hair. It flew down in a wave of red down her back. "Am I pretty to you?" She couldn't look at him when she asked that question, violet eyes staring at the fire. It was a rare glimpse of an old scar left on her from a previous anthro.

>>As soon as she finished her meat, he began to pull off the next piece, but froze as her head appeared under his chin. The male softly sighed in exasteration...but still smiled almost...sweetly. He bent over to the side, and re-stuck the stick<< I missed you too Cala. >>And at his name, a frown creased his forhead a moment before her flaming hair cascaded down like a wave of fire<< eek You're joking right? >>He reached up slowly to catch her chin again, moving her head so she'd look at him<< You're not pretty Cala. Never were to me. >>The male spoke so gently, his thumb stroking her cheek<< Its not a fitting word. I'm certain I'll never find any word to describe how beautiful you are...and I have seen a lot of 'pretty' things out in the forest.

That first sentence caused her to sigh and shake her head no. She was far from kidding. The line after that made her flinch, even though he held her chin forcing her to look at him as she did so. Violet eyes looked at him sadly. She did not speak of her worries but it was obvious she was still concerned. Her hand reached up to Jyn and brushed through his hair. "I just want to be good enough for you, and there are times when I wonder if I am. If I really deserve someone as wonderful as you. You are so handsome and clever. You are loving and caring in ways that I don't understand. You are perfect to me Jyn and this is why I wonder if I am good enough." A smile was on her lips but with her eyes, she looked so sincere.

Perfect? >>So much for no longer being sappy this night. He sighed softly, shaking his head<< You're leaving out selfish, cold, distrusting, crude and discivilized. I'm not even halfway to perfection. >>His thumb moved under her bottom lip, gently tracing its outline<< My most selfish deed yet, is keeping you here with me. But you're just too damn perfect to pass up. >>Something her mother never understood. Nor any of the other anthros she had tussled with beneathe the sheets<< At the very least, you're 3/4ths of the way to perfection.

Calanthia leaned back to kiss that thumb. "You are perfect to me, Jyn. And you are not selfish. I stay out here with you not just because of what you want." Her arms came back around the genet to hug him tightly. "I stay because I want to be here with you. Even if I'm not that good outdoors." She slightly giggled at that fact. Her violet eyes shifted up at him. How did he manage it? Just his presence alone could chase away her scars. "I am not perfect either. How many injuries have you gotten because of me now?" She smiled and kissed his neck. "And you've always forgiven me. You are not crude, cold or uncivilized."

Tell that to your sister. 'You have traps?!' >>He mimicked. Dispite himself, he found that amusing. So niave. The man wondered if she could survive a month better then cala could. Before she met him<< Wait. How many injuries DID I get because of you? >>His brow furrowed again in thought<< You're going to kill me before I reach 30 if this keeps. Is it too late to have you returned? >>Before she could respond however, he had claimed her lips. Passionately, to banish any thoughts that it had been anything but a tease<<

Cala giggled at his mocking of her sister. "Despite how silly that question seems, she actually is better outside then she is indoors. She was the one who inspired me to travel." She smiled at Jyn. 'If only Jyn spoke with Cassi, maybe he would understand her better too. Like that would ever happen.' Cala mused this to herself. Hearing his question, her ears fell back. "Um well.." she was stumbling trying to think of a good thing to tell him. However, that was quickly ignored as she was kissed with the passion she missed so. She was quick to return it with nothing but sheer love , and sincerity. Her arms held to him tightly as she would not let him get away this time. The bengal, in truth, was grateful she didn't have to explain herself about all those injuries. She had no excuses for why he got hurt so often around her.

>>He'd believe that when deer meat made itself into jerky. But he didn't think about that. He didn't want to think about Cassi. Only Cala. Only her. He started to pull away to break the kiss, only to find that he was quite firmly latched onto. He couldn't help but smile before deepening the kiss, his own arms coming around her now. The fish could burn, the traps remained undone, and cassi could come and watch, but he had a bengal, and wasn't planning on letting go now, either<<

Cala gripped the back of his shirt, eyes closed and even then, tears rolled free and down her cheek. How she missed him. This was all she had wished for, and prayed for every night. The bengal female moved with Jyn at his pace, returning back his love with her own. She was trying to not be too eager. She was so happy to finally have him back, she could not hold back her purr which was only made louder from him understanding that all she wanted was for him to be near. She released his shirt to slip her gloves off from behind his back. She didn't care if they dropped on top of the fish or into a nasty pile of moss. Her bare hands now moved around to the front where the shirt was open to slip passed that clothing he wore. Her fingertips glided over his sides, moving to caress over his bare back. She only prayed that such a touch would not chase him away.

>>Trying not to be too eager, but oh how he could feel her desire through her hands. Bare hands. Her purr with those caressing hands tempted the use of his own rare vibrant sound. But not yet. His muscles shifting beneath her fingers as his own arms moved to hold her in a more passionate embrace. One hand on the back of her neck, the other on the small of her back. He wasn't lying when he called her the most breathtaking thing in the forest, he couldn't help himself now. Using his body he gently pushed her down to have her back against the tree log, never letting their lips seperate. A man had needs<<

((I hope you don't mind but I'm having this as a last post for cala since this is a pg-13 format XD and I'm just blacking out from that point))
Cala was only more then happy to allow him to move her. He could toss her into a trash can and she would allow it. Not be happy about it but allow it. Her purr only grew as she pulled him to come with her. Her hands now raked up and down his back, dragging her claws along. Not enough to pierce the skin but to scratch for certain. She was determined that her purr would not be the only one to ring through the night. Not if she had anything to say about it.
((And I must respond in the morning time @_@ Night!))

>>The hand on her back shifted to run up and down her side, teasing at the skirt of her garb with a featherlight touch. He would not make this quick...<<
~~~black out!~~~
>>Jyn laid in the grass beside the log as he stared up at the night sky. His bare chest still gleamed with sweat in the night air, the fire long having burnt itself out. The man looked to the side of his beloved, an arm under her head as a pillow to keep her close. That, had been nothing short of amazing<<
Cala shined in the starlight, glowing and catching her own breath. She nuzzled his arm before staring at him lovingly. Her violet eyes had long ago adjusted to the darkness and she took in the sight of the man she loved. In those purple hues, he was so handsome and she couldn't help but to lean over and kiss his lips as if afraid it might be all a dream and she would wake up. That would have been one hell of a dream though. She pulled away to whisper, "I l... lo... love..." She was already getting better though her body trembled as she tried to say it. Instead she just nuzzled his chest rather then finishing her sentence.
Tartara >>The princess gasped as suddenly she was in the air, her hands lighting upon his shoulders in support. The female managed to smile through the tears, her eyes becoming bright for the first time in a good while. How many hours had it been since she last touched the male? It seemed like days. At the very least. Gently her feet touched the ground and she properly wrapped her arms around his neck, nuzzling her cheek into his shoulder gently<< My deepest apologise...is there any way I could make it up? >>He nodded to the merge, though of course they couldn't see as he got resituated<< Anything for Maryline. >>That poor princess...even things patched up with Zell, still nothing had changed for her. She was still royalty. He closed his eyes, giving the couple further privacy. Zell had better not screw things up this time<< Oh good. Maryline did not get on him for being so loud he coudl have brought the entire castle guards down upon them. For a moment he wondered how he could not have... before it dawned on the SeeD how Bill must have taken care of it just as they had planned for other aspects of the plan -a plan that was altering as it went now. At least from what Zell could tell. But then... they had not expected the king to offer Maryline marriage to his son. At least... he had not. Holding her close Zell closed his eyes as he felt Maryline's arms and nuzzle, lightly leaning his cheek upon golden hair. One hand gently moved up her back -being careful of her wings- to gently cradle her head and stroke the golden waves. Too short. No matter it would grow. "Just... try not to scare me like that ever again?"
His tenor voice trembled with emotion. His fear at her leaving, at her nearly killing herself, at thinking he never would see her again... and worst of all -those even brief moments where he had feared she did not want him any more. All were there in his voice. His lips brushed her hair, then her cheek as Zell gently brought his hand along the line of Maryline's jaw to lift it up so his lips could then gently brush hers.The merge hearing a little more than was 'told' them attempted to not be so close to thoughts as it pondered the waterdragon's thoughts. Perhaps they had misjudged, and the princess really wished to no longer be a princess. Sadness washed over them if that was the case. Sadness... and double guilt. *... it is not Zell alone that brought us to this point. We must take some of the responsibility as well* Within the thought, how they could have stopped Seifer from relaying their presence in the throne room but having trusted that there was a plan perhaps better than waiting merely for a physical danger. *...there are so many variables... and without overriding our protocols...* Shame, that they were not more effective, that they with their combined might even with the focus mind not working at full potential could have done more or better but instead fell short. And underlying that... tiredness. A faint tiredness stemmed from the sense of failure. An uncertainty that could unravel or encage.
