Alutian came down the stairs at a run, clutching a peice of parchment in her hand. She jumped up onto a chair and held her hands up for attention.
"Listen up, everyone! I just got a short message from our Headmaster - the Great Hall is ready for us. All Houses are to be down there by nightfall; we only have a little while. Stick together, and by me, until we're there; I've just found out that those creatures we've been seeing out on the grounds have entered Hogwarts. They could be dangerous.
"Grab a pillow and a blanket if you want. Food should be provided. Leave your wands here; they're useless right now. Oh, and if you want to grab yourself a weapon from one of the suits of armor as we go in the halls for self-defence, be my guest. Just don't treat weapons like toys, and don't swing them anywhere near fellow students. Safety first.
"Got all that? Good. Let's go."
Alutian jumped down from the chair, stuffed the parchment into a pocket, and unsheathed two short swords from their straps across her back. She moved over to the broken window, stepped through, and waited for the Ravenclaws to follow.

Mikki dragged herself to her midnight blue poofy chair and ploofed herself into its great depths. She sighed, and mumbled, "It's good to be back," before falling suddenly to sleep.

Hey, I'd like to thank everyone for paying attention to the Rules and not posting in here for the duration of our Blackout Event. I know that there were some people elsewhere in the school who had a little trouble with that, and I am very, very glad that none of you had such a problem.
Great Job!
Oh, speaking of which: the totals for the House Cup aren't completely in yet, but it seems that we have a very good chance of winning this term. I can't say anything concrete as of yet (Gryffindors were also active this term), but I can say that, whether we win it or manage to miss it by a few points, I'm very proud that you all managed to get the point totals so high.

Miranda walks into the Common Room and drops herself infront of the fireplace. She quietly says to herself "I like it here better..." Miranda puts her head on the arm rest on the chair and slowly falls asleep.

Mikki paces across the common room, unable to hold in her anxiety. "When will they start accepting applications? The suspense is killing me!!" Instead of pacing now, she walked around the perimeter of the room. "UGH!"

Miranda lazily opens her left eye and looks at Mikki. "Just be patient and they'll accept them..." She yawns and shuts her left eye not falling asleep.

Mikki took a deep breath. "You're right, Miranda," she said. But she didn't sit down. She was still way too wired to do do that. She took a couple more deep breaths and forced herself into her chair. After about 30 seconds she shot back up and ran to get her book, Eragon. Maybe this'll relax me, she thought.

Miranda felt her body begin to shut down. Before she let herself fall asleep she told Mikki "If you need me or want to talk just wake me up, Ok?" Miranda emties her mind and falls asleep.

Mikki 'mhms' to let Miranda know she heard her. As soon as she found a good place to stop, she got up and went to her bed. She fell into it and pulled the dark blue curtains around her. She quickly changed and balled herself up under the dark blanket and tried to sleep, but couldn't. She was still nervous. She took out her wand and mumbled, "Lumos," under her breath. She stared up into the canopy.

Miranda wakes up, remembering the Hogwarts Express. She looks around for Mikki and doesn't see her. Miranda thinks to herself I hope I'm not the only who'll be staying during break... She slowly falls back asleep exhausted.

[[I'm in NZ now, so I have internet again, even though I don't have time to get on much. I missed the end of the blackout. Noooo. Oh well. I'll get over it eventually. I'm going to catch up on what happened at the end of the blackout, which means I have quite a bit of reading to do. Fun.]]

Lyra enters the common room and sees Miranda asleep. I wonder where everyone else is. She slowly climbs the stairs to the dormitory and then sees Mikki staring up at, apparently, nothing in particular. "Hi Mikki." Lyra says in a whisper. She goes over to her bed and lies down, trying to get a bit of rest.

Zeni walks into the common room and looks around at everyone, who are sleeping. " Um.....yea.....I think i'll just.....Go sit down..."
She goes and sits down on the floor (floors are comfy =D) and stares at the celling.

Shieka walks up to the portal into the commonroom excitedly. After answering the riddle. she skips into the sommonroom humming to herself. She looks around the room and sits in front of the fire place, sit humming.

Miranda hears a new voice and wakes up. She sees Zeni and jumps; excited. She begins to scream with joy. "THE FIRSTIES ARE HERE! THE FIRSTIES ARE HERE!" Miranda runs over to Zeni and glomps her. "Welcome to Ravenclaw!"
