Storm snorted.
"Sitting under a tree and not eating for forty days would make anyone think they were a god. Or a unicorn. Or whatever the hell they wanted to be."
"Part of her is dying, Kibo. Be nice. I'm sure you would be screaming with pain if half of what is essentially yours died."

Kibo: Hey, I offered assistance, and was declined. If she can't handle the pain quietly, she should take the help when it's offered to her.

Storm shrugged.
"Mayhaps she thought she could handle it, but it turns out, it was too much?"

Kibo: The bite stick's still on the table. She can take it any time she wants.

"You will still hear her screams of pain. She just won't be in danger of chocking on her tounge."

Kibo: The bite stick's a sign. If she want to take it, she will, and then I'll give her this.
He pulls out a syringe from his pack, capped and filled with a clear liquid.
Kibo: Fresh from the Orient.

"I am being quiet. I'm not screaming, I am preventing myself from screaming. What may help other people numb pain will just make the pain even more intense for me. Narcissa wants me to feel her pain as she dies and no amount of drugs or alcohol is going to change that."

Storm rolled her eyes.
"Child, this is Kibo, remember? He doesn't think like that. He figures if you reject what essentially becomes a pain amplifier, you are woe begoning him."

Kibo: Actually, this is a type of poison. It's usually found on the tips of arrows. It doesn't kill, just causes extreme, debilitating pain. I figured if numbing solutions enhance pain, then enhancing solutions will numb it.

Kibo opens his mouth, but Anita's voice comes out.
Kibo/Anita: Oh, don't worry about it, huh? I'll get it done before you even realize what's happening, huh?

"I don't need anything. I can handle it myself."
Directly after saying this she loses consciousness, the pain immediately stopping.
She looks around, noticing that she's no longer in the Tavern but sat on an island.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Said a voice that Natasha immediately recognised.
"Narcissa? But...you're dying?"
"Almost gone, to be exact. You didn't think I'd go without saying goodbye to the most talented mancer I've ever had the pleasure of guiding, did you?"
Natasha smiled.
"I suppose not. Where are we?"
"Inside your mind...but that's not important. Most people died when I began to give them the power that was locked up inside them...you were different, special. You took the power, embraced it, controlled it. You're even more skilled than I was when I first recieved my power and for that, I'm happy that you were chosen. Goodbye, my child."
Natasha's snapped open.
"She's...she's gone."

Kibo: Well, I guess I can put these back, then.
He takes the bite stick, bone saw, and needle, and puts them back in his pack. A few seconds after he reaches into his pack, he draws his hand out quickly, looking at his finger, a slight p***k of blood on the tip.
Kibo: Oh damn, tranquilizers... Woooo...
His pupils dilate, and his head starts bobbing, as if it's about to hit the table at any moment.
