buddha- The army was originally created in the old guild but was never really extended or put to proper use (or even named for that matter). When we moved, Kairi officially established what we know today as the SasuSaku army. I do believe it was the first of this kind. Actually, it wasn't until recently that I found out of the other armies out there. Sireta- Wonderfully put. I have seen occasions where some people think our guild is jumping the gun with the whole army thing, but it's here for the reasons you stated. Honestly, the purpose of this is not to go attacking other pairings/fandoms and undermining their degree of "OTP-canon." rolleyes It's to defend us and our belief in SasuSaku. I mean when you have people telling us to "go die because SasuSaku will never happen" or that "SasuSaku was never canon and never will be," we certainly have a right to retaliate reply. SiretaInDisguise I didn't know there were other armies, but I'm pretty sure SasuSaku started it--- I think an army is fine for a pairing that has POSSIBILITY, but not for crack pairings (like NejiSaku... if you're trying to say they will so get together, and not trying to cinvince them that you just love the crackiness). I'm usually not one to butt into anyone's business, but I would have to agree. I'm sorry, but NejiSaku army? What are you going to go about defending? That it's crack?

I don't see the need for NejiSaku army either...I mean, ShikaIno and NaruHina, fine, but crack?o.O.
Although, it would be a laugh to see them try to say it has a good chance of becoming canon.

-sighs- Neji x Sakura army. Defending one of the most Crackiest pairings that I have actually seen. One of them. Ive seen some pretty crack pairs. Lol. But to be completly honest, Id hope that they'd tell people about how they got their start, and Idea for an army. Kind of like, give credit where its disearved. Oh well.
On a side note. I just need everyone's thoughts on this:
How bout I discovered the ANTI Narutards Guild. And seeing that I own -Narutards Anonymous-. Maybe Im just over reacting, but Im a bit on the erked side. I mean, I really really need some input on this one.

I mean, I really really need some input on this one. Well, from what I've read from the description, it doesn't seem like the guild was created in opposition to yours'. Anti-Narutards Guild Ever get tired of people insulting Naruto? Ever get tired of people over-obsessing and becoming in actual love with a character? Well we have! This guild is to show that we don't appreciate the haters or the overly obsessed fangirls of Naruto. It is a well known anime and sometimes for those who don't know it they have to critisize it. So join for the sake of our beloved anime, join to protect it from haters and fangirls, join to help out other narutards! I mean, there's now an Anti-Sakura Guild (yeah, surprise -_-), but I don't think it was created in opposition to the Sakura thread/guild. I guess there are people who just don't like overt-tardism or Sakura. As long as they don't point fingers at you or anti-fans point fingers at us Sakura fans, everything should be fine.

I try not to let it get to me. I mean Im not going to go pick at them. They at least point out that there are others. But anti-guilds are kind of harsh. I mean, If you dont like something its your deal.
Kind of the saying "If you dont have anything nice to say...Then dont say it at all."
I think I only take offense to it because I made the guild for people that get critism for the people that mock them and such.
But at least it talks about the overly hatefull people. Its just a pet peeve. Just like the Anti-Sasuke Guild [That didnt stay active for very long]

I'm glad you agree, i m o g e n. To a point, SasuSaku is probably one of the few pairings that has no choice but to ENFORCE themselves with an army. Most of the arguments aren't just character-hating: they can, and more often than not, are fan hating too. And that's just stupid.

I can see why people would hate Sasuke and Sakura... I got most of my love for Sasuke from the hate my freinds gave him. :/ They really dislike him. I understand though. And don't GET me on this online friend I had on Furcadia. Her and my sis were bad mouthing about sasuke and I was laying in my bed crying knowing I couldn't do anything to change their minds. That's a true story.
That's why I'm determined to become one of the best Sasuke Defenders. biggrin

And not for any of the typical reasons. I could actually defend why I hated him. But after I was having a coversation with an anti Sasuke-er, I found myself defending him. After a while, I realized that I did like him. In fact, one of my favorite characters. He is so complex and has such a deep personality. I mean, wow.
Thats why I do my best to defend him when I can. Sometimes I think I do a good job. Lol.

I used to be shallow about him and his smexy looks, but as I learned from Anti-Sasukers like my former online friend that he left that village I was. Ashamed to say the least that I didn't know. So I started reading the manga at the store and getting info from others. You see, she was actually HELPING me be un-shallow and to look into his complex persona. biggrin I actually hated Sasuke for leaving Sakura on that bench when he left, even after he heard her desperate call that she loved him. It made me so sad. The thing is about some people, they'll like Sakura but not Sasuke. Or they'll like Sasuke, but not Sakura. Same with my former online friend. She liked Sakura, but hated Sasuke.

I guess because of all the hate people were giving him, it kinda rubbed off on me. But after I started liking the idea of SasuSaku, I kinda warmed up to him a bit. And after I joined the guild, I started to like his personality even more, to the point he became one of my favorite characters.
I also used to hate Sakura, for the same reason I hated Sasuke. All I ever came across were Sakura-hate boards. I also used to read up on why everyone hated her (not the illiterate people, mind you. I never counted their opinions), and they way they portrayed Sakura, it made me hate her.
I guess, to sum it all up, that SasuSaku being my OTP has definately helped me start liking the characters more. 3nodding

i m o g e n I mean, there's now an Anti-Sakura Guild (yeah, surprise -_-), but I don't think it was created in opposition to the Sakura thread/guild. I guess there are people who just don't like overt-tardism or Sakura. As long as they don't point fingers at you or anti-fans point fingers at us Sakura fans, everything should be fine. I still think it'll be filled up with tard-ish hardcore fangirls who hate Sakura with a passion that they can't ever learn how to criticize intelligently. What the hell would they talk about in the Anti-Sakura Guild, or any ANTI Guild, for that matter? I can only imagine how their main forums look like:
Sticky: Why you hate Sakura? Reply 1: Because she has pink hair. Reply 2: Because she SUX!1!11!!!shiftone Reply 3: Because she is weaaaak. Reply 4: Because she is a slut and doesn't deserve Sasuke/Naruto/Lee/Neji/randommalecharacter.
Thread: How much do you hate Sakura? Reply 1: I hate her so much I will kunai her to death! Reply 2: 1000% hate.
Poll: Do you hate Sakura? ** Yes. ** Double YES! ** No. (Poll Master: YOU SUCK!)
...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but at least 75% of Sakura haters tend to be n00bish, immature, and needing surgery grammatically.
Other than that, I think discussing the faults of a character/pairing in something like a guild is hugely unnecessary and pointless. It only serves to breed hatred among fans. There's so much to talk about when you love something, but it's basically a single-minded thing if you try broadening the subject of hate. (Did that make sense?)
...
As for Sasuke, I used to be such a fan girl over him, but when I learned more about him, I started to even out and be critical of some parts of him. I doubt he will ever be in my top 5 favorite Naruto characters, but I can't stand it if people bash him.

JOINING CONVO NOW. =D *bricked*
As for the Anti-Sakura guild...eh, I'm not one to say that you aren't allowed to express your dislike for something, and I think that it's nice that that the Sakura-haters can find peace in their own guild.
BUT I personally think the entire idea of having a fandom made purely of negativity is no good. If this were last year, I'd be the first in line to join that guild...but you know, I find that where negativity is, negativity grows. First you hear this bad thing about Sakura, then that, and that, and before long, all of the bad things about her overshadow all of the good things.
If people would be a little more optimistic about characters, they'd learn that every character had good points as well as bad. That doesn't mean that every Anti will turn Pro. [Example: I don't like Orochimaru and Hidan, and I probably never will. That doesn't mean that I can't see that Orochimaru is smart and strong, and that Hidan has a tough wit.]
And like Tenshi said, the guild will probably be infested with n00bs or narrow-minded jerks before you know it. And being in places like that just bites.
Just let them do their own thing, and hopefully they'll learn.
