As his opponent would try to read Eldin's mind the being might be surprised to find... nothing. No thoughts to scan, no traces of psionic energy to detect. This was in clear contrast to the vast amount of thoughts racing through the Channeller's mind across multiple channels, but that was the whole problem. It was a Channeller's mind. When the Creator had designed them their bodies were as weak as any human's and yet they were meant to be warriors against vast supernatural forces. Their minds were their weapons, built to be powerful but also to last. There were many forces that attacked the minds of other beings. Psionics being one such example. These techniques to pry into or control the brain functions of others were of no concern to a Channeller. Simply put, it was biologically impossible to do so. Their thought processes worked on another system. Their entire brain was designed from the ground up to be like no other's. It was not a matter of Cziri not being powerful enough to get past his mental defences or Eldin having a stronger will. The simple fact was, what Cziri was looking for with his abilities wasn't there. Eldin Desura had something else. A mind unique to his people. All Cziri would detect was the basic signals that Eldin's brain was functioning. The secrets to the level it functioned on wasn't something that other beings could so easily detect.
((Yeah, you did a lot before I could tell you about Eldin's immunity to mind-reading. If you want to change your character's actions at all based on the fact that he couldn't detect Eldin's channels, and they probably will, then you can do so. You started your last post with scanning and detecting what was going on in his head, after all. There's probably something he'd do differently since he can't.))
