'You might belong in Gryffindor, Where dwell the brave at heart, Their daring, nerve, and chivalry Set Gryffindors apart;' Ginelle Ginny Alaine DeLuccia . Thinking . . Speaking . . Action .
|| @Nerevar: That happened on sheer luck. She did think of a powerful memory, and if you noticed, it only came for a mere second because she couldn't keep her mind concentrated on it. It won't happen again, because she won't concentrate on that memory, probably ever again. It makes her too happy and sad all at once. The memory is a very powerful one, because it's the only one she can really remember her father about. She lost him when she was two. But, she won't be able to get it again for a while. Don't worry.||
Ginny took a seat on the ground, realizing that she was having a really hard time with this. It was either think of a powerful memory, or think of something not as powerful, and hope she could get it. She started to think about her mother and how happy she made her. Then she stood up once again. Concentrating on her mother was easy for her. She loved her mother a lot. "Expecto Patronum!" she said with a powerful ring in her voice. This time, only wisps came out, but they were rather large. She smiled as she concentrated on the memory, but the wisps disappeared. She sighed, and thought about her mother taking her to her first dance recital, and how proud she seemed to be. "Expecto Patronum!" Again, she got wisps. She didn't smile this time, because she was really concentrating on the memory. The wisps got stronger again, and this time, they didn't die. But, it was very straining on her to keep them for that long. She let it go, and she took some deep breaths. How in the world was she going to get this again?

Amelia looked at her friend woefully. She'd quickly past the point of frustration and went straight to despair. She'd never been this horrible at anything. And now she knew she was noticeably horrible. Still, at least it was Meiko and not the teacher. Meiko was her friend. There wasn't any mockery in her. Nodding with a sigh she murmured, "There's all this happiness around me. And I feel it. But I can't seem to focus." She didn't think that what she was saying might not make sense. Especially to one who did not know of her empathic abilities. All she knew right now was that she was telling the truth, as much as she understood it.

Ginelle, again, kept trying to get the Patronus to come out again. But, it just wasn't working. What did she think of before? Now she couldn't remember. It was as if someone put their hand in her head and mixed up her memories to help her out. Now, she was concentrating on many different happy things, all of which were very obviously not good enough. Her mother, her family, learning she was a witch, and so much more. Ginelle came to the conclusion that she just wasn't made to produce that full Corporal Patronus more than once.
But, she didn't feel to bad to be honest. She wasn't the only student that couldn't do it, and that made her feel... a little better, at least. Amelia seemed to be struggling too, which meant that if she couldn't get it, then there was no way Ginelle could get it. Ginelle knew that deep inside, Amelia was better with magic than she was. As she watched Amelia, she threw her a thumbs up and a smiled of encouragement. "Keep going!" After that, she herself decided to give it another shot. She concentrated on her friendship with Amelia and Nathaniel, Muttered the incantation, and watched a large shield blast out of her wand. It wasn't exactly what she wanted, but it was definitely progress. She could produce that with the memories of Nathaniel and Amelia, then she knew that if she focused on Ameila, Olli, Sparrow and Nathaniel, she could get it to be even more powerful. "Expecto Patronum! The shield was full this time, bigger than ever, but still not a full blown Patronus. She sighed, and let it go.

Neomi Wroth... Neomi decided to try again, trying to think of a really happy memory. She thought back through her life and something came to mind. The day she received her acceptance letter made her so happy. She concetrated on the memory and tried again. "Expecto Patronum!" She still produced a mist but could keep it up a little bit longer. She stopped starting to feel a little strained....First Year Ravenclaw

"All you need to do now is to make that happiness around you, to fill you up, and lose yourself in it... I know you can do it, Ammy."Meiko said calmly as she looked at Ammy full of hope. "Give it a try now~"

Amelia frowned. She wasn't sure how to explain the how fake it was. How wrong it felt. How different it was from hers or Professor Reynolds. Still, she couldn't tell Meiko that she couldn't do it--not with the hope within her. If her friend believed in her, why couldn't she believe in herself? Slowly she picked a memory, trying to build up walls between her and everyone else. She was sitting in a plane, her dad's. Her heart started to race, as she heard the tower give her permission to take off. Slowly, she pushed on the throttle, listening to the craft spring to life with a roar. Then she was moving. She watched her speed increase, faster as she pushed the throttle harder. Reaching the proper speed, she pulled back, her nose lifting up into the air. And then she felt it. She was in the air. Alone in the air, she felt as if she was the only one in the sky. Through her intercom she listened to everyone cheer her first flight alone. "Expecto Patronum!" Thriving on the image of being alone helped her center on her own emotion. Out of her wand came the fluid like substance, quickly solidifying into a shield once more. Amelia cheered! It was hers. It felt right for once, not a fake, poor imitation.

Professor Kenneth ReynoldsD.A.D.A - Head of Gryffindor - Auror
"You all are doing fantastic jobs, truly fantastic. Most of you have cast a large mist version of the charm, which is a great feat given how young most of you are. I have no doubt that in a few more years you will be able to produce a fully body ones like myself and the older students." Kenneth paused for a moment, smiled then continued. "As a treat to how well you all have performed I'm going to award 10 points to all four houses."
Kenneth raised his wand and once again said "Expecto Patronum." His Dire Wolf Patronus appeared and then went running off to find Professor Lillian and to inform her of the House points he had just awarded.

Harmony Trumarie...
Harmony thought about happy memories - ones that would bring a smile to her face if she didn't force it away - her first encounter with Eliade, her first trip to the muggle world, all of the good moments in her "new" life. "Expecto Patronum..." Her words lacked strength, but a stream of silver fog came out. It was good work, especially for her first try, but deep down the girl knew she need better happy material. She just couldn't figure out what...

Professor Kenneth ReynoldsD.A.D.A - Head of Gryffindor - Auror
From his perch on the landing up to his office he watch his class work, in the distance he noticed a new person into the classroom. He watched as she picked he way though the other students, once she reached his desk he left his perch and headed down the stairs to his desk. "Welcome to Defense, Music." He then lowered his own voice and whispered back to Music "That's nothing to be assumed of my dear." Raising his voice back to normal he said, "Your just in time to practice the Patronus Charm. Thought like many of the first years in the class I doubt you will be able to cast a full body one just yet." Kenneth flicked his wand at one of the nearby blackboards and the lecture and instructions for the charm appeared on the board. "The notes on what the charm is and how to cast it are on the blackboard to your right, just walk up to it and touch the board and it will repeat what is written to you."
Quote: Patronus Charm Notes and Instructions
A Patronus Charm is an insubstantial animal protector created by the advanced Patronus Charm spell, and one way to defend against Dementors and certain other Dark creatures. The spell requires the use of a wand, concentration on a powerfully happy memory, and the incantation "Expecto Patronum."
The Patronus Charm is advanced magic and difficult to master, especially in emotionally difficult circumstances.
A Patronus that is completely and fully formed, or corporeal, takes the shape of fairly solid-looking animals; a non-corporeal Patronus appears only as wisps of silvery mist. It is a very complex charm and many qualified wizards and witches have trouble with it.
The Patronus Charm, like Animagus forms, has been said to reflect the personality or feelings of the witch or wizard. They are, however, subject to change if the caster goes through an emotional upheaval of some sort.
If a wizard is an Animagus and can summon a corporeal Patronus, the two may take the same form, as was the case for Minerva McGonagall and James Potter. Most Patronuses take the form of an ordinary animal, but magical creatures, such as Albus Dumbledore's phoenix Patronus, are not uncommon.
In order to cast this charm, one must think of an extremely happy memory or idea, and then say the incantation: "Expecto Patronum." Because of this, negative emotions can compromise a wizard or witch's ability to cast a Patronus.
There are two known uses for the Patronus charm. The first and main use of the Patronus is to drive off certain Dark creatures such as Dementors and Lethifolds, and is the only known charm that will work against them. As Dementors feed on happy memories to render humans to drown in sorrow and sadness, the Patronus acts as a shield of sort, of which the Dementor would try to feed off of instead - as the Patronus is comprised exclusively of positive feelings and cannot comprehend negative feelings, so the Dementor's influence cannot harm it. A non-corporeal Patronus only impedes Dementors, while a full-fledged one can drive them away.
The other use was devised by none other than Albus Dumbledore, who invented a way of using the Patronus to deliver messages. This source of communication is believed to be exclusive to the members of the Order of the Phoenix. Using the Patronus for communication offers great advantages in security, as Patronuses identify the caster and are Dark-proof.

Music took a deep breath before attempting to do the spell. She tapped the board once more to listen then cleared her throat. "Expecto Patronum." She said clearly but her voice stuttered a little.Even blind she could tell that the patronus wasn't powerful.

Aludra Yvette... Casting a Patronus Charm was no longer catching her interest of her fancy, in fact it was menacing to know that this was difficult magic. By now Aludra was casting it with ease, hardly even needing that strong of a memory. A mild one was all she needed because of the confidence she had in herself. Sending away her Patronus with a wave of her wand, the snake dispersed and she pocketed her wand back into her robes. Surely that would be enough for today; two patronus and taking 'notes' sounded like enough or her. Aludra yawned as she walked over to her school bag and sat on the floor next to it. She dug deep into it and pulled out a book she had gotten from the library and began to read. ...7th Year Slytherin

Amelia Frances Joan
Amelia grinned at Meiko. She didn't tell her there was a difference between what she was trying before and what she'd just done. Instead she just hugged her friend. It was wonderful to have them. She knew she'd be lost without them. She wasn't sure how she survived school with as poor of friends as she'd tried to make before. All they wanted her to do was to get into trouble. Now they believed she was worth more than that. Or at least that's what it seemed. Filled with happiness of the moment, she tried the Patronus charm again. This time, a huge amount of mist came out, and at the top you could just make out two points, a little separate from each other. Ears perhaps? Or maybe just a trick in the mist. Either way, it excited her.
