"Don't be silly." Said the bodiless voice.
Two large chakra signatures appeared out of no where from the tree branch above Tier. One of them sliced off the collar of the shirt Kansou wore with a katana while the other hastily took hold of her and backed off several feet in small bounds.
The two Shinobi Soldiers were in red exoskeletons. The only thing that was on their masks were four slitted eyes peering at Tier, analyzing his black exoskeleton.
"These are my arms.
Their cloaking device and Genjutsu fooled your senses quite well."
Bao Steel said as he stood close behind Tier.

Kansou swayed as she was stolen from Tier's grasp. She seemed to have fallen asleep while the men were talking. She now gazed back at Tier along with the two soldiers, seeming small in comparison.

As soon as his single yellow eye spotted the two enemies from above Tier released Kansou from his grasp and jumped backwards to get distance. Their exoskeletons were similar to his own except for the masks.
When Tier heard Bao's voice behind him, he instinctively swung his arm backwards to hit Bao clean across his face with split second reflexes.

There was the sound of wood being cracked in half as Tier's arm flew across a dead log.
A replacement technique.
Bao's body was now off to the right side of Tier several yards away. He was wearing a white cloak with it's hood pulled down. The opera mask still equipped to his face.
"That was one mark off the bingo book. Just seven more to go...
He was #2 on my list, did you know that? I bet you didn't, hehehe."
The two Shinobi Soldiers clad in red exoskeletons were scanning the environment in case a battle broke out.

Kansou shook herself from the man's grip and took two steps to the side. She called out to Bao.
"I hope this means my reward will be fulfilled. After what I have done for you."

Tier was staring at the new Soldiers while he listened to Bao and then heard what Kansou said.
"A reward..?"
A list..?
The only reason why Tier didn't attack yet was because information was about to be revealed. Bao Steel did like to talk too much.

"Hehehe, that's a good one.
No I think you'll have to make up for what happened today. You got lucky Kaimen Clough's body exploded before he got the chance to kill you."
He raised his hand at Kansou and shook his finger. Bao's opera mask was smiling. "In any case.. it's not a petty reward to be given with one good deed completed.
There's more to be done."

Kansou's face narrowed in anger before fading to a pouting tone. She resumed her gaze on Tier.

"KEKEKEKE.
I can already see when he'll stab you in the back, Kansou."
Tier's shark-like teeth appeared on his mask smiling. His single yellow eye swiveled towards the right where Bao was standing.
"I was eaves dropping on your Captain's call to Black Project's HQ. It seems they think you're dead. I wouldn't stay too long if I were you, kukuku.
Someone might see."

"Nono, I plan to keep my promise to Kansou."
Bao wheeled his head skywards at the mention of "Black Projects".
"Hmm. I wonder how long you've been listening in? Hehehe.
I mean if you had been listening in from a few months ago, the attacks could have been avoided . . .
Oh well. You're right, I should leave."
Bao lowered his gaze to meet the two Shinobi Soldiers'. They turned their heads simultaneously to greet Bao's head movement.
"It would be in both of our interests to not start an unnecessary fight here.
You should mourn the dead."
Bao started to walk over to the three Shinobi.

Tier watched all four of them with caution for any sudden movements. Tier wouldn't cancel his Crow Techniques until he knew for a fact they disappeared. He had one more question to ask. "Who was #1 in your bingo book?"

Bao reached Kansou and the two Shinobi Soldiers. He was facing towards Tier as the four Shinobi started to sink into the ground like mud.
"#1 on the list is a retired Librarian.
#3 on the list is a false wind.
That's all you get."
The four Shinobi disappeared into the ground. It was another Genjutsu; they had retreated.

There were several small lizardlike creatures hanging around in the trees surrounding the battlefield, All of them paying close attention to the happenings. Though, to most senses, they would appear as nothing more than squirrels.

Tier's Crow Techniques were canceled. The yellow chakra that enveloped his legs and arms disappeared and he started to make his way back to the destroyed Main Dojo.
