In her independent study, Marie was unable to really get anywhere with her latest piece, but it wasn't a waste of time. Despite her mind going in and out of day dreams, she managed to tweak two other pieces to be more effective.

Soon enough, Marie was off to Anatomy. Introductory chapter to read. Fun.

Next Japanese History where Marie didn't go out of her way to aviod Sergey but of course didn't try to be friendly with him anymore either. No homework though, so that's a plus.

Drama was last and what Marie had looked forward too. She had fun chatting with Sam and their homework was to bring in a song tomorrow and lipsync to it. Big fun! And not in a sarcastic aspect. Oddly though, Lite and Matt were missing. Marie hoped the flu wasn't already going around or something.

Soon it was lunch time, and luckily other students had been chatty in class about the training thing at lunch or Marie would have never known since it was annouced while she was in her music room. True the music practice rooms had emergency alerts so that if the building caught on fire you would be told though a separate system. General annoucements had its own system that wasn't heard in the sound proof rooms.

Marie stared out into the rain with a face of mixed expressions. With a huff, Marie hurried through the rain to her dorm. Soaked by the time she got there she sighed in a bit of frustation. Her attempt to look pretty today turned out to be a flop due to the rain. At least she wasn't trying to manage being on the beach like this.

Quickly running her room, Marie threw on a blue sweatshirt and a pair of light blue jeans. Messily in her rush, she braided her damp hair and finally stuck her feet in some rain boots and her torso in a rain coat.

Out in the cold again, Marie walked carefully to the beach to see what all the hub bub was about.

Logan went through his classes quietly and efficiently, though he was daydreaming in the middle of English, causing him to get called upon and to make a wrong answer. People laughed, he flushed and got back into paying attention. Geometry, he almost did the same thing, but managed to get the answer right because he had been paying attention somewhat.
Study hall was where he was off in his own world the most, even while he did some minor homework stuff. He finished early and simply stared off into space, listening to the rain hit the walls and roof, and wondering how Marie's classes were going.

When the lunch bell rang, Logan gave off almost a startled noise, and then a small sigh of relief. He collected his things, put them in his bag, and then headed out of the classroom. There was someone handing out umbrellas, and Logan got one before he headed out, pleased he didn't have to get wet again.

Masses of students in rain coats, or with umbrellas, headed towards the beach. Logan stayed out of the way of most of them, and stood off to the side when he arrived at the beach, looking around for his team mates.

Isabella's class experience was interesting, considering she'd never been in an actual school before. During her Study Hall, she was given things with brail to make sure she could read them. A few things were gone over with her, and she nodded with only a seemingly minor interest.
In English 4, a boy with a light that wouldn't settle on one shape was called on and gave a wrong answer. He apparently hadn't been paying attention. Bella placed the name 'Logan- shifting light' in her head to remember later.
In Algebra, Bella had to remember her numbers for a moment, before the class went by like a breeze. She was relatively good in math, once she remembered all the information she needed to process.
Lastly, before lunch, there was one more study hall for Bella, and she did that catching up on work she'd missed. Her escort would be with her through the rest of this week, and then the teachers would have her notes printed out for her in brail for her to read and take account of.

After her fourth hour class, Isabella was escorted out of the building with an umbrella over her head as she followed the large amounts of lights, making it rather bright for her, causing her to squint her eyes a bit. She and her escort went to stand off to the side to await the event they were all called there to experience.

Arkell nodded and smiled back at Zahzi, "Yeah, I'd like that.." She remarked as she got up and headed to her first class of the day, excited for lunch due to the training at the beginning, and the possibility of more conversations with Zahzi. She got to the front door and stopped dead looking out at the rain with dread. "Craaaaaap!" She whined as she picked up her book bag and held it over her head and ran flat out to the academic buildings, squealing the entire way. She grumbled as she went in, dripping water behind her and grabbed one of the towels on the table to dry off a bit before heading to her Geo class. She loved history, love love love love LOVED history! But there was homework tonight, and she groaned as the bell rang for the next class. She shuffled off to German and sat through it, also receiving homework in that. English, boring, and MORE homework! But thankfully she had gym next, gym had no homework to which she was especially glad. Gym class was always fun, but she noticed a familiar dog boy missing from class and she frowned, sad that he wasn't there. The bell rang for lunch and Arkell shuffled off sadly to the beach thinking and wondering abut Tess.

Sergey laughed slightly at the comment. "I suppose..." He said in his thick Russian accent. He looked up as he heard the announcement for the beginning of classes. He smiled at the boy. "Sorry, have head to class now, maybe see you later?" He moved passed him and out of the auditorium to head to Study hall to read his Chem book. The second bell rang, and he headed to chemistry, all caught up in his book, but noticed that Tess was not beside him. He frowned and decided to look for him when lunch rolled around before heading to training. The bell rang and he headed to Japanese History, purposefully avoiding Marie again as he had the day before. He sighed and was grateful that there was no homework for the class, and then headed to PE 2. It was alright, more exercises and a game of dodgeball. He excelled in pegging the ball at people, but not so much on the dodging part....After that the bell rang again for Lunch and he headed out to get changed and then headed to the medical ward to make sure Tess had gotten his key.

The Medical Facility was mostly quiet for the morning, until around lunch time, where a noisy room filled up the rest of the building.

"You are NOT keeping me here for the rest of the day!" Tess growled, climbing out of bed despite hands that were trying to push him back onto it.

"Mr. Reynalds- you still aren't well! Even if your fever has gone down, you still need rest, and leaving right now could potentially make it worse again!"

"Did you hear me? I don't care. Heck, I'll even go rest in my own room, if you want, but I'm -not- staying here!" He managed to get out of bed and was working on making his way out into the hall to head for the doors. He was pissed off that they said they were going to keep him there, and he didn't want to have any part in that. On top of it all, he was hungry, so he was planning on heading to the cafeteria. He'd heard the announcement, barely, but figured he couldn't do much, anyways, so he'd get a head start on food.

Zahzi

PostPosted: Sat Aug 30, 2008 1:37 pm

As the lunch beel rang, Zahzi looked up from his desk. The work he had done in his class was done, and he just shrugged.
"Well, I guess it's down to the beach for whatever they want us herded for...I just hope they don't want us to go swimming..." he said with a sigh, as he left the classroom building and went towards the beaches.

After eating the oatmeal offered to him by Elaina, Sam took the bowl to the front of the cafeteria and proceeded to the door. He opened it with a quick motion, opening his umbrella to protect him from the rain.

The violet-locked empath decided to spend his first period in his dorm room. He still needed to send Amy an e-mail, so Sam booted up his laptop and opened the mail client. He clicked "Compose a message", entered his girlfriend's address, and began typing. The e-mail he sent said:

"Dear Amy, Sorry I didn't contact you yesterday; I was watching a movie with some new friends. School has gotten off to a good start, though I had a small scrape with someone after lunch. The day ended well, and now I'm waiting for my free period to end. Yours, etc., Sam. P.S.: My ability evolved yesterday! I can now heal myself!"

The bell rang signalling the end of first period, making Sam log out of RuneScape 6.0 and shut his computer down. He left the dorm under the cover of his umbrella and continued to his morning classes.

Physical Science hadn't gotten off the ground quite yet; they just went over some basic theories of matter and energy. Sam was tempted to fall asleep in the middle of class, but his attentiveness won the battle.

Psychology wasn't any more challenging. They were going to spend a few days yet on the history of this particular study. Sam did fall asleep this time, but he was awoken by a ruler to his desk.

Despite the lack of Lite and Matt, Sam enjoyed Drama today. He spent the majority of the class chatting idly with Marie. It took the boy about a minute to decide on the perfect song for his homework: "Well All Right" by The Hives. He thought it a very fun tune.

Lunch arrived, and Sam made his way directly to the beach, noting that there appeared to be no end to the rain in sight. He saw Marie arrive, but didn't approach her, knowing that her team would soon join her. Besides, he hoped to be joined by his own teammates, particularly Kazuko. He was intrigued to see her mood when she was surrounded by water.

((By the way, Goosey, what day of the week is it? I'm curious about how far away the dance is.))

Will smiled slightly and waved as the announcement went off and Sergey left. They hadn't even exchanged names. He was sure he would spot the boy later. Instead of directly reporting to the room, Will decided to play one song on the piano. The playing lifted his spirits a bit, and he almost felt more energized. He arrived in the study hall class obviously late, was called out by the teacher, and had to make an excuse for himself on getting lost, which he had been on the way to the classroom.

Anatomy hadn't been that interesting, and yet again, he was making a record for being late and lost. The same occurred with World History. He only was able to get to Band on time because he had a general idea of where the room was. He was relieved when lunch time came. Almost getting lost again, Will managed to find his room and grab some rain gear. He then proceeded to the beach, following everyone else.

Candice headed down to the beach after her morning classes had ended. She sat quietly i the sand watching other's arrive. Her eyes half shut she held the note Matt had written and read it over. "There goes the dance, not to mention my only chance with Matt, but he might be back! Right? He said he was going to!" She said trying to smile and folding the note up. Candice's black hair fell over her eyes as she stood up and looked around for her team members.

Walking down to the beach, Huilliame noted the smaller crowd. He guessed Matt had left. Lite was gone too. He wandered over to Candice who looked a little distraught. As the new team leader he had his duty. "Ah. Sorry about Matt." He sighed.

As the crowd of students gathered, the rain got heavier and the sky began to flash and rumble as the longboat drew closer, coming in at a great speed on the rolling waves til it suddenly came to a slowing halt. An anchor came crashing over the side as it slithered onto the beach. For a while, there was nothing. Then came dog barks and a loud voice. Suddenly two huge white wolves came bounding over the side, yapping and charging, sniffing the air carefully. Then, over the gunwale came a grizzled old man dressed in grey trousers and tough fish scale boots and an eye patch. He was dragging a massive mutated giant squid, codenamed Kraken. Odin had arrived. He scanned the crowd of assembled teens and regarded them for a while. He then began to speak, in a loud, clear voice.
"Good day to you all. My name is Mikael Kristefelden, but to you, I am Odin. I will be your instructor for training this year. I was asked to stand in for Instructor Trieze. For many of you, this will explain her absence. I will be conducting a series of interviews with several students throughout the week to find out about you.For now, I would like to see the following students in my office. Tess Reynalds, Harmony Canaan, Zahzi Ahzai and Kazuko Yoko. I will be interviewing you all for this afternoon and will be excused from all lessons. For now, I'd like whichever students have super strenth to help me carry my errant creation here to the U.N. containment pod and then to move my boat to a better position at the dock. That is all."

Candice sat quietly looking up at Hulliame. She shook her head and spoke sadly. "Yeah, like I care, i never liked Matt, the only reason I asked him to the dance was to see if he actually would say yes, I don't even think he's that cute." she said standing up. "He's just an idiot." She said rubbing her eyes with her fists. She jolted as a man began to talk. His appearance scared her a bit, she wondered why they would pick a person like him. Candice stood wondering if today could get any worse?

Zahzi

PostPosted: Sun Aug 31, 2008 5:25 pm

"Oh I feel so privliged..." Zahzi said, in a sarcastic tone, looking at the person calling themself Odin. It made him smirk because back in Norway, they thought Zahzi was a reincarnation of the Norse God.

"Sorry you feel that way." Murmured Huilliame. He was a little in awe at first, especially at the wolves, which were tame and came over to look at them but then returned to the conversation. "Listen, dont sweat it. I read the note and well, Matts home life wasnt exactly sunny." He felt a little uneasy about her sudden shift in personality. "But if you want I can help find you a date." He said trying to get her to cheer up.

Candice froze and smiled when Hulliame offered to help her find a date. She shook her head and sighed. "No, I think I'll be fine not going to the dance, I'm not angry with Matt, I understand that family is important. I just wish he had told me in person." Candice said wiping her eyes and smiling. "Besides, I realize how stupid it is now." She said.

Patting one of the wolves as it drifted off towards Aki, Huilliame nodded. "Well, if you need to talk you'll usually be able to find me. The other thing is this means I'm team leader now. Our team may not have the most obviously useful powers, but that dosent matter. I promise I'll lead us to be great." He said, taking a couple of pieces of candy from his pocket. Warheads. He offered one to her and unwrapped an apple one.

Logan looked upon the scene with a curiosity that forgave him from looking for his team mates some more. Interviews? That was different. And how would they be training with this Norse God of an instructor? His eyes went to the giant squid for a moment, then to the boat, and then to the wolves. He frowned a little, then sighed when it seemed like everything was done for now.
Looking around, he made his way away from the beach to get to the cafeteria before the swarms did.

Isabella listened curiously, watching the lights move around, a new few coming to shore from the sea. "Training Instructor..." she murmured to herself, and then looked to her guide. "What kind of person is he?" she asked. The woman with her described his appearance in more detail then the girl could see, and then Bella nodded to herself, smiling lightly. "He should know how to describe the lights better..." she murmured softly.

Tess had managed to get outside, glancing to Sergey a moment, before keeping going. He could see the masses of students on the beach, and with his arms wrapped around him, he made his way over because he thought he'd heard his name. He wasn't so sure, though, as there was some thunder and lightning above, and he could've just imagined he heard it. A few students moved out of his way as he narrowed his eyes at them, knowing almost everyone probably didn't recognize him and might've thought he was some new student with some power of making things explode, or something. A nasty look from a mutant you don't know could cause troubles.

Finally, Tess managed to stumble up near where Odin was, thoroughly soaked to the bone now, but his lower fever making it so it wasn't so cold. "Did I hear my name called? I'm Tess Reynalds. I was in the Medical Facility and was on my way out."
