As soon as Nurse Joy was back with her two Poke Balls, Kurine stood up and went to get them, thanked Joy, then walked out of the Center, paused, and wondered what to do next.
They'd already trained a lot, but...a little more training couldn't hurt. Besides, it had seemed that last time she'd used Sentret, the Pokemon had still pretty much hated her, and she wanted it to like her a bit more before challenging anyone official. She wouldn't want to make the impression that she couldn't even get her own Pokemon to listen to her, or that she'd done something horrible that caused the Pokemon to want nothing to do with her.
But, first, she had to get to know the town better. After taking forever just to make it to the PokeCenter, Kurine wanted to make sure that she could at least find the key places in the city--the Pokemon Center, the PokeMart, and the Gym. As long as she knew where those were, she would be good to go. She set off along the road, doing her best to remember where the Pokemon Center was as she searched for the Mart. After asking around a bit, and getting lost a couple of times, she finally found it, and set about knowing had to get back and forth from the Center and the Mart without getting lost. After she had that down, she would find the Gym, and do the same thing--get from the Gym to the Center, and the Gym to the Mart, on a certain path so that she would remember which way to go the next time she entered town and ended up at one of the three places.

When the three of them got to Slateport the entire city was buzzing. Pokemon everywhere, trainers every where, and other people with out pokemon were scattered all over the place too. Children were running in and out and in between people and their pokemon. Serenity's heart almost stopped as she saw one of the children miss getting stepped on by a Snorlax by a few centemetres.
The two pokemon at Sere's feet were chattering away. She could tell by the intensity of their chatter that they were just as excited as she was nervous. Once she saw how many people were around she wanted to turn around and head home. No trip to a new area was worth having to deal with all these people. She felt her heart start to beat faster and faster, and it was all she could do to stay standing.
George started to feel his trainer's anxiety and started to worry. He should have known that there was no way that she would have been able to handle all the fuss over this beach party. He didn't want to go back. The little mudkip knew that he had to do everything he possibly could to convince his trainer that she was fine here. That him and Radish would make sure that she would be able to make it through the entire crowd of people. He started having a converstaion with the Oddish and the two of them came to the agreement that they would under no circumstances that the two of them would ever leave their trainer's side.
"You know you two, the chances of us finding a place to sleep with all of these people here is going to be very very small." Sere said.
"Kip! Muuud Kip!" George said. He started bouncing towards the beach. Radish and Sere followed him. He found a nice little spot on the beach, that was far away from most of the croud and sheltered by the trees.
"Oh George! You are a genous!" She picked the mudkip off the ground and gave him a big kiss. "This would be a perfect place to sleep, we'll spend the night under the stars. What do you think Radish?"
"Ooooddish." The little plant nodded.

Train stared out the window of the Pokemon Center at the darkening sky, watching as the setting sun caused the sky to start becoming different shades of pink, blue, and orange. She immediatly glanced over as she heard Nurse Joy return, though, and she stood up and walked over to the desk to get back her two Poke Balls and Pikachu.
"So, are you going to attend the Beach Party? Nurse Joy asked as Pikachu clambered back onto Train's shoulder. When Train just stood there blankly and blinked, Nurse Joy laughed and said, "Oh, you hadn't heard? There's going to be a party in Slateport. Apparantly a lot of trainers are going to be there."
"Oh, cool!" Train exclaimed. "I have to get there by train, right? Where's the closest train station to here?"
"Saffron, I'm pretty sure, and there's one in Celadon as well." Nurse Joy answered, smiling apologetically--she knew that both were awfully far away, which was only back up as Train groaned and hung her head unhappily.
"Thanks," She sighed, clipping her Poke Balls back onto her belt and heading out the door, waving slightly before she left.
Pikachu jumped and landed lightly on the ground as Train stopped and leaned against the Pokemon Center, pulling out her map and locating Saffron and Celadon. "They're so far away!" She complained, sighing again. "Well, I guess we can at least try to get there. I forgot to ask when it's starting, but, whatever." They would have to go right through cities and not stop at the Gyms or anything, only Pokemon Centers, if she wanted even a chance of getting to Saffron and being able to make it to Slateport while the party was at least still going on.
Train paused as she looked down at herself, and began heading towards one of the stores. But first, some new clothes!

Ky never really expected the Ilex Forest investigation to be very exciting, so it didn't surprise him when all that Tracy did was walk around the forest floor, taking notes as he examined bits of debree, meanwhile asking Ky questions along the way. Having found a comfortable stump to sit on, Ky answered patiently.
"I don't know what he did to get the ghosts mad. There was just so many of them and they simply wouldn't stop attacking. And it wasn't just a bunch of Gastly, there were Haunters and a Gengar too," Ky added.
Ky's last sentence happened to raise the ranger's eyebrow over his sunglasses as he wrote a bit more vigorously onto his notepad. "Well, I think I'm pretty much done here. Ghosts often bother trainers as they walk through dark areas, but there's two things wrong with this story. Venture a guess?" Tracy asked curiously.
Ky shrugged. "Ghosts like to scare trainers and play tricks on them, but they aren't supposed to just attack them. Also, it's really rare to see them work in groups larger than two or three. I bet the Gengar has to do with it. Not very many people know how Gengars behave in the wild. Haunters tend to be more vicious than Gastlys, so I wouldn't be surprised if Gengars were even worse."
Tracy took off his glasses to look at Ky, his hazel eyes showing a look of impressed consideration. "Not bad, kid. If I were a Ranger recruiter, I'd say you're Ranger material," he complimented. "But, most importantly, how do we solve this problem?"
Ky shrugged again, though he answered with a bit more confidence. "Get rid of the Gengar?"
"Bingo," Tracy said with a wink, writing some more notes. "Chances are he's the ring-leader of the whole ordeal, so I'll just write up a bounty report. The fact that Gengars are rare in the wild will make it easy to get talented trainers to want to catch it. So much in fact, we'll probably need to also set a limit for trainers in the forest so the wildlife isn't disturbed by crowding." And with that, Tracy closed his notebook, putting his sunglasses back on with a smile. "Investigation complete."
Then, out of nowhere, Little Guy popped up right in front of Ky, leading Ky to stumble and fall off his stump.
"Ky, sorry to spook you, But there's a threat coming this way. Three trainers saying they want to... They want to make you pay!"
"What?! Them?!" Ky reacted as he quickly jumped up to brush off his shorts.
Tracy, who also happened to be targeted by Little Guy's thought-speak, only looked on curiously. "Something urgent?" he asked.
"I have to get back to my Pokemon, pronto." Ky said, running in the direction of the ATV. Little Guy then Teleported back, leaving Tracy somewhat in the dust.
"Well, can't say I didn't hope for a little excitement," Tracy mumbled before finally racing after Ky.

Mike walked along the Fiery Path, carrying the somewhat heavy Magby on his shoulders. The added weight made the dodging of random steam geysers quite difficult. If he hadn't been so familiar with the area, chances are he would have gotten burned badly. After fifteen minutes of labored walking, it was just too much. "I'm sorry Napalm." Mike said with audible strain as he knelt down on the ground. "Between this heat and you, I gotta let'cha down now." The Magby let out a dejected sigh and hopped off, his claws making a loud click as he landed on the stone floor. "Don't think of it as being too heavy" said the boy, spying the Pokemon's disappointed look. "Think of it as being big and strong! Rugged and tough!" He grit his teeth and let out a loud "Grrrr!" The good thing about Napalm was that while he was a tough little guy, he was still a baby by Pokemon standards, and that made him really easy to cheer up. Mike's little comment made the Magby honk with delight, forgetting his previous grievance with the skill of a goldfish. "That's better." Mike replied, giving Napalm a pat on the head.
The two continued on the path for a good hour or so, sometimes stopping to watch the Slugma inch by, caught up in their constant need for movement. "Keep at it little slug." Mike said with a smile.
After their walk, Mike sat down on the side of the path to relax. This little trip was just what he needed to calm himself down after the little episode at Keegan's house. Napalm laid across his trainer's lap and closed his eyes, quite content to just sit and do nothing, as Mike became wrapped in his thoughts. I get where she's coming from. I just don't think she understands my side of things. He scratched the top of his head in annoyance, people just didn't seem to be capable of putting themselves in his shoes. I mean, Kasiya and Kilik get it. Why can't she? She was there when we rescued Nina, she knows how crazy things get with my friends! Mike felt his eyelids get heavy as he continued to think, the cave's hot temperature was soothing; like a sauna. It only helped him succumb to his drowsiness. She just...needs to...chill...

Kilik sat up, scratching his chin. He glanced lazily over at the clock. Three in the morning. He had been asleep for the past two hours, but it certainly felt a lot longer. The boy swung his long legs over the side of the bed and stood up, stretching with a groan. Flareon slumbered, undisturbed, on the bed. The fox rolled over and stuck his paws into the air. He was having the most wonderful dream. The boy smiled and stuck his hands into his pockets. Maybe a nice walk would clear his mind.
He wasn't exactly sure what was keeping him up. Could it be the possibility of a Rocket attack? After all, whenever the kids grouped together and had fun, it just so happened that Team Rocket was right there. It's not as if Giovanni didn't know their every move either, as there were bound to be agents placed anywhere and everywhere. As he walked down the street, Kilik looked up at the moon. Man, was it gorgeous. "If you were still an Eevee," he said to nobody, "I could have an Umbreon right now. Not that I'd want you as anything else." He shot a glance at the hotel building, thinking of his Flareon.
"I'm Mitsu, by the way."
Kilik's ears twitched. What was Mitsu doing up this late? Moreover, who was she introducing herself to? It didn't take much to guess; the tacky Charizard wings were a dead giveaway. It was Mazarin. Slowly, his blood began to boil. His hands shut into fists. "Hey!" he called out, "Mazarin!"
He froze. He knew that voice, but at least it was almost 'inviting'. "Nice to meet you Mitsu. Now..." he turned around, "What do you want, man? Haven't you yelled at me enough today?" Kilik approached the two, shot a smile over at Mitsu then looked at Mazarin.
"Look. How about we battle? I just have a lot of pent up..." he pondered for the right word, "rage. Against you, at least. Maybe a battle will ease some of that out. Three on three, what do ya say?"
It didn't take long for a response: "Agreed."

"You've made the right choice my boy. With you at my side, Hoenn will be safe once more." A tall soft spoken man put his hand on a teen boy's shoulder. "She will be safe." The boy beside him smiled excitedly. His messy brown hair and bright green eyes accented his innocent face as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small photograph. A young girl with ruby red hair was sitting outside of a cafe. She was beautiful. Big red eyes, cute little nose, the sort of look that made a boy forget all his troubles, the kind you could look at forever. The picture was candid, a few blurry leaves could be made out in the foreground. He ran a gentle finger down the picture and let out a relieved sigh. She would be safe, just like he said.
A small gust of wind snatched the photo from his hands. The boy let out a cry and gave chase, reaching for the escaping picture as he ran. After a momentary chase it was back in his hands. He grabbed it from the air, holding it tight. A solitary tear rolled down his cheek as he pressed the photo to his chest.
As he stood there fixated on his photograph, the boy noticed a bright light beginning to form on the ground. It began to grow larger and larger, swallowing everything around him. The boy looked back to the man he was standing next to just a minute ago, he wasn't moving. He called out to him, but the man did nothing. Instead, he just stood there with a crooked smile on his face as the light enveloped him too. The man's sinister laugh echoed in the empty void. He had abandoned him.
The boy looked around, hoping to find a way out. It was bright, and he was scared. Suddenly, a burst of sound. An explosion? No. He was in Lilycove. People were screaming, buildings were crumbling. There was fire and rubble everywhere. He looked up, his eyes wide with fear at what loomed above. It was giant. Its body was outlined by a bright red glow. A low growl shook the earth as it lifted up its gargantuan foot. The boy looked up at the shadowy monster, then slowly down at his photo. In his frantic racing about he had crumpled it. He screamed, trying to flatten it out, but to no avail. All the troubles in the world, and he couldn't keep a simple picture safe. What good was he? The boy fell to the ground, accepting his fate as the shadow of the beast's foot began to shrink around him.
Wham.
Mike awoke with a slight jump. It was that blasted dream again. No matter how many times he had it, it always felt so real. He could even feel the rumble from the earthquake. "Wait, that's no quake. It's my 'nav." He fumbled around in his pocket before taking out his Pokenav. '1 NEW TEXT MESSAGE' was displayed on the screen. "Pour moi?" He flipped it open and read the message, chuckling slightly. He took out a Pokeball and recalled Napalm, then stood to his feet, looking at the time. "Woah, eight already? Man I must have really dozed." He snapped the device shut and tucked it back into his pocket. As Mike began to walk towards the exit, his quiet voice could be heard throughout the cavern.
"Oh! But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for!"

After Luffy had left her side in the night Robin had started to toss and turn on her little couch. She had slept with the Aipom for so long now she just couldn't sleep well or at all if he wasn't there. Around fifteen minutes after Luffy had left her side Robin ended up rolling off of her couch and onto the floor. There was a muffled thump as she hit the ground and a loud groan emitted from the redhead on the ground. Mumbling some mild curses under her breath Robin reached for her pack and fumbled around for her phone for a second before sliding it open to check the time. She stared at the glowing device for a few moments her brain not quite catching what time it was exactly before sliding it shut and sighing. Rubbing her eyes Robin sat up and looked around looking for a sleeping Luffy but not finding him. "Well thats the problem." She muttered before yawning and grabbing her things. Might as well get changed and go look for Luffy, if the Aipom was up it was only a matter of time before the rest of the town was up.
Abandoning her couch Robin headed over to the bathroom and after a very quick shower and a change of clothes she was ready to look for her lost Aipom. Shouldering her pack she quietly made her way out of the pokemon center and out onto the night streets. "Luffy! If you can hear me get over here right now!" She called out into the night. Walking down the streets Robin kept an eye out, there was a surprising amount of traffic on them at this time of night. Either it was because of Slateport just constantly being busy or the beach party coming up. Off to her left it seemed like Kilik, Mitsu and some strange cosplayer were going to be fighting. Resisting the urge to go chat with the cosplayer Robin returned to her search for Luffy. "Luffy I know you are out here," He had to be because the people were still sleeping in the pokemon center. " so why don't you stop whatever it is you are doing and come over here."
Pouting somewhat at her lack of luck Robin sat down on a bench trying to figure out some way to find her wayward pokemon. The answer came with two bright flashes, one coming from a pokeball and one coming from a park ball. It seemed like Razputin and Brook could come out of there pokeballs! "Hey what are you two doing out here?" Razputin just made a small chirping sound before doing a few flips in front of her. On the ground Brook used one of his little leaf feelers as a hand and patted Robin leg comfortingly. Smiling at her pokemons attempts to cheer her up Robin sniffled slightly as she felt tears starting to form before they were quickly wiped away. She was so used to it just being her and Luffy that it was nice to know she had other Nakama now to. "You guys wanna help me look for our fearless leader?" She asked glad her voice didn't break up. The two other pokemon agreed, well Brook gave out a loud 'Hohohoho!' laugh while Raz did an upside down twirl in the air. "Thanks guys, lets go find that little brat and beat the snot out of him for waking us up." That comment was meet with an even greater sound of agreement.

After exiting the forest, thanks to Little Guy's warning, Ky wasn't shocked to find the same three kids from Goldenrod approaching menacingly. That couldn't be said for Rex, who was once again growling as he did when they had bothered them in the city. All three of them had smirks looking for trouble, but Tracy was the first to break the tension.
"What're you goons all the way out here for? I doubt you'll find any kids to bully out here. At least not while I'm around," Tracy said cooly. He held out an inviting hand. "Ky, these are the Rocket Runts. Rocket Runts, Ky."
"We met before," Ky growled, to the pleasure of the gang's female leader.
"You're lucky Jenny came," she snickered. "Otherwise you'd be looking like a purple-eyed Zigzagoon by now." The two behind her snickered once again. "Heh, purple-eyed. Good one," they both snorted. "And you mister," she said to Tracy with sarcastic politeness. "I would prefer if you'd refer to us by our proper title. We're the Rocket Recruits, so surrender now, or prepare to fight!" she warned with a stomp of her foot as she reached back for a Pokeball. "Yeah! That's right!" the duo responded, mimicking her stomp and pose.
"Wowowowoah there little tikes," Tracy said with a smirk as he waved both his hands out in front of him. "I don't mean to stomp on your pride, but you guys can't possibly be of high-enough level to challenge me. The strongest part of my interview for becoming a ranger was showing my 6 Johto badges, and I doubt you guys even have that much combined!" he said with a laugh.
"Hmph, who said I cared about challenging some dead-beat ranger?" the girl replied, though her played disinterest didn't quite hide the fact she was irked. "We're here to challenge this snot for insulting my face!" she said with a huff and a hiss.
Meanwhile, Ky was simply irritated. "I call it even for insulting Rex's face, but if you want a battle, let's go! Three vs. three, no switching, got it?" Ky said as he set up some room to fight on the grass by the trees. "Rex, you're up first!" Rex, having heard all of this, couldn't really refuse and ran over. He despised battling, but with his pride on the line, there was nothing he could do.
The girl nodded. "Stevo, looks like you're battling Scarface. Show that two-faced Totodile who's boss!" she cheered.
The bigger, hunkier guy who had simply watched Ky being held by the other, stepped up. "Heh, two-faced. Good one," he snorted stupidly. "Go, Nidoking!" he called out, throwing his Pokeball into the center.
Ky's jaw dropped.

Mike took his sweet time walking back to Lavaridge. He was in no rush and still a bit groggy from the nap. All he wanted was a nice night walk. No Pokemon, no people, just him and the stars. He closed his eyes and let out a deep, calming breath. "No more daydreams please." He said to himself, tapping the side of his head as if to stress his point. "And no metaphors either."
The evening stroll was lonely and uneventful, no random Pokemon or psychotic trainers tripping over themselves demanding battles. It was nice. As much as Mike liked battling, and he loved battling, sometimes he needed a break. Hell, the Pokemon League Champion had to have vacations too. Besides, he'd been working hard in training Napalm, so it's not like he was shirking on that. The brown haired boy strolled into Lavaridge with a loud yawn. It was hardly the entrance of the town's self appointed vanguard but meh, he was on break. "Seems-aaaa ike it'sstill-aaaaaain -ne -iece to me." He groaned in frustration at his linguistic fumble, and decided he had done enough talking for the night. He made his way home, sent a barely legible reply to Flannery on his Pokenav, and hit the sack. A smiling poster of a certain red haired Gym Leader smiled back at him as he closed his eyes for the night.
"Tomorrow's gonna be great."

Perhaps he should've thought the idea of battling Mazarin through a little better. He was down to five Pokemon, as Flareon was still asleep, and to top it off, Flareon was one of his strongest Pokemon. Then again, maybe he wouldn't need him. Kilik picked up the Park Ball from his side bag and pressed the button in the middle. It's late and you're probably tired, he thought, closing his eyes, but I need you for this.
"Well, I'll use Shiftry!" he laughed, tossing the ball. From it came a very intimidating Pokemon. It's body appeared to be made out of bark, though it was covered in shaggy white hair that trailed down to the ground. Instead of fingers, it had large leaves. Little yellow eyes shimmered beneath its hair.
Kilik blinked. He'd seen Mazarin with a Seedot when he was little, but he never knew that it was actually HIS. "I thought you started out with your Shuppet?" he tilted his head. "I did. The Seedot that evolved into this Shiftry was just a little friend of mine." He raised and eyebrow and nodded his head to show that he understood. "I choose Scizor! Let's go!" with a flick of the wrist, the Park Ball was sent flying.
Scizor burst from the ball in her usual display of lights and stars. Kilik was dead wrong - she wasn't tired at all. With a flap of her wings and a fabulous flip, she landed on the sand with her arms crossed over her chest. She glared daggers at her opponent. This was going to be cake. "Ready?" he called, "I want you to go with Fury Cutter!"
Mazarin stuck his finger in his ear and dug around for a moment. "Did I hear right? Fury Cutter?" he tilted his head and crossed his arms, rolling his eyes. "I always thought that move wasn't very strong..." Though he was about to eat his words. Shiftry let out a cry of anguish and fell to the ground, standing back up slowly. He was shaking. "Wait..what?!"
"You were half right," Kilik began to explain, putting his hands behind his back and holding his head up a bit, "You see, Fury Cutter does start off weak, but gradually grows stronger. Though you also have to consider your Shiftry's typing." He slashed the air with his arm and pointed at the opposing Pokemon. "He's not only a Grass-type, but a Dark-type as well! That means he's going to be very weak when stacked up to a Bug-type attack, even one starting as weak as Fury Cutter!" Scizor went back to her starting position, her feet in the same little holes she had dug when she first appeared on the battlefield.
"Clever, Kilik..." Maz scratched his chin, "But can you handle this?" he asked, "I want you to attack that Scizor with the move we taught you in Kanto!" With a shriek, the Wicked Pokemon disappeared and then reappeared behind his opponent, latching onto her. He began to glow as if an evolution were occuring.
What the...? Kilik grit his teeth when he realized what was happening.

Mary-Anne was just falling away from her dream-world into that pleasant darkness that'd last 'till morning when suddenly she hit something. Hard.
Uncertain of everything around her, she smacked the foreign object from her side, feeling the carpet bouncing back. Her hand ached from the impact, giving her another notch of consciousness. Oh, okay. She'd fallen out of... bed. She crinkled her nose, shut her eyes tighter for a moment, then groggily opened them; for a second, all she saw was the blackness of the ground in front of her and she then realized that it was a little difficult to breathe face buried on the floor. Getting up was a far more difficult task than it should have been, what with her half-consciousness and the blanket that was twisted around her like a serpent.
Funny, she didn't remember moving to her room... Maybe she'd slept-walk. Not that she had ever done that before, so that was a peculiar thought to her. In her quiet fuss, Tora had woken up as well, finally having burned off that ridiculous amount of food she'd eaten in competition with that monkey; Daemyn, being the light sleeper, had already been more or less awake, and had been growling with laughter at his trainer's groggy antics. The girl's eyes adjusted to the blackness of the hotel room, and she stumbled a bit dizzily out of the doorway into the living room connector. Only saw a hump of blanket where Kilik's couch was, assumed he was still there, sleeping.
She had the odd feeling of being very energetic now that she was fully awake and decided to leave the hotel room to move around without fear of waking anyone up. So she struck out for the town, Daemyn and Tora in tow. Ulani was sleeping on Daemyn's head, and to M.A.'s surprise, he didn't knock her off. Maybe they were coming to like each other? Heck, maybe they'd all even see the sun rise, if they were still awake by then.
She hit the dimly lit orange streets, smelling the salty air with relish. Was it always so refreshing here? In the distance, she could hear the faraway waves rolling in and out, but only when the sound was uninterrupted by a fellow walker on the street's footsteps. But then there were the voices of familiar people, the sound of battling -- so people were so active this late? Or early? She wandered towards the sounds, before one came close enough to her to catch her attention.
"Luffy!"
Luffy? Wasn't that Robin's Aipom? So she was awake too? Shrugging off the surprise, the brunette snuck quietly towards the bench, not totally sure that it was the red-head she knew (somewhat) or not. Five feet away, she could be pretty certain that it was. So, with a silent stealth that was usually unknown to Mary-Anne, she shot forwards, put a hand on Robin's shoulder, and -- "BOO!"

Just as Robin was about to get up and start her search with Raz and Brook she felt something land on her shoulder and a loud 'BOO' behind her. Naturally Robin and Brook did the only logical thing in that kind of situation. They both screamed bloody murder and jumped at least three feet away. Razputin who had been facing the other way, and was up high enough that he could see them approaching just started laughing at the other two.
Robin's heart seemed to be in her throat now and she couldn't seem to get enough air in her lungs as she glared slightly at the laughing Yanma and Mary Anne. "Oh, yeah that was so funny..." She grumbled. Finally catching her breath Robin bent down to pick up Brook, who upon being leveled with his trainers chest gave out a happy sigh fear forgotten. "So what are you guys doing up so late?"
Luffy meanwhile was busy chasing after the floating shiny napkin with more ducks and rolls. He was going much faster now since he had to catch up after knocking over that trash can. What the little Aipom didn't know was that the so called shiny napkin had gotten bored and had just gone back to its trainer. So in reality he was just getting lost and causing Robin to freak out. He did pause though when he heard some sort of demons shriek go through the air. He would have to be careful, what if there were demons around, who knows what else there could be?

Mazarin shoved his fingers into his ears. "If he's gonna go down at all, may as well take down your Scizor!" He shut his eyes tightly.
"MAZARIN, YOU MOTHER FU----" Kilik's roar was drowned out by a high pitched whine. The trainer fell to his knees in the sand, holding his hands over his ears. He saw the white flash from the flicker in his eyelids and could feel the ground shake beneath him. The Explosion attack was so loud that car alarms began to go off all around the city. A few windows shattered in their frames. . The tremor was so violent that two light poles fell from the street and shattered upon impact with the beach. Cars were flipped over onto their sides or roofs with their windshields busted right open. Sparks flew. When the ground stopped shaking, Kilik stood up slowly to survey the damage. Scizor was out cold, so he recalled her, and bit his lip. Luckily, his parents car appeared unharmed, which was parked near the Pokemon Center (which was also untouched). He put his hands on his head and wanted to scream. "Moron!" he barked at Mazarin, "Way to wake up the entire city!"
Mazarin scratched the back of his head after recalling his Shiftry and laughed. "Wow! That certainly packed quite a punch!" He clenched his fists excitedly, "That was the first time I'd used that before! But now it's time for round 2! So, c'mon out Banette!" He tossed a ball and a puppet-looking Pokemon emerged. It's mouth was twisted into a sneer smile and forced to stay that way, for it was zipped shut.
"Ugh...I'll use Bahamut!" Kilik tossed another ball, still a bit shaken up from Shiftry's Explosion. Sure, he had commanded Weezing to use Self-Destruct before, but that move didn't pack nearly as much power. The dragon emerged excitedly, swishing her tail around. She looked about, wondering what could've caused all the chaos. Maybe it was that silly looking creature in front of her. She tilted her head. "Ready, Flygon?"

As much as Kasiya had wanted to get some training done with Ada, she found herself spacing in and out and unable to focus on anything at all. Finally, a little bit before supper time she gave up and went back to the Pokemon Center. To her dismay Keegan still wasn't there, despite all the time she'd wasted that afternoon and she went off to the bathroom to wash up and settle herself down. It wasn't until she was repacking some of her things into her bag when she realized something terrible - she was going to a beach party tomorrow and she had no swimsuit! Now panicking, Kasiya searched the place frantically in case she had just dropped it somewhere, but no dice. After her search turned up nothing she stopped to think - and after a moment or so she realized that she had left it in the girl's change room on Cinnabar Island. "I can't believe it..."
A brief discussion with Nurse Joy informed her that there weren't any good places to shop for swim wear in Mauville and it was then that Kasiya decided to head to Slateport now, with or without Keegan. She left a message for him with the nurse and headed off, glad to at least be able to take Cycling Road now that her bike was fixed. The trip didn't take as long as she thought it would and she arrived at around 5 PM, eager to find herself and her Pokemon some supper. Once her crew was all fed and happy she ventured off towards the bazaar, but didn't find anything suitable there. One of the vendors pointed her in the direction of a store especially just for swimwear and other like apparel, and the girl made her way over rather quickly. Kasiya didn't have much money on her at all but she figured it would be enough to cover a new bathing suit. After about only twenty minutes she found something she really liked that also fit into her small budget. It was a lovely, shimmering green bikini (the colour not unlike her old one piece) and Kasiya was almost glad she'd needed a new one. This one was still a bit modest, which she considered to be a good thing since she was still only sixteen, and she quickly paid for her new suit before heading towards the Slateport Pokemon Center.
It didn't take long to find out that there were no free rooms left at all and that she would have to camp outside tonight. There were already a lot of people here and Kasiya found herself feeling a bit uneasy. Normally she was all right with large crowds of people but today just seemed different. She ventured down the beach a little, away from where everyone else seemed to be gathering. After a little while she let Ada out to keep her company. She knew that the Larvitar would appreciate the freedom as well as the attention, and Shocker had been hogging the spotlight pretty much all day. Trainer and Pokemon strolled along the beach, admiring the scenery. At one point, she saw a girl sitting beneath some trees, cuddling an adorable little Mudkip. She also had an Oddish by her side. Reminded of Levi, she began to make her way over to say hello, as she was always ready to make new friends, and if they had a Pokemon in common, it could make things that much easier.
