Ace xAngel I haven't either but..there was one night that..well I never knew until the next morning, that one had passed not too far from my home..and I was like, "Wha...??" So when I used to be scared of them..I used to just tell myself that..all I needed was a set of keys to any of the vehicles outside..just something enough that was fast enough for..heh, climbing into a ditch doesn't exactly give me alot of confidence of keeping me from being sucked up. I know! They always say, "Oh, just crawl into a ditch." And I'm like, "Oh ho, that's a good one!" You'll never see me crawling around during a tornado. I'll go kicking and screaming and flailing. smile Are there a lot of them where you live?

Well see, I live near the coast of eastern North Carolina..so if you watch the weather or even news when hurricane season comes around..ya know that everytime a hurricane comes to Florida, it curves about the ocean to the right and swings back left to NC.. >.< ..or just goes up the coast instead at times..*shrugs* So our coast is tore up b/c of storms..flooding..tornadoes..wowzers, o.o;;

Ace xAngel Gilwen Ace xAngel I used ta hate tornadoes..but now..I have a dream..to be a tornado chases..ya know, carry the camera with me as long as what I drive is pretty fast, heavy, and a 4-wheel drive..with good insurance of course, xp That's cool! I'm too chicken to do that, but it sounds awesome. I've never even seen a tornado, except on TV. eek I haven't either but..there was one night that..well I never knew until the next morning, that one had passed not too far from my home..and I was like, "Wha...??" So when I used to be scared of them..I used to just tell myself that..all I needed was a set of keys to any of the vehicles outside..just something enough that was fast enough for..heh, climbing into a ditch doesn't exactly give me alot of confidence of keeping me from being sucked up. *goes into physicist mode* Actually, most of the wind at the tornado's base is parallel to the ground. The reason they tell you to hide in a ditch is that it provides protection against the debris that gets caught in those parallel wind currents. In order for you to be sucked up, you would have to be a) incredibly light and airborne, or b) be unlucky enough to be directly in it's path and not know it. If b happens, I suggest you assume the brace position we refer to in the aerospace industry. Bend over, place your head between your knees, and kiss your butt goodbye. xd

blaugh - Rofl, that last part was a good one..for that's how we had to do it in school for our little 'practices'..ugh, those were intersesting.
I could understand the debris part..and well..I'm not exactly 'light'..oooh no..I'm way from that..so I guess I'm home free if a tornado does come, shweet, xp domokun
Anyways, I'mma heading on..it's almost 1am and..well all I've been basically doing my whole Spring Break is sleeping it away..so I'm going to keep my title.
God bless, and everyone have a good night, heart

I mean, when you are inside the strong ones, well, it's like a natural high. You can call me the crocodile hunter of tornadoes...

I know a person who can do great impressions of both Crocodile Dundee & the crocodile hunter..I mean sound 'just like' the guy..otherwise, it's fun to do so meself..which still sounds corny, >>;; Hm..unless it's a tornado that's (somehow) mis-shapen into a crocodile..oh yeah, I'm good.. domokun

They are a special breed that live only inside the tornado... Trust me, I know these things...
