Rosie found herself unable to continue. She wanted to reach out and grab a leaf, to keep pushing on. But she was always stopped. They say the past will always haunt you, in a good or bad way is unclear, but haunt you none the less. This was Rosies personal haunting. The unheard laughter. The blind smiles. Yubie thought she could put that all behind her. Becoming dull to everything she once had. But that is much harder said then done, expesialy when your to sweet to become bitter. And to ingaging to enjoy being alone. She missed her friends, a very natural reaction in a girl her age when she relises she is alone.

Xenon was writing in his small black notebook, his eyes tracing the lines of script as he wrote them. They glowed briefly as they narrowed, and flipped a few pages back. He adjusted a paragraph here, a sentence there... he seemed entirely intent on his work, but his glasses shone over and hiding his eyes, he seemed perfectly calm to any passer by.

Xen shut the note book as he past another person. His eyes, out of habit perhaps, sized them up half heartedly. He didn't often pay too much attention to other people when he was in a mind set like this, preparing himself for training, but it never hurt to pay close attention to detail. The girl seemed to be training in a manner similar to himself, though in a very different method. She had pink hair and dark skin....her eyes... Xenon's mellow expression didn't change, but he'd just noted something. The girl's eyes...they held a strange...

'Is she...blind?' Xenon showed no emotion, but for a moment his pace slowed. still, this was only for a moment, he quickly resumed his walking, headed toward his own appointed tree. 'How odd...that girl was most certainly not normal... was it a Kekke Genkai? Or...perhaps...' he blinked still apparently bored. 'No, best not to make premature assumptions, I don't know enough about curses or the more obscure Kekke Genkai to correctly diagnose... still.' he pulled out his note book again and scribbled down the traits he'd noted, perhaps he'd research it later... if the notion struck him. For now, on to training.

Rosies fist flug into the tree causing the branches to shutter dropping leafs. But she didn't have time to think about catching them, someone was watching her, scribbling notes about her. His presence, stuck out like a sore thumb in the calming scenery that was Oto's training grounds. She wanted nothing more then to turn around look him dead in the eye and yell at him for being nosy. But that wasn't the way Rosie operated, and he was gone soon enough to do his own thing, so Rosie really could have cared less. However she kept tabs on the child, she needed new friends, as much as she hated to admit it. Everyone she had known was gone, and having someone to be with would make time go a bit faster. She would engage him in conversation as soon as she finished. Assuming her creepy eyes, devlishly cute smile, and over all childish-demonic pressance didn't frighten him away.

Xenon hit two leaves that fell absently, his eyes dull. "Hmmm..." He stood at the base of the tree, his training regiment was going according schedule... but he still wasn't too far along, in fact, in his training as a whole, he wasn't even a sixth of the way through... still... he was certain he'd meet his deadline. He looked up at the tree his expression serious. 'The Genin Exams... they'll be more than just a promotion...they'll be my first real test as a Shinobi of Oto...I've completed a D-rank mission, true, but that's nothing too extraordinary... I need to be more than impressive... I need show myself as beyond any expectation for a fresh student...' he removed his white coat and glasses, 'I can't relent now...'

Xenon's hands flashed as he fell through the air, tumbling into finish, each leaf struck... he would continue to do this till he was satisfied... or rather when he was ready to continue on to the next phase...

Xenon had indeed already had a full morning, meeting Sanako, training Kimiko, (and himself) not to mention all the thoughts the former two had stirred. Thoughts of his past were necessary, just as his past was necessary to make him who he was... but they were still somewhat unwanted. They disrupted his focus as much as they could sometimes sharpen it. An unpredictable variable to say the least...

Xenon in truth, was sometimes an enigma even to himself, and on some level he was aware of it. One never seemed to be able to read him completely...but perhaps that was because he couldn't always read himself. Since the day his life had changed forever, he'd shed the child and become...something.

What he was even he wasn't entirely sure... what to call someone like himself. Narcissist was close he supposed but like many terms it failed to completely encompass him... He struck that last leaf and landed, his feet immeditaely taking him back up the side of the tree...

He landed yet again... successful.

The events that brought him to Oto, were actually rather varied. After the incident, after he'd awakened to his true self, casting off his ignorance and grasping the truth, he'd run for a long time. He'd run until he reached another village, and sought refuge there as a starving Orphan. He didn't stay there long however, he'd never had any intention to. The boy stayed for about three days, just long enough to regain his strength and set his priorities, before escaping the care of the family that had taken him in and vanishing into the countryside. He actually made his way through the fields of the land of rice for some time until he came across a road he recognized...

Xenon fell through the air once more, his fingers hitting each leaf in turn, but his eyes darted suddenly, two left and the ground was so close... he whipped his hands forth, striking the two at the last second and tumbling into a save...

Xenon had known from the start that he'd have to go to a ninja village, any one that would accept him preferably. Oto just happened to be the first he came across. Indeed, had he not recognized that road from long ago when his parents had taken him there, then he might not have come there at all. But he did, and he did. His arrival in Oto wasn't one of his proudest moments. He hadn't eaten well in some time and he collapsed at the gates, the guards contacting the nearby patrol...

Xen landed and took a somewhat pestered breath. He'd missed three that time...

The village had taken him in almost immediately after his questioning. After discovering his last name, they deduced correctly that he was from the rogue clan "Maboroshi" which had been scattered long ago. With this in mind the village accommodated him quite well, supplying him with a place to stay and enough food to live moderately, all under the agreement that he joined the Ninja student program. He was aware that they had their own reasons, but it was little things that made him grateful to the village. They didn't need to meet him half way, they could have forcefully took him as a weapon, fed him naught but bread and water...or perhaps maybe even thought him to much of a bother and killed him, sparing the possibility he'd some day become a threat....

Xenon sat on the branch taking a short breather, a very short breather. He tossed the leaves over his shoulder and flipped backwards after them, hitting each one before landing on the ground in a crouch.

Xen was inducted into a academy a year late, due to his arrival being a year past when he normally would have entered. There wasn't to great an age difference though, for the way he acted made him seem far older then people who were already in his age group, so it didn't really matter. Besides, there was also others who entered a year late for various reasons, even Kimiko due mostly to her father's reluctance to let "his little girl" go.

Xenon's stomach growled... he was getting hungry, and he'd forgot bring anything to eat with him today...he sighed. He'd go back and get somthing to eat in a while...

During his academy days, Xenon was a rather good student, learning everything he could, the boy often surprised his teachers at his aptitude in chakra control, as well as his almost alarming knowledge of the working of genjutsu. If the last few days hadn't been enough proof, his compacity for mastering jutsu was equally astounding. But this wasn't enough for him. There was someone like him in every graduating class, it wasn't anything too spectacular... besides what with this being one of the hubs for Uchiha, a genius/prodigy was something that came around a lot more often...

Xenon landed effortlessly this time, his hunger quashed for now. He put his hands into the pockets of his black pants as the abused leafs drifted down around him.

Ah yes, the Uchiha's. Xenon always gave chuckle when someone brought them up. Xenon, in his personal opinion, found the Uchiha to be somewhat of a cosmic joke. The reason for this being that, for all their supposed power, for all their supposed skill, they generally tended to get themselves killed, or went insane. The Uchiha's were blessed and cursed, with innate power, and that almost always lead to self destruction. Power was the ultimate test of character, and for one to be born with it made it all the more effective a test. Those who had not earned their power were often consumed by it, and Uchiha were a prime example of this.

Xenon completed yet another fall, and sprung back up into the tree, his chakra aided feet zipping him up the side with a now well practiced skill.

To put the Uchiha at a further disadvantage, they suffered a rich child's dilemma. If one has lived their whole lives with something, be it money or power, they can become handy capped, relying on this something, until such a time comes when they can't live without it. Some are consumed by this and hunger for more power, more and more, leading them to the fore mentioned madness or self destruction. Xenon would admit that they would be incredibly formidable should an Uchiha ever manage to cast off these shackles and emerge an undaunted master, but there were scance enough of those through the entire clans history, three maybe, that he was aware of, and only one of them from the clan's distant past before it's revival.

Xenon sat on the ground and touched three leaves as they fluttered down before him. He was sooo hungry now for some reason...he supposed he didn't have much of a meal this morning... add in all the training he'd already done... he sighed. "Okay...just three more successes alright... then we'll go eat. He patted his stomach.

His own clan was actually a rather interesting one...and in many ways mysterious. It's origins were known certainly, but the truth was, since the clan was scattered, it's many side branches spread throughout the world, no one knows too much about them. Even what exactly there Blood Limit was had become hazy... and personally, that was the way Xen liked it. If you're enemy didn't know about you they have a chance at underestimating you, and that was only good news in his book.

Xen twisted about at the wrong time and landed, his job only half done. He muttered something under his breath. He had to stop fooling around if he was ever going to make it to lunch... he got back up the trunk and snatched a handful of leaves. He'd already gotten used to it and he was not even half done with his speed training... that was probably a bad sign. Still, even if it got tedious, it didn't matter to him. This wasn't about entertainment, that part would come later, it was about growth, it was about mastering himself. and so he let those leaves go and dived after them...as he would do many more times after...
