I'm not really going to spend much money on Campaigning. Thousands, hundreds, millions, all of this could really be invested into something else. I will count on good old word of mouth. That and the fact that the Media and youtube loves recording/posting everything everywhere. Spend money on commercials? Please. Who watches those things and takes them seriously anymore anyway.
I sound crazy I know.

Those negative ad campaigns are a lot more effective than people realize.

Talon Those negative ad campaigns are a lot more effective than people realize. True. This isn't something that I like about Politics... It should not be a choice between the lesser of two evils. It should be about finding the best man... or woman for the job.

Talon Good luck changing the hearts and minds of the people, then. It's really not just me... Have you watched the ads across the States Lately? Just a handful of them are Negative. Albeit, the bigger ones are. Alaska and Delaware are pretty chill, but I suppose they are small. I don't know. I think people are really tired of Negativity, especially when half those ads lie.

I think about half the ads I've seen here that are campaign related have been negative. Mostly relating to the economy and 'So-and-so was supposed to save jobs in Columbus and they still went away, do you want them in the senate seat?'
Like you can blame a failing economy on one person trying to run things at a local level neutral

But there's only so much helping one person can do and the ads only highlight the negative. They don't showcase the jobs actually saved and/or created xd

Talon If you're not helping, you're hurting. the senate is broken. >_> BUT. In a good way. It's not balanced, but that gives equal representation of each state, which i guess is cool? kinda... hm... more based on traditional ideals than practicality though. it's sorta like having a queen/king/royalty. the idea that each state -needs- the same number of representatives is cool but really unfair in determining what the 'majority' of sentiment in the US is.

That's why we have a House of Representatives.

Talon That's why we have a House of Representatives. Which would be fine if the House and the Senate were in charge of the same things, but held separately... Or if the House could do something in spite of the Senate... The House should have a higher stance as it is a more accurate representation of the people, yet it's seen as the 'lower' house. Certain Senators are over powered, while others under.
