Diana took a seat opposite of Chris and glanced down at the papers in her hand and held a pen toward them.
She said, "I hear you were present when Achilles popped the question to Patroclus." She shrugged and smiled. "With an assist I understand from you and Eros but that's beside the point. The boys are overwhelmed with the planning stages so they left everything to Thetis, Cassandra's mother, and myself. The only thing Achilles insisted on ... was that as his 'brother-in-arms, he wants you to sing at the ceremony. He's heard you perform here and he said your voice is pleasing. Would you?"

Uh...do what now? Oh nonononono! I only do that for fun and food! I don't even sound that good! Surely there's some nymph or Goddess or something that could do better than me. I...I wouldn't even know how to go about it...

"It's very simple Chris." Diana smiled. "You choose a song that you think best fits the occasion, and you sing it during the ceremony. When we first began plans, his mother Thetis offered the sirens, nymphs, a slew of musical deities, but he and Patroclus both said no.
Diana pointed the pen at him with a light smile.
"They want you."

*A song that fits the occasion? Some type of warrior chant? A Greek epic? It's Raining Men? No, they would probably take that too literally.*
Well...yea. I guess. I'll have to think of something. Nothing that's been done a billion times. Do you know how many weddings have Phantom of the Opera music? Like...all of them. It's lame.

Diana patted his hand and jotted something down on her pad before she started to stand up.
"Thanks Chris, the boys will appreciate it, I'm certain. If it helps, this won't be a Christian style ceremony, a given seeing who the couple is. It'll be a Handfasting. More in tune with what the modernists call a new age marriage ceremony. Here..."
Diana placed a paper down in front of Chris which was basically a run-down of the average Handfasting.
"Perhaps that can help. Thank you again."
And Diana turned around and headed back for the table with all the wedding plans.

It took a LOT of explaining from Cassie to get Wally to comprehend the idea of a marriage between Achilles and Patroclus. Two boys. Sixteen year old boys. From ancient Greece.
Wally opened his mouth to try to argue the myriad of things that were either flat out wrong or a bad idea in regards to the space/time continuum, but closed it again. Hey, as long as his buddy Killer was happy, who was he to point out the possible collapse of a timeline?
"Well, okay, I'll be a part of it, but I'm not going to call it 'hand-fasting.' That sounds like something you can get expelled for being caught doing." Wally nodded over his bellybuster. "It sounds like things are happening pretty fast, and that's my specialty." He grinned.
The next topic Cassie broached was Trigon. Wally's smile faded.
"You know, I haven't even thought about Trigon since...that day...but last night I had the most vivid dream. The problem is, it totally faded away. I can't even remember what it was about now. But, wow, it was sweat city when I woke up."
Wally leaned in and took Cassie's hands. Just holding her made him feel better.
"So I got to thinking, maybe it was anxiety about asking Chris to forgive me, y'know? Along with that Chinese food. I mean, if Trigon were going to even be ABLE to try anything, I'm sure the magic teachers would know right away."
"What's that about the magic teachers?" Wally and Cassie looked up to see Diana, a stack of wedding catalogs in hand, walking by their table.
"Oh, nothing." Wally shrugged it off. No need to upset the teachers just because he had a bad dream. "Jeez, you guys are really taking this boy-wedding thing seriously!"
Diana smiled.
"This is a special circumstance. We don't usually condone the hasty marriages of our Junior classmen." She gave Wally an almost piercing stare.
"I-I wasn't thinking about getting married MYSELF! And certainly not to Cassie! Er, I mean, not that that wouldn't be great, it's just that, uh, uh....I would really like out of this conversation, please..."
Diana chuckled.
"It's all right, Wally. Don't be in a rush to grow up. It's not always as fun as it seems. Oh. I do hope that you will be attending the Wrestling Championship finals early next week. I hear that Headmistress Bloodgoode and Headmaster Yoda have made it a requirement for their student bodies. I'm not going to go that far, but I hope that Hero High will have a good showing with so many students from the rest of the district in attendance."
Wally nodded. It turned out that high school wrestling was nowhere near as cool as professional wrestling, but Killer and Cassie were on the team so he would be there with bells on and a Hero High banner held high.
"Achilles is going to stomp a mudhole in Prince Adam and walk it dry, ma'am!"
"Good! That's the sort of team spirit I want to hear!"

The weather along the island nof Maui, Hawaii could not be more perfect were it a result of the gifts from the gods. And as a matter of fact, it truly was just that.
The winds were gentle as they blew over the land, with just a hint of a chill so that the warmth brought no discomfort to the people. Yet it was not a gift for the tourists or even the citizens of Maui themselves. No, it was more for the benefit of the most special guests who were now assembled along the vast, grassy plain of the Road to Hana Turquoise Lagoon.
Human and god alike.
Many of the Olympian gods and goddesses had already assembled on this beautiful site, and yes, they were the guests of this land. As this land was under the rule of another god, he who himself is a guest for this special event, none other than the Hawaiian deity, Kāne Milohai, and his daughter, Pele. They watched with interest at the proceedings and conversed with the assemblage who deigned to approach them. The gentle weather, was their gift to the two who would be wed.
There was little need for added decor, save for the altar and dais where the ceremony would proceed, and the seats for each guest to watch on. The natural beauty was fine enough.
Eros walked about the site, scrutinizing it with his mother at his side. Eros was to be the patron, the one who would unite these two further in their eternal commitment, and his mother was to bear witness.
"When will the ceremony be?" Aphrodite asked with a soft purr to her tone, her hand gently on her son's shoulder.
Eros inspected the dais with strict attention, then smiled his approval and looked to his mother. "Noon." He answered. "When the sun is at its peak, and Apollo can watch on."

Cassie looked at Wally. She couldn't shake off the feeling of something being wrong... it was like that before Chris became Razor to... bad visions in the middle of the day... shaky feelings. For whatever reason Cassie didn't even feel comfortable having Wally hold her hand.
" Wally.... I ... uh? ... I gotta go. Preparing for the wedding and all."
Cassie paid for the food and left. She went to the far side of campus over to the dojo where she saw Coach Grayson training. He looked at her.
" Cassandra? Hey, what's wrong kiddo?" " I ... I don't know... just nothing feels right."
d**k picked up his towel to dry off some of the sweat off his face.
" Co'mon you can tell me.. once an Outsider always an Outsider."
Cassie smirked as d**k made a reference to her former internship.
" I just keep getting a bad feeling. Ever since Wally came back that Trigon's....well... I just don't think it's over. "
" Hey that Trigon thing was scary for everyone but if he was coming someone would've surely sensed something by now."
" I hope your right...and there's something else... but"
"Relationship problems? Been there before... wish I could be of more help but I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with those"
Cassie and d**k sat outside the dojo looking at the sky.

What I Did On My Christmas Vacation by Chris Powell
*After Diana asked him to sing at the wedding, Chris wolfed down his burger and hurried back to the dorm. He had work to do! He already knew what song he wanted to do and he wanted to play it on the guitar while he sang. He knew his guitar skills weren't up snuff so he needed practice. A lot of practice. Fortunately he had a week.
First, he sent Dani a text and gave her his apologies but he couldn't stay with her at Christmas. He would stay at school and practice for the wedding. Next, he sent Jen a text and asked if she would be his wedding date. The Billy spell was running strong again so his confusion over Cassie was gone. Little did Chris know, Donnie Blake had also sent Jen a text, asking if She Hulk would go with him to the wedding.
Next, Chris downloaded the lyrics and the song he wanted to play. Then he got down to work. For days, Chris practiced playing, singing, and singing and playing at the same time. He took some breaks so things wouldn't be a drag. He actually got some time on PS3 getting his a** whooped by Cassie.
Christmas came and Chris felt ready. Tomorrow would be the big day in Hawaii. That evening, Zinda had him over to Blackhawk's and fed him a turkey dinner in exchange for hearing the song. She applauded and whistled loudly and the two of them ate Christmas dinner at the bar. She regaled him with stories of Hero High when the Nazis invaded. Of course, she didn't realize he had been there but that was okay.
The next morning, Chris armored up and flew to Hawaii with his bag of stuff. He set down on the beach Cassie had picked. Boy was he nervous.*

The next week felt like a blur. Wonder Girl spent some time with the Outsiders. But for the most part Cassie was with her mom, Diana, and Thetis getting things ready for the wedding. Cassie didn't celebrate Christmas but did spend some time volunteering at the homeless shelter in town. She didn't speak to Wally much and kept having a bad feeling in her gut that she just couldn't shake. The day had finally arrived.... the last few touches for the reception and ceremony were being made. Cassie sat down in the sand on the beach looking out. She loved Hawaii.

"MOOOOOOVE!!!"
The bellowing roar sounded over the beach and heads turned and some bodies flew aside as a frantic Achilles dashed across the sands as if the hordes of hell were hot on his heels! But no, it was something worse! Much, MUCH worse -- at least by his reckoning!
Heads looked up the beach and a large swarm of giggling girls came charging across the beah, and Achilles was their target! The fifty daughters of King Thespius called out for him!
"Stop! Oh please, stop!"
"Yoooooo hooooo!"
"At least let us entertain you before you nuptials!"
More giggling, whistles and catcalls were clear as Achilles and his pursuers dashed right past Cassandra and her brother shouted angrily...
"If I ever find out who invited them....!?!"

Jen's Manic Holiday Break: Part 1
Jen had to no where to go other than Bruce's and she was avoiding him like he was poison. She didn't have much of a chance to meet Chris but she sent texts back and everytime she thought she saw him either Doc Samson, Coach Rogers or Donnie Blake would find her and chase.
"I do not want to Wrestle!" Was her chant to both Coach Rogers and Doc.
"I don't want to go on a date with you!" Was what she constantly said to the jock Donnie Blake. "How the heck did you get my number? You stalker!"
Christmas Day was cooked Goose and Betty in her element cooking for her two favourite men. Jen tried to help out but she ended up breaking plates since she insisted on being She-Hulk so she could threaten to beat up Bruce any time he mentioned Chris. Luckily for once Doc Samson was there and after only a little escape from the table to text Chris, she didn't hear anything. It was...fun...Jen was the most shocked about it.
Finally it came close to the wedding and Jen decided to go as She-Hulk to the wedding with Chris, just to get Donnie to back off. She had wanted to go as her smaller self since he seemed to not get so distracted but it wasn't possible. She packed an overnight bag and went to the airport with her cousin, Betty and Doc.
"Just so you know Cus, I'm going to be sitting with Chris."
"Just no hanky-panky!"
"Oh you're such a dork and dare I say it since it hasn't been said for 20 years, but you are a SQUARE!"
"This just reminds me of my teen days with Bruce, huh Leo." Betty said smiling at her friend. She was really looking forward to the wedding, she was hoping she could help give hints to Bruce to hurry forward their own.

*Chris stepped up next to Cassie and watched as fifty women chased Achilles up and down the beach.*
That's something you don't see everyday. And here I thought nothing scared him.
*Chris looked at Cassie.*
Looking lovely...er...nice, Cassie.

Achilles ran past Cassie... as did the fifty women hunting him down. They kicked up all sorts of sand leaving Cassie coughing in the dust.
" What the?! My outfit.."
Cassie's outfit was ruined . Cassie headed for the hotel nearby, Diana had booked the whole place for people attending the wedding. Cassie went into her room and took a shower, then brushed her hair and changed her clothes...
" I hope this looks okay.."
She then left her room to see if anyone else arrived.

*Chris saw Cassie come back in a new outfit and she looked absolutely gorgeous. He rapidly headed away from her and lost himself in the crowd of wedding guests. Jen would be around here somewhere...*
Aye, my father sent as an envoy for his court. POWELL! You big loser, you know who will be on my arm? Your gamma girl from the dance!
*Chris glared at Donnie. What was with this guy? First Cassie and now Jen? Well he couldn't start a brawl here.*
Shove your hammer in your craw, Donnie.
*Or...he could.*
