Eternal_PrinceOfFire "Alright, alright, but you never know who could be listening" Tony said. He felt a cool breeze blow on his shirt. Sometimes, when I'm sitting in my bedroom...
All ALONE... in the DARK...
I sometimes look up at the stars and wish I was them.
All ALONE... but in plain SIGHT...
But then I think of something...
.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.Sami rolled her eyes and slid off her roost, flipping upwards acrobatically onto the top most rungs of the monkey bars and balancing on one - as a gymnast would on the balance beam. "Oh, you're so paranoid," she told Tony playfully. Then, arching her back, she set her hands on the lower rungs and flipped onto the balustrade of the plastic and wood 'house' that was forever present on playgrounds before grabbing the bottom of the roof and twisting herself upwards to set her feet on the roof, sitting down on the heavy plastic. "You just need to loosen up," she said as she did this. One didn't know if she was showing off or not. Smiling, she patted the seat next to her, motioning for Tony to join her. When she spoke, it was soft, gentle - so that only Tony could hear - but playful. "Won't Tonton come out and play?" She laughed. .x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.
It's really strange, I think...
When they're up there...
They're all ALONE. In the DARK. But everyone can SEE them...
It's strange when I look up at them...
Because they kinda remind me of YOU.
"Look at the stars. Look at how they shine for you."

zfatal Claire glanced sidelong at Trist. Just a teenager, she thought. Which wasn't necessarily bad--the younger you were, the more easily you seemed to be able to grasp new concepts--to be open minded, you might say. This was not the problem, however. Trist seemed to be very mature, even for her age. Claire was not in a position to be picky, either. "No... and, and Beans-" Claire choked at this point, and tears flowed. Not rapidly, like flood-gates opened, but softly, delicately. Claire recovered her weak veil of composure. "No," she continued, "it was ... scary. And I don't even know who that man was ... but he saved me. You didn't know him at all...?" Trist felt bad, but she didn't panic when Claire started crying. Even adults cried, a hard fact she had learned when her sister died.
She shifted in her seat, thinking back to that man in the hotel. She hadn't recognized him then and she couldn't think who it could possibly have been. The force was pretty much shortened by now, and understaffed. Many officers had died just outside the station by the same woman she might never know had kidnapped Claire.
"I didn't know him," Trist said, shaking her head. "But we could ask at the department if anyone was sent to New Jersey..." As soon as she made the promise, she inwardly sighed. She'd have to go in after all. Maybe it was fated, but she was going in. "Although I doubt it... It's not within our jurisdiction."

((I guess you could start out at the bar. (I play the bartender NPC)...or you could talk to the Don, who is on the 10th floor of the mafia building was trying to listen in on Tony and Sami (even though Tony turned the communicator off)... or you could run into Tony and Sami in the park, but they have disguises on... or you could run into Lawliet who is no where particular at the moment.))

((Bumpity.))
((Oh, wait. I'm up, aren't I?))
Claire nodded absent-mindedly. One could tell she was slightly out of it because she was agreeing to something which did not warrant agreement. Anyway. Claire said no more, just sitting with eyes closed. The tears did not come again, although she made no move to wipe the preexisting ones away.

"Mmm....Rose" Anthony mumbled in his sleep.
Tony climbed up to where Sami was, but didn't do it in the same fashion. "Huh?" he said. He didn't notice Laura pass nearby.

Laura felt something familiar about the air, but ignored it. She kept walking and looking at the sky. It was a beautiful day.

Laura took a cab back to her house. She went to the basement and knocked on the door to Lawliet's section. "Hey lollypop, I gotta job for ya." She said. The door electronically opened. She walked in and put down the two pictures and the files. "Find them please." She muttered. "How may bounties are left on the board?" He asked her. "Why dose it matter?" She replied. "How many were there left after you left?" He asked again. "2..." She replied. "Your working yourself too much. It was completely full and cluttered this morning. Don't worry so much about him." Lawliet advised as he started pulling up some files. Laura sighed and walked out. She went to her room, took a shower, then took a nap. Lawliet looked at the pictures. "Hm... this may be slightly difficult. Let's see what I can find."
