"Stories about Roarke? do you kids ever want to hear about anything else?"
She sighed, pulled out a chair that was next to an old wooden harvest table and took a see. "Now lets see, what have you not heard yet?" She tapped at her lip, feining indecision to build up suspense. "Have I told you how Roarke first found the old Academy?"
Laudi glanced at Piper with a brief disinteresed stare. The only thing she cared about about was that she was female, and potenially a threat." She looked around at the current surroundings, not having really expected to ever been alowed outside the fortress.
Aella grunted. "It's hardly cheating if I am using what is available to me, is it? Plus, the stuff does that on it's own."
They staff, after having left Onyx's hands via a violent throw, traveled back to her, dragging a line in the sand. She stood it straight up in the sand for a third time, she didn't like it laying on the ground. "Well, now's as good a chance to test these bracers as any." She took off at a high speed, not yet comfortable with trying the top speed, racing around Onyx clipping him in the shoulder, or hip, unbalancing him and hopefully disorienting him.

Waether they had heard the story or not they all raced to the table and shook their heads in answer. They crouded around her, the woldf ears out and perked eagerly towards her.
Adso persisted, "How? I remember the academy! We were there for a while! How did he find...um...found...uh... the acadamy?" Adso's easr had drooped a little as e struggle dover grammar, but perked up again in a moment.

"Well, lets see." She cleared her throat for effect.
"Some time ago, when Roarke was only twelve years old he decided on a whim to leave his parants and embark on a journey. His mother and father begging him not to leave, for he was dealy loved and they wished for no harm to befall their son, as all parents should."
"And as always, the dragon Alaran would not be left behind. She followed Roarke, and would not leave his side. She thought, even at this time, that she was in love with the boy."

Zell wrinkled his nose. "How could a dragon love a man? its impossible to.. well you know.." He blushed furiously all of a sudden. and coughed. "Well its just weird! She should love another dragon!"
Kuro piped up. "Did he love her back?"

Zahara slanted Arthur a long look and shook her head, then rubbed one wrist lightly. "No, I think that's all the training I can handle for one day. Perhaps more tomorrow. Depends on how I'm feeling and if Sevilin shows up to do more lessons." She walked out of the battle area of the arena and over to the sidelines pulling her cloak back over her shoulders and fastening it and picking up the excess weapons. "I'm glad you've learned your lesson Arthur. In the future be sure to implement it. It will save your life, I assure you." Then gathering all her little toys and treasures she left the arena and went back upstairs to her room once again. A little while later she remembered it was about time to eat and she stood up and headed for the kitchen to make food for Sevilin and Zykariel. The sight of slaves in the kitchen gave her pause. "What the..." And then she remembered that she had no boys to feed anymore and she was back in the D'vinn's house. Well that was great! She didn't have to feed anyone anymore, in fact she could actually sit back and be served herself. Lovely. Except seh wasn't hungry right now so she decided to take a walk down to the stables and visit her nightmare and all the others as well.

"things are going well, got some foundations built, a well ready to go. but that's about all."
Wiping a bit of sweat off his brow, and a grin over at her.
"Sure, if you want. you can help make mortar, or help brick the walls of these homes, or help those doing the carpentry for supports and the like if you want. I know you don't mind a little hard work. and a couple of days, if your up to it, you can try adn saddle your horses for training if you want."
clipping him was only knocking him some off balance, which ment tryin gto keep himself from getting clipped..until he idly slipped his foot out in her running path. though also ready to catch her if she went flying, spreading his wings just a little bit.
Hey, speed was an advantage, but can be used agasint someone too.

She smiled at Kuro. "And that is one of the banes of free will. No, Roarke did not love her back. He cherished her as a close friend, but did not return her love in the ways she would have wanted. But that is a tail for another time."
"Roarke lived far the north of us here. Far, far to the north. The magi and oracle families had by this time become greatly seperated. My side of the family had hated his side of the family, and we grew ever further apart." She sighed. "Until at last, his family lived in a small community further north than any of us might have imagined, and my family resided in a catacom of caves with the spiders."
Aella had expected the tripping foot to come out, as it had occured to her that would be the easiest way to take advantage of her inablities with the bracers. She changed her course slightly by a few degress, stoping short at onyx's chest with a palm thrust,, shoving him backwards off his feet.
Well, 'stopping' wasn't really the right word. She had forgotten abut inertia. She couldn't stop so suddenly without more training, so when Onyx was shoved backwards, she fell and slid face first in the dirt.

"Well, it's a good start." Watching him a moment, tilting her head in that way she usually did when she was just watching him and more or less liking what she saw. But she was still a bit fidgety. The new mother in her was a bit at a loss without her baby in her arms. But a raise of eyebrows, he was going to let her do something? Oh well that was just fun wasn't it? Despite that she'd probably would get fussed out if her mother caught her, since Fianna apparently thought she could use a bit more rest. Hell, it was just a little dull pain, nothing to worry about. "Pride comes in the work, doesn't it? Even you're out here." But yes a smile at his little news. Yay no more horse restrictions. "Gee isn't that sweet of you A'mael, can I climb trees too?"

A slight snicker.
"that's pushing it. we'll wait on the trees. and of course pride is in the workmanship."
Malik wasn't fidgety, but then again judge by the walling, he was rationalizing it out into the work. he was protecting his son's interest and his well being in the building. Not that he didn't stop and glance toward the windows and such from time to time. and of course keeping a time in his head...yes he was going to but arthur through the wringer too today.
Onyx's wings helped buffet him from teh force, acting as drag so he only slid back maybe four feet on his claws..and Aella didn't hit the dirt for more than a few seconds before Onyx had lifted her up. After all, sliding on teh dirt on youe face was a good way to get a broken face. especially if you landed on your nose.

"oh, we didn't hate each other personally. It was an old family hate. Oracles you see, do not like getting close to people. We see their deaths, and it is sad. Seeing the demise of each and every one of your family tears at your soul, makes your heart fade into cruelty. They developed a hate for the magi to distance themselves. The magi hated the oracles because of this hate."
"We avoided each toher, because magi have a habit of falling in love oracles. Oracles avoided magi because it was painful to see all the terrible things that would happen to them. Distance lessened the pain."
"So Alaran and Roarke started on their long, long journey. Roarke was determined to foind soemthing new to contribute to the world of magic. He was always rather helpful you see, but never like using magic itself."
Uppercut into Onyx's jaw.
She cringed. "Whoops, sorry." and whipped at the blood that trickled from her nose. It wasn't broken, just irritaed. The constant work in the sand dried out her sinuses, made her more prone to nosebleeds. "Yeah, I'm fine. Um...did I hurt you?"

Onyx's head snapped back, and he rubbed his jaw some.
"Nah. I've been through worse. one time, I accidentally walked in on one of the kelves take a shower..and got magic missled through the door. now that stung."
A light chuckle.
"And I flirted alot, so I'm used to a woman beating around my head and face. I think Moonstone kept a count once. I think he averaged that I got slapped at least thirteen times in one evening."
A grin.
"Neverminding the boyfriend's fighting."

"Oh pity..." Hey she had been estranged from trees for more than a year now and the wood elf in her wanted to scramble up one and laze in the branches all day long, in fact make that a few days total. But her eyes went over to what they were indeed working on, "You've gotten quite a lot done haven't you?" Though she did notice the glancing back at home, and could pretty much pick up what was going on in his head through bond patterns. "I don't know how she expects me to 'get out and enjoy myself' if I just feel overly worried and what not. I don't know if it's supposed to be like this or if it's just he Underdark that's making me more so nervous." Wrapping her arms around herself for the moment, quick, distract yourself. "I guess this means you'll have Broog taking off all those collars, right?"

Meilikki laughed. "Yes, butterflies."
"Of course he did. He found amny things. Most of which were rocks and dirt and dirty water. Knawed corpses and brittle bones." She waited a moment. "And a seed."
Nervouse chuckled, "Okay then, good. I'd not want to injure." She smeared more blood down the back of her hand. "you um, flirted alot, huh?"
