What?
The king of England wasn't ignorant. Just greedy. Our forefathers also weren't ignorant. They just hated being treated as something less than British citizens.

more than half of the common man in America have not gotten at least basic organized education and as we become more dependent on the technology that makes life easier but we shall still reign supreme as the most obese country in the world yay!! we got an achievement.

But, the majority of American citizens have a high school diploma. neutral And we're not the only nation with technology or an obesity problem.

Well, in 2009 we were at almost 70% graduation rate. That's a majority.

I went to a public school, but I can't remember too many kids dropping out. A few girls were forced to because they got knocked up and didn't want to terminate their pregnancies, a few managed to stay even though they were at the end of their third trimester while walking across the stage to get their diplomas. Orz
Some of the girls in our district, I tell ya....
But overall, our dropout rate wasn't too bad.
