Aled laughed, making sure Shiori was still on her feet. "Don't tell me you would enjoy drinking wine with me." he spoke with a touch of sadness and disappointment in his voice.

"I already did. Some of the DNA matches." Watari replied, allowing the others to see the slide on the monitor. "But not all. If we could get a blood sample from both Konton and from Aoikage... I think we'd have better results."

"Demon." Kazuhiko shook his head adamantly. "I'm going to kill him."
He had a few things in mind on how he could get strong enough to do so.
Shiori shook her head. "I wouldn't mind drinking with you at all." she admitted quickly, glancing to the floor before looking up at him again. "If... if you really want to drink with me... I doubt I could drink too much..."
Then again, remembering how she drank the bottle before...

But Watari shook his head, "I'm not SURE that Aoki is a demon. His clones appear to be, but the true Aoki may be as normal as any of us."

Aled nodded, "Then we'll make plans for it, Shiori. After you're feeling a bit better that is. While wine will make you feel good temporarily, the after effects may be a bit much."

Kazuhiko frowned, but just stared at the spot where the clone had dissolved warily.
"Watari-kun has a point." Yuki agreed, looking up. "The real question is how many clones are we going to have to face----and separately, or all at once?"
Shiori stuck out her tongue. "I've been hungover before---I know my limit!" she chided him. "I didn't say I've never drank BEFORE, just that I don't do so OFTEN."

"If Konton knows that we've figured it out..." Po-ar reasoned softly. "Then he'll unleash them all at once, I think."
Watari nodded. "I agree. He's kept them in reserve, no doubt, because we didn't know."

"Well then we're screwed." Kazuhiko announced, "Because he's spying on us right now like he has been on and off the past few hours. I think. I can't be sure, but something doesn't feel right." he protested. "I need to be grown up and strong, Otousan..."
Shiori shook her head. "I've had a bit of cheap rice wine here and there while I've been sick. I know my limit. Three and a half drinks." she told him with a sigh. "After that, I get sick."

"I know a way, but it might take a few days..." Kazuhiko sat on the edge of a counter, swinging his legs idly. "And I don't think you would like it..."
Shiori shook her head as well. "But isn't that for me to decide?" she challenged him. "You're not my father. You're just the Ou. Technically, if I wanted to, I could go on without treatment and you couldn't force me to do otherwise. A few drinks won't hurt me, so long as you don't try to get me wasted." she poked a ticklish spot.
But she was smiling, even if it was just a little bit.

"You'd have to spend years alone, Kazu-kun." Trunks spoke up, knowing exactly what the boy thought. "Years. One day here is a year there... and there's nothing there to occupy yourself with except for training."
Ashuri nodded, "And it would be hard, body and ki training."

Kazuhiko frowned. "...Maybe the Fae know of something then." he mused quietly. "But if not, that's the only choice we have, right?"
Shiori shoved Aled violently, wrinkling her nose. "Whine?!! I don't whine! If anyone whines it would be you---awww, I've got a boo-boo.." she teased back "My name is Aled, and I'm mad because the maid won't sleep with me!" she mocked, pouting.
She had almost knocked the Ou over; it was surprising the woman had any strength at all. She seemed so fragile.
She continued onward, crossing her arms smugly.
Guess she wasn't so off her game after all.
She could still fling the insults.
Aled couldn't win this one.

"Not necessarily." Watari replied with a slight smirk.
Po-ar frowned, "Watari-kun...."
"Konton was able to bend time and space to age Aoikage, ne? We could do the same... I think..." the scientist replied. "But I'd need details on how he did it. What sort of machine he used. And for that, we'd need an insider."

But Aled started laughing, standing in the middle of the hall.
He smiled, "Well, I have made that complaint on one recent occasion." the Ou replied, that smile turning to a smirk as he walked forward, past what he could imagine was a confused Shiori.

No.
Shocked?
To say the least.
Shiori flushed the deepest red Aled had seen her go yet, gaping as he walked past.
What the hell did she say to THAT??
She simply stood where she was, watching him for a few moments before looking out a window.
She went to say something, but for the second time in less than a half hour she found herself speechless.
s**t, she was wrong. Aled had won this one after all.

"How would we do that?" Kazuhiko frowned. "Unless... Okaasan's there, and I can still communicate with her." he suggested. "We could use her."

The Ou turned slightly, "Are you coming, Shiori?" he asked, knowing that the woman was, no doubt, hungry.

"But Konton can block that ability, ne?" Watari added. "We need someone else to go into Konton's midst."
Hapushi smirked, "Good thing the demon can't see us right now." she added helpfully, jerking a thumb at her computer.
The entire palace was in a white-out zone.
Nothing could get in or out, not even the demon's magic.
"This won't last long, but I'd lay your plans now if you can."

Kazuhiko shrugged. "I could do it." he suggested. "I'm the only one who can get there right now anyhow, right...? Unless Otousan and I meet Aoki at the mountains... But we would have to be extra, extra careful..."
Part of him almost bet the demon king would have no problems using the same technology on Kazuhiko himself, but that had its own circumstances and pitfalls.
For instance, the possibility of being enslaved to Konton wasn't something the boy was really looking forward to.
"It would be nice if we had a Korred." he sighed after a while. "Masters of illusion. Maybe Fir can help... but... then again, what about the Rats?" he mused to himself, frowning. "Hm...."
Shiori quickly caught up, and even brushed by him, unable to meet his gaze. Sanguine was a great color on her...
Especially given how sickly she'd been looking before, it was nice to have some color in her cheeks.
She still couldn't speak, although she paused for a moment further down to catch her breath.
Rushed a bit too quickly.
Damnit.
She glanced at him, eyes meeting for a moment shyly. She went to say something, but instead bit her lip, shaking her head.
She only blushed again and looked away quickly, picking at her nails.
"If you were any good, you wouldn't have to ask that question." she reclaimed her footing, smirking at her feet.
She was pretty certain he didn't expect her to take it THAT way, but she had to keep one step ahead of him...
Or maybe a half-step. He was proving to be a formidable opponent.
