"I think I sorta did. You scared me a bit." Shiori admitted. "For the Ou of all people to come to me...ME, of all people... didn't seem to make much sense."
She pulled him closer, smiling softly. "I guess I don't have very much to be afraid of, do I?"

Yuki nodded. "He's a bit creepy." she admitted. "Not even him so much as his eyes.... I feel utterly transparent when the kid talks to me."
Kazuhiko had a way of making everyone feel that way though.
"He seems very gifted though.."

"That is strange." Yuki frowned. "I wonder what happened...? Perhaps his mother's abilities? Have you had much time to study her?"

Shiori bit her lip. "And what if I don't last long enough to be cured?" she asked quietly, tilting her head. "Then what?"

Shiori smiled sadly. "How could you promise something like that?" she shook her head. "That sort of thing is out of our control... We can't stop death."
But her eyes noticed the odd secretive, knowing look in Aled's, tilting her head to gauge him silently. "Can we? You know something... How? What's your secret??"

Yuki nodded. "I've never met her... but... if Kazuhiko's anything like her, I'm sure she could be intimidating. What is she like?? No one's seen her... only rumours... I hear she's pretty, for being an alien."

Shiori tilted her head. "So... we might not even need to go to Earth then?" she asked quietly, hopefully.
She wasn't exactly the most keen of traveling, although it intrigued her. She was a bit worried about crashes, and keeping her feet on the ground.
Or somewhere stable.
"It could probably heal me close enough to healthy I'd have a chance at beating it, at the very least." she mused.
Kazuhiko was right to choose Shiori for him---well, perhaps 'choose' wasn't the right word. But he definitely had an eye for matching puzzle pieces, so to speak.
Shiori was just as afraid of dying as Aled was, and she was just as stubborn about admitting it.

Yuki smiled. "Sounds like his type." she mused quietly. "You can certainly see where Kazu-kun gets it. Is she human?"

"Fae?" Yuki wrinkled her nose, although she was curious. "What a strange name for a group of peoples.... although I suppose Tarnbjin would sound strange as well. Hm.. Perhaps Kazu-kun can help us expand on that also. Didn't you say one of her relatives worked here as a servant also??"
"He's the one that's almost done with the holy weapon." the boy peeked his head in. "What happened Mizu-san?? Snowball??"
"Snowball??" Yuki blinked.
"Well... Water and snow. Similar but in different states. Kinda like you." he grinned. "But I hear you were talking about the fae...? OHOHOHOH do you wanna do tests on me??" he blinked at Watari, grinning. "I can bring everyone back here almost now..."

Shiori smiled. "Youkatta... Although I suppose seeing space one of these days might be nice." she murmured, inadvertently glancing to the ceiling. "To be in the middle of all those stars...! But I think I want to make sure I live first." she decided with a nod. "So... um... what should I wear...?" she blushed brightly, re buttoning a few buttons on Watari's lab coat. "Yare yare... this won't do...! What do I have to do today?? It looks like my job's interrupted again."

Kazuhiko nodded, the upper half of his body floating around, portals moving with him.
All the while, he was hanging upside down, one of his favorite things to do.
"So what do you and Avalanche here have to do?" he tilted his head, trying out new nicknames. "Snowflake... nah... Maybe Avalanche...Snowdrift... Snowcone? Hnn..."
Yuki just chuckled, shaking her head.
"If I call you Avalanche, when I see you, I can just scream AVALANNNNNCHEE!!! and run REALLY fast..." he giggled.
The woman closed one eye, wincing slightly. "Yare yare, you're loud... I bet you really COULD cause one."
Kazuhiko nodded. "I'm gonna try one of these days." he whispered secretly. "I wanna find out."

Shiori took the dress, looking it over and nodding in approval. "I suppose it'll do." she agreed, before stripping and changing.
She was blushing, but she was quick about it. "Not like you didn't just see me naked five minutes ago." she muttered, watching her feet the entire time. She couldn't quite make eye contact. "I'm not that hurt, though, honestly... Just a bit sick now."

But at this Eara chuckled, biting her lip before yelping.
The tattoos faded a bit, but only for a moment.
"I'll make you break your promise the same time I'm breaking you." she kissed him deeply, "But that will have to be another time. I'm sure She would want to be more involved than this little impromptu moment of ours..."
She grabbed him somewhere somewhat unexpected, kissing him again as she pulled him close.

Kazuhiko peeked in from his portal onto Tarnbsei. "Super DUPER careful!" he echoed, "Hey, where's Auntie Eara and Fir???"
Uhoh.

Shiori just raised an eyebrow, looking at Aled as if he was a touch funny in the head.
"What other sickness do I have?" she reminded gently.

Kazuhiko nodded. "Have to go to the middle of nowhere where no one and nothing lives but spirits." he smiled. "One day, anyhow. It'll be important. Maybe soon?"
He could see it in his mind's eye.
What did avalanches have to do with anything??
He wasn't sure, but something told him it would be important.
"So how do you gather blood? Is it gonna hurt?"
