 Grad dress attempt No. 1
Made with blue silk and gathered sleeves. Not poofy ones. I can't rock poofy ones.
Think the Japanese flair is too much? I am going to Japan this year.. but I don't want to come off like an otaku. Nuthin against them.. just the anime club at my school is... creepy
I might have to sacrifice showing off my bust for this gown.. but it would be comfortable!
Whaddy'all think?

 Grad dress attempt no. 2
Satin purple material with black lace and decorative belt... shorter, worried that the lace hip detail will make me look to hip-y.. I've never worn a similar dress before so I don't know how it will look Too much boob? My parents might not approve.. but meh Though it will be made by my grandma..
Easy fix: instead of separate cups, make them overlapping. There, problem solved.
Adore the colors It's short.. though Wear with black gloves? Purple is my favorite color.. A bit western..
Better? Worse? The same?

I really like the first one! It seems very flattering. I say, go with the second one if you uh... "have what it takes". LOL. (By that I mean like... The body.)
They're both great though! Be confident in which ever one you choose! (If you do pick the purple one, wear the black gloves!)
ROBOT UNICORN ATTACK - 56K! WOOO LOL.

The photos are about 2 years old.. but I'm basically the exact same.. a little more boob though, a tad more height. I'm carrying about the same amount of weight, though. Maybe a bit less. My one issue is the fat on my hips can catch weirdly on dresses.. I either have to pull in the waist to balance it or find a good quality dress.. I'm worried the blue one won't sit well. The purple one has the hip detail to hide it.. I just don't want it to look like I have huge hips.. but that's all in the tailoring..

I like the color scheme of the second one. Looks very awesome, especially with black gloves.
The first one has a bit of a classical history feel to me; like Athenian nobility, so I like it very much as well.
I have no idea about what you can choose... I can barely make it past the confusion of deciding what to wear any regular day.

Here's the other two dresses I've had in my head for a while. Neither of them are real contenders to be worn to grad, however. I love them.. but they just don't seem to fit.
I have one or two more I'll draw tonight.. then we'll see.
Oh, my friend told me I could definitely rock the purple dress^^ We just have to get it by the extremely conservative mom vote.. It''ll probably be overlapping cups afterall.. but at least I can wear a proper bra with it then!
I don't bother with everyday.. that's just random pairings from my wardrobe.. but I figure I should get into the spirit of grad especially since we have to parade around in front of anyone
The problem is I have no one to impress but myself. Even the friends that will be there aren't the ones who flip out when I put together an amazing outfit.. sigh
I'm sorely tempted to wear the purple one with a messy 'do and tramp makeup.. it reminds me of a wile west brother dress.. I think it has to be the colors since nothing else really relates. Pretty much, I want to be a slut that day. Too bad it's a family event..
I'mma go see if I can overlap the cups and see if that still looks good.. guess it's a sweetheat neckline afterall.

Celeste, definitely the purple one. I think it would suit you. Black gloves would look good with it too, but stick with longer elbow length ones. It would look more classier.
Also, just curious what type of shoes you would be wearing with it?

Fixed version of the purple.. bad fix, but these are quick drawings, thus no saving in separate layers. It's a lot less slutty, anyhow.
I'm not sure if I want the longer ones, though. Wrist-high lace ones, or those weird ones that look like you dipped your hand in paint could make the look a lot more playful. Elegant is good.. but I want a funner look I guess.. We dance for hours after our grad, so elegant isn't always better. It'd be a good way to reuse the look, though.
I think it would suit me too! It's look great in pictures, anyway. I'm going to go on a shoe shopping spree once I get the fabric. Truthfully I don't know what I'll get. I have a tendency towards booties, but I'll probably bring a second pair of dancing shoes.. Or just get comfy low ones.. but then I sacrifice height.
It's a good excuse to buy shoes anyway.. so yeah, probably booties, most likely black since purple will be hard to find. Not hooker boots though.

Oh, I like the finger dipped glove idea. I think that would look fierce.
Booties sound good. Especially if you are dancing, then you probably don't want to wear anything fancy with like a freaking 8 inch heel. XD
Most of the time girls just take off their shoes anyways when they hit the dance floor, so I guess the shoes aren't the most important factor anyways.
