Great. That was my first time going to such a huge anime exposition and boy was it worth it. There were cosplayers everywhere! I tried to catch them all, but the rocks I picked up weren't working well as Pokeballs (sticks didn't work either...). My favorite part had to be meeting the voice actors of my favorite shows. I met the voice for Spike from Cowboy Beebop, Ed from Full Metal, and the Major from Ghost in the Shell. I also got to see what it's like to voice act, though I didn't get picked to try... cry
Edit: When Mike's back, I think it's his turn as Bugsy.
I fear Bugsy's wrath. *hides*

Did you cosplay yourself? sweatdrop No, I didn't. I just can't find a character/costume that I'd be comfortable with. So, I simply wore my Narutard gear and dressed as a fan rather than a character. I know, I'm lame. But, I'd like to say I had fun despite my lack of contribution. Maybe at my next convention I'll dress up as a random trainer. I just wish I had friends who I could cosplay with... Edit: Also, the guy who does Ed's voice is really funny. And he hates being called short!

Mikallen Willow, I played my friend in a battle, and Scallop solo'd 5 of his Pokemon. xD I had to battle him again just to see the rest of my team in 3-D And by the way, Napalm Jr. looks bad a**. Anna > Napalm Jr. She's so pretty. ;-;

Speaking of them.. I'm having a crappy time finding Magby or Elekid. I've gone to the routes on Serebii (204-South for Elekid, Stark Mountain for Magby) and can't find any... Are they that rare? I only wanted to get the Magmarizer/Electrizer. I've got FireRed inserted so Elekid should be easier to find ( in the Valley Windworks). Too bad I don't have LeafGreen.

Took me 4 hours to find a Magby with the Magmarizer.
Let's hope it takes you less.

sweatdrop Four Hours? Man that sucks.
My strategy is to use Butterfree since compound eyes gives you a better chance of finding an enemy with items. And then frisk it with my Banette. If it doesn't have the item I'll scream and then try again.
Though I heard with Static you're more likely to find an electric pokemon so I might have to search out elekid with one of those... but then I won't have Compoundeyes. Alas a sad trade off.
This whole thing reminds me of the Lucky Egg Chansey business I went through in FR. Man I searched for like a week and a half for 1/2-1 hour a day for that crap. Thank goodness for the Emerald glitch so I could copy it before I sent the egg over to Diamond.
Edit: Aww crap! Do I have to have LeafGreen inserted to even see Magby on the route? Or can it be seen on some of them without it? The labeling is confusing me. I don't have LG... But my friend does. Maybe I can borrow it for a while.

You need LeafGreen in the DS to find Magby, without it you can't find one. So you might have to borrow your friend's.

Alas I shall just have to go for the Elekid then. But I'll be able to find one eventually.
Oh, and happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans!

Dragon Scales are much easier to get than Elelkid/Magby. Yay for them. Kindgra has always been one of my favorite pokemon.

And you know, you get a Lucky Egg for completing a task after you've finished the main storyline in Pokemon Gale of Darkness, and it's really not that hard at all. I'm like a half hour's playtime away from having yet another one. whee
In other news, I caught a shiny Tentacruel in my Diamond last night. Only 245 hours of gameplay later!
