Tony sighed. He undid his suit jacket and pulled it off. He put it down with Sami's trenchcoat. He fixed his tie and then walked over to where Sami was. "Are you serious? I'm not getting up there" he said.

Tony gave Sami a taunting-me-won't-work kind of look. "Oh, really?" he stated.

Tony rolled his eyes again. "Fine..." he said and climbed up, though not at nimbly as Sami. "Oh, and you may want to keep the 'torture' thing down just a bit" he muttered to her.

The bartender picked up the phone. "Hello?" He asked.

Laura started walking back along the lonely alleyways. "Why do I fell so... lonely? That isn't like me at all... It's almost like I have the feeling that... nah." She said. She shook her head and kept going.

((Aww~ *hugs* I hope you feel better!))

Claire followed Trist into the cab, having taken two bites of her hotdog. Being kidnapped, tended to cause you to lose your appetite. The woman was very solemn and reflective, it seemed, but her manner and gestures did not suggest stand-offish behavior.

After a time of sitting in the car quietly, Claire mumbled something incoherently soft to Trist. Realizing this, she repeated herself, just slightly more loudly:

"I never thought something like this would happen to me."

It wasn't a question or anything very serious. Just a general realization, which Claire decided to share with Trist. Apparently, Claire felt like she needed to talk about it. Who wouldn't? But Claire had chosen to tell Trist about it. This signified either trust, or a need greater than Trist realized to speak.

Claire didn't seem very talkative, on the contrary, however.

Claire glanced sidelong at Trist. Just a teenager, she thought. Which wasn't necessarily bad--the younger you were, the more easily you seemed to be able to grasp new concepts--to be open minded, you might say. This was not the problem, however. Trist seemed to be very mature, even for her age. Claire was not in a position to be picky, either.

"No... and, and Beans-" Claire choked at this point, and tears flowed. Not rapidly, like flood-gates opened, but softly, delicately.

Claire recovered her weak veil of composure. "No," she continued, "it was ... scary. And I don't even know who that man was ... but he saved me. You didn't know him at all...?"

((Right..))

Jasmine shrugged at Vincent's retort. She hadn't really listened, either. "Here you go, buddy," she said, dropping a card on a nearby end table. It said, Get Well Soon. There was nothing apparently wrong with it. "So," Jasmine said, sitting down in a chair--well out of reach of the bed. "Anything new happening? Any interesting information? C'mon, old buddy old pal," she said teasingly, obviously smug--"What's the scoop?"
