Next was his sister's most liked of the twelve. The rabbit. It was the fourth and represented both east and February. Kiketsu never cared much for this seal. His mind always viewed rabbits as timid little that get eaten by hawks, foxes and other predators. It didn't really seem to fit in with jutsus. Still perhaps there was some technique out there that this seal could be used in.
He pushed his fingers together, trying create the sign with his fingers. It looked simple enough. It was this underestimation though that led to Kiketsu making the seal upside down.

Unlocking his fingers, the snake like youth tried again, but instead moved his hands to quickly and hurt his pinky finger. He didn't cry out in pain and instead just shook his hand and rubbed the hurt appendage. Fate would make it that his sister's most favorite seal would be one to give him trouble. Kiketsu remembered much time she practiced that one sign. She was an expert when it came to the hare and a few others.
If only Kiketsu had gotten that skill too. Well one couldn't grieve about 'haves' and 'have nots' at the moment. If his older sibling could have gotten it, then so could he. The boy put his fingers together again for another try.

Batosai read through the chapter again, trying to make sense of it all. As he read on, he slowly learned what jutsus were and how they can be performed. Batosai felt eager to begin his learning on these techniques as he felt very confident of both his knowledge and potential. Batosai flipped throught out the pages until the reached a certain point in the chapter. Batosai then began to read about advanced jutsus.

As advanced as these jutsus were described in the textbook, it seemed to be very simple for Batosai to understand. As he read about advanced jutsus he learned about three thing. First: The more advanced jutsus are, the more chakra is needed to perform this jutsus. Second: That advanced jutsus are for more experienced ninja, like jounins and ANBU. Third: These jutsus are highly dangerous for ninja without the proper experience or training, so trying this at his level Batosai might be seriously injured.
Feeling curious on how to perform these jutsu, Batosai flipped the page over to the next chapter. Batosai began from the top of the page, Chapter 3: Chakra Seals, and read on from there.

"The right pink, the left index..." Kiketsu began to think as he put his together again. His eyes pictured just how Midoru used to do it. She always had a fluidity and grace in doing it. Just like a hare. Yet she wasn't timid like a rabbit. Not to Kiketsu's recollection. If anything, perhaps more like a tiger. Well she wasn't of much relevance anymore. Kiketsu had gotten the hand sign.
His lime eye glared at his hands. They had the seal correct, albeit missing the fluid motions of his elder sibling. Still, he had accomplished the hare seal. For now that would be enough.

Batosai read on about chakra seals. So far in the pages, Batosai already knew about as he read his from the scrolls at the temple. He continued to read, hoping to know a bit more information in these textbook. As he finished the chapter on chakra seals, Batosai felt a little unpaticient as he felt like this was a waste of his time. Batosai took a few seconds to take his eyes of the pages and look at the others progress. He noticed that Hiru was way ahead of him, and this pissed Batosai off. To take his mind off hurting Hiru, he put his eyes back on focusing on the pages. He then got somewhat of an idea in his head. "I can't get it out of my head but what those other elements are like and done." Batosai wondered as he flipped back to chapter 1 and began to read on more these unique elements. (wood, bug, etc.)

The next seal was one that Kiketsu liked. Tatsu, the dragon seal. The fifth sign hailed over East-Southeast and the month of March. Dragon's were something of legend that would always marvel kids. The snake like youth was no different. There was something mystifying and marveling about dragons. Most of all it was the power they had.
It was thrilling enough that Kiketsu didn't take much of glance at the hand sign. His hands cupped together, with the pinky's extended downwards. Thumbs crossed and viola! A dragon sign that a chunnin would be proud to see. It was a little troublesome, but with some practice it would become easier. The youth could not wait to use that seal for a jutsu.

Kiketsu turned the next page to see another delightful seal. Number six was Mi of the snake sign. Now his mind had already found his two favorite seals. Dragons to some degree were like snakes. Or perhaps it was better to say serpents were close to dragons. Either way they both were related and so were the signs. It was almost cupping your hands together.
Kiketsu did it with ease as he read more about the seal. It was assigned the month of April and hailed in the South-Southeast. It was also associated with earth elements. Well maybe there would be a reason to learn some earth jutsu now.

Batosai immediatly understood the difference of each affinity. Each one he read more about, the more amazed he got. Somehow, the textbook was like some book of infinte knowledge. Batosai took his eyes of the book for a moment to collect his thoughts. Batosai slowly turned through the pages until it came to forbidden jutsus.

Batosai read on through the pages. But unfortuately couldn't understand anything about it. "Why would jutsus become fobidden? They couldn't be that bad...could they?" Batosai asked himself over and over again as he searched for the answer of his questions. He read and read until he reached the end of the chapter. Batosai not satified, turned it back to the beginning to see if he was missing anything important.

Hiru noticed cassie-sensei was most likely busy watching the other kids. So, instead of just wasting his time, he thought he'd give the dragon seal one more try. He was getting really tired of reading those "thick" textbooks. He watched the drawing of the hands, how they melded so perfectly to create a mythical shape, and then, after having mesmerized as well as he could how it's supposed to be done, he gave it one good try.
