Dryfolius Well err... what are the new units they are getting in the new codex, any one know? New units; Sniper drones,marker light drones,Commander Shadow Sun,Ethereal special guy and body gaurd,vespid.May be more but I haven't seen them. New models, All of the above plus;Stealth suits,plastic Skyray,Tetras,Crisis suits,Ethreals and crisis commanders.Again there may be more.

Edit there, I beleive we're getting Piranhas, not Tetras. Although I won't complain if we get both.

I personally find Tetras rather useless. Pirannas on the other hand, are exactly what the Tau need.

Reddemon Check forge world. The sky ray is labeled as no longer aviable Ah yes, that's because Sky Rays are much like the Piranhas, and GW has appropriated them for plastic versions. I'd forgotten about Sky Rays being in the new codex.

I don't understand the draw of Skyrays. What do they have going for them? I thought they were basically a buncha hunter missles and a markerlight...

Great for anti tank work.Just sit it behnid a wood,have stealth teams mark tanks and open up.

Wrong. The Skyray's seeker missles HAVE to use the markerlights on the Skyray itself, they cannot use marker lights from Pathfinders. I personally really dislike the Skyray, because i feel it's a huge waste of points for little effectiveness. Due to having to use it's own lights, the unlimited range of the missiles is of no use, plus when you run out of seeker missles, your sitting there with a couple hundred points of tank being defended by a smart missle system. If your opponent has no tanks or aircraft, the thing is essentially useless.

Itl have lots of uses. & please give your source for saying it has to use its own. & you forget itl probly be allowed to have the normal missles

Well there was a small little blerb about em & on the back they showed the Tau empire army. & the Uk sites already got its pre ordered Tau empire thing up
