Sentinels are a lovely thing, as cheap as you want them, flexible and a pretty sight in my eyes. Though they might seem weak or fragile, they can pack a punch, can deep-strike with the right Doctrine and can hold flanks on their own when outfitted nice enough.*
But then again, this comes from a person who has nine of three different patterns and only uses two Cadian pattern Sentinels for the time being...
*Again, my own opinion, NOT yours.

It's best to field small numbers of Sentinels in as seperate fast attack choices. If you have only Sentinels like me, it's best to split them up. When fielding large numbers it's wise to deploy them in squadrons.

Word on the street is cityfight's getting some new metal "greatcoat" imperial guards. They are not Valhallans, but they'll look a bit like them, apparently. Source: 40kforums.com

Most likely the end of next year, but hell, we can wait. Greatcoat guard, all the little WWII buffs will love to create Germans and Russians of their own.

A Codex,a atleast 2 command squads(1 for an infantry platoon and one to act as a HQ)another box of troopers and a chimera. that lets you make the following:
HQ:A General and four troopers(you can get a box set)
Troops: Platoon1 wich consists of: A command squad:Junior officer and 4 troopers(you can get blisters) 3 squads of ten men.
Armoured fist squad 10 troops in a chimera.
Heavy support: Leman Russ.
With a tooling up from the Codex items list you should be able to reack 750-1000 points.
Remember:You must have an HQ and 2 troop choices. In a IG army you must have one Platoon unless you take doctrines wich allow otherwise.

Maybe I've heard it all before, but when are people going to just read the codex and become better prepared for starting that army?
