Sillvy xxbrizone YazmishaNazo Its on YOUTUBE ALREADY?? As for SasuNaru... I dont think its gonna happen. I dont think the majority of the 8-14 agegroup that he actually writes for are going to appreciate the two characters making out, no matter how popular SasuNaru is... i agree. Sasunaru MOST likely isn't going to happen because there are even stinkin' 4th graders reading! (i'm bettingmabey even 3rd and seconfd...) Try going a little younger. xD My seven year old brother and his friends watch Naruto. He's been watching it since kindergarten. xP;
I'm not sure what he'd think if SasuNaru happened. o_<My little brothers watch Naruto as well. They're actually the ones who got me into watching it. Not only will my brother be traumatized for life, but my mom, who's also oddly a fan of the series, would probably ban us from watching anime again; even the pure kind like Rurouni Kenshin.
As for the show similarities... I think all the ones I had in mind were stated. 'Cept Pokemon. Ash doesn't have any relations with anybody. Character similarity-wise... I can't really think of anything, except Ash is a bit of a dunce at times.
I still can't believe I just made a relation to Pokemon. eek

Another off-topic question:
I'm not really ready to join, just yet, but I have wondered for a while: is this the army that spawned the others? Because I've been running into all kinds of them. NejiSaku army, ChouIno army, ShikaIno...you name it.
It's like a Naruto-verse war here. Of course I understand the purpose of this one, SasuSaku has to be rightfully defended because from what I see, we're bashed left and right. (Assholes).
But yeah. Just a bit curious to see how it all started.

But yeah. Just a bit curious to see how it all started. I know that on the Simply Love forum, CCP was recruiting every new member as a SasuSaku Army member. I didn't know there were other armies, but I'm pretty sure SasuSaku started it--- I think an army is fine for a pairing that has POSSIBILITY, but not for crack pairings (like NejiSaku... if you're trying to say they will so get together, and not trying to cinvince them that you just love the crackiness). SasuSaku has always been a well loved but equally well hated pairing that needs an army-- especially since our two main haters are NaruSaku and NaruSasu, and, no offense to those who like both, but from what I've seen, both fandoms just completely ignore any moment, or are "what you consider moments and development I see as nothing." I've seen far too many NaruSasu fans say that "It must end in NaruSasu or else Kishimoto will lose all of his fanbase, merchandise sales will drop, and no one will want to watch or read it anymore. Besides, Sakura has a 70% chance of getting with Lee." (quoted from Kaze-Hime's deviantART journal). Or, even better, for NaruSakuers, its "Omg, the Englisht translation of the Chinese Translation of the Japanese manga says that Sakura only really really really really really really really really really likes Sasuke! And the databooks mean nothing because their not events in the series, it's just Kishimoto having fun drawing." Every fandom has it's haters, and SasuSaku usually takes the brunt of it all because of all the pairings that SasuSaku would "destory" (NaruSaku, SakuIno, NaruSasu, SasuIno, SasuHina, SakuLee, KakaSaku, etc.), even if those pairings have no real weight in the series. Plus, to add to it, Sakura and Sasuke are also two characters that you either love or you hate-- when one character is hated (usually Sakura), people will do anything to say "I hate Sakura. She doesn't deserve Sasuke." or "Sasuke's an emo b***h beyond redemption. He'll never get with Sakura." SasuSaku has all the elements of a CANON pairing (more so than probably any other pairing possibility in the series), but people are so judgemental toward both of them because of their humanistic characteristics. Sakura is the most human character in the series. She's seen as 'weak' becuase she doesn't have inhuman abilities (Sharingan, Kyuubi...) and she's always being protected, even if she's ready to fight. She has a tendency to have a temper and low self esteem, while holding grudges and being judgemental-- but at the same time she's compassionate and willing to change, and to grow. Sasuke has a hard time building relationship because eveyrone he's been close to has been killed by someone he loved-- so he's had death and betrayal since a young age from the people most important to him. He's learned not to get close so he doesn't feel that way again, but he still manages to grow and open up. These humanistic characteristics are what make people hate Sasuke and Sakura. They're not liek Naruto, who's comedic and nver gives up. Tehy're not liek Kakashi, who's just all around bad a**. They have flaws. People just don't appreciate that :/

And I made it for the exact reason you just stated: "SasuSaku has to be rightfully defended because from what I see, we're bashed left and right." [And Sireta just described that wonderfully.]
Luckily a SasuNaru army hasn't spawned yet.. and hopefully never will.. if we're lucky they'll think an army is a waste of time. I'm sorry, but I'm TIRED of seeing armies for every pairing pop up. At least SasuSaku NEEDS to be defended.
@Twilight_NewMoon: Of course. Welcome to the army. :3

But yeah. Just a bit curious to see how it all started. Basically what Sireta-san and Kairi-san just said.
Let me just add that the other pairing-doms copied what was originally Kairi-san's idea. I suppose it's a testament that our army has been working so well that it's inspired other armies to pop up as well.
The fact is, we don't start fights. We only defend, because just like you say, the pairing and the fans are being bashed left and right. It may be because:
1) they hate Sakura (and think that someone like Lee should get with her)
2) hate Sasuke (and think Sakura deserves someone "better" like Naruto),
3) hate almost canon pairings (labelling them boring and cliche'd)
4) hate het couples (just because they like yaoi/yuri more).
Honestly, pairing wars are pointless. But some basher just decides to start a bash spree and we have to spring in to defend. That's what the army is for. We don't antagonize haters, either (though people like Kairi-san tend to be a bit firm). We only have one purpose - to defend, though other people feel threatened and start bashing us. But all for the thing we believe in, we'll take it. blaugh

The fact of the matter is that if they feel threatened and bash back, then they know they're being undermined and proven wrong.
People only bash instead of debate when they know they're wrong and refuse to admit it. mrgreen

Unfortunately, I'm not very good at debating. Or writing uber-long posts about, well, almost anything. And keep on sounding intellegent anyway. When I go into rants, I tend to repeat myself. Alot. And like with my essays at school. My teacher always yells at me for that... >>;
But even in the NaruHina guild, it says that the army was "inspired" by the SasuSaku army. I mean, there's nothing wrong with creating a crew to defend a certain pairing, but seriously, you could at least give it a cool name. eek
And... to date, this has to be the longest post I ever made. -frames- (Even though it isn't really all that long... sweatdrop )

[Akatsuki.Brat]--I think with a little more pratice on trying to explain stuff without repeating yourself. You can become one of the best open- minded debater in this guild! xd
or the best short- answered debater in the guild

Yea. I actually heard about this army. From someone making an Army in the ShikaIno guild where they gave credit to this one. And then I decided to join the Sasuke x Sakura army. Lol.
Ive actually learned so much from just joining this army. My debating skills were sharpened. And I know that they've got my back when it comes to people bashing and ganging up on people. No way.
But from what Ive seen, since I havent been here since the beginning, but yea, Its the best and probably the best working. Its actually stuck.

I'm sure you can join, but I'm not in charge so I can't say!
Debating can be fun... but it's more fun when you'r not debating with bashers.
