I remember when George Carlin told jokes. I miss those days.

I'm watching his most recent HBO "Stand Up" special.

He spent the first few minutes rapping as best I could tell. A cute little compilation of catchy terms. Except most of it didn't actually mean anything. It just sounded pretty. Fine. That can slide.

Then he spends the whole rest of the show making very obvious observations. Things I thought about when I was 15 and he's acting like it's insight. There aren't many punchlines. And he keeps making statements about the way things are and a lot of them are incorrect.

He's just ranting. The crowed is cheering more than they're laughing. It's not stand up. It's a rally.

Yes comedy contain humorous points of views of real life. but there has to be a punch line.

I'm so dissapointed.

Yeah, his work has been going down hill for years. He used to be one of my fav comedians. Now I think he's just riding his past successes.

Rar. Been a little bit pissed off the last couple of days. [warning: LONG RANT]

Yesterday I got in trouble again at school for wearing "revealing" clothing. The thing is, all I was showing was a strip of my midriff(I think that's the right word sweatdrop ). I mean, my shirt was still keeping my bellybutton unexposed, and my boobs weren't hanging out, so I really didn't see the problem. Besides which, I thought I could get away with it because my English class was going to see a musical at 10:30, so I'd only be there for first block.

First of all, I would like to mention that my school has a dress code, but generally only one or two teachers enforce it, and rarely anyone follows it.

Okay, now onto the story/rant (sorry, I randomly change from present to past tense, and I'm too lazy to edit it):

I was standing in the hallway, talking to my friend at her locker just before classes. Then a teacher walks by, I try to remain inconspicuous, and didn't even look up while I continued chatting with my friend. But, to my dismay, the teacher approaches me, and says in a very irritating tone: "Is that shirt going to stay down low enough?"

Of course, I replied: "Yep." and I continued on with my conversation.

"Well, I think you should go put something on over top of it." She says, after exclaiming that its winter "for-crying-out-loud" and that I should be dressing warmer anyway.

"Yea, okay, whatever." I shrug and keep talking to my friend while the teacher walks away. "I'll just hide in the library." I whisper to my friend, and she goes off to class. Because I have a spare first block of the day I always go there and read there while listening to my mp3 player, and I really did not expect what was to come next.

I walk and, and low-and-behold who is standing in the library talking to the librarian, but the stupid teacher, herself. And guess what she's talking about? I pretend not to notice her and sit down in my usual spot, and open up my book. Unfortunately, she took notice of me almost right away.

"I thought I told you to put something on overtop of that. Go do that now."

You see, this is where I should have gotten up and left to get a jacket or something, but I really didn't want to, besides which, I've hated that teacher since I started going to this school which was back in grade 7, and I'm now in grade 11.

Instead, I smiled and said, "No." (While putting on the headphones to my mp3 player.)

This woman is very high on herself and any conflict against her basically sends her up a wall. Hearing what I said, her eyes nearly bug out of her head. "What did you say to me?"

Well, it was obviously too late to back off by then, so I simply repeated myself with another smile.

"Well then take yourself down to see the principal."

Once again, "No."

"Either you go down to the office or leave this school."

Because of the field trip, I decided maaaaybe I should cooperate, so I get up, and leave the room, hoping she wouldn't follow, but she leads me down to the office.

Lucky for me, however, both the principal and vice-principal had classes to teach so they would have to call me down second block. However, I knew I wouldn't be there in second block.

So, I go back to the library, the vice principal walks next to me and scolds me quietly, saying that I should do what I must to "cover up my skin". Would you like me to wear a face veil too? xp Oh, and we can't have skin showing on my ARMS! OH GOD NO!

Thennn, I went to the musical. But while the class was waiting in the lobby, my English teacher (since it was just my English class going to see the show) came up to me. Now, I must say, she is one of my favourite teachers, because she is very easy to get along with.

But anyway, she comes up to me and says: "Mrs. (Stupid Teacher) was really upset about you back-talking her."

So, we discussed that for a bit. I said how much I've always disliked the teacher, but I did tell her that I'd try to follow the dress code more often.

All's well that ends well.

But then TODAY, I was still expected to get called down to the office. Thankfully, it never happened. I'm guessing that the nice teacher talked to the principal for me, which was awesome of her. However, she approached me at lunch, again. She said that the stupid teacher was really "hurt" by how rude I was!

I laughed. I wasn't the rude one! I was simply using self-defense against her tone. It's what I do, whether its against school policy or not.

But, she reasoned with me, and told me that I should go apologize to her because she was "expecting something" from me. I told her I couldn't. I don't like apologizing for things I did not do wrong.

However, after talking to my one good friend, we reasoned that I could write a note so I wouldn't actually have to talk to the Stupid teacher and face her stupid lecture, or her saying how disappointed she was in me because I used to be "such a good student". I still am a good student, I just no longer tolerate as many people that I dislike.

So the note read:

"I apologize for breaking school policy."

With it being adressed to her with my name signed neatly underneath.

I figure, that way, it really does show that I do feel bad for "breaking the dresscode"... well, to a small extent. But it doesn't say anything about me apologizing for being rude to her. However, it can be interpretted in many different ways, so she really can't say anything bad about it.

So, basically if she complains to me tomorrow about not talking to her in person, or not apologizing properly I'm going to tell her to shove it. Haha. No, just kidding. The whole reason I'm trying to be a little bit civilized about this is because I still really want to go on my Europe trip with the school on Spring Break, and I could get kicked off if I'm bad.

However, what I did doesn't really seem bad enough to even give me more than a lecture. But, my school is dumb, so I'll play it safe.

And I'm also pissed off at Cody. Well, actually, no. I'm beyond being pissed off with him. I simply dislike him, and have for a while now (yay!). But lately especially he's treating his new girlfriend(who happens to be a good friend of mine) like she's dirt, and I want to just bash his skull in with a rock. whee

Oh well... at least I managed to put some gum under the handle of his locker. ninja Although originally it was on my locker door (not the handle) and I think Alyssa put it there, but Kevin was nice enough to give me a pencil to scrape it off with.

Okay. End of Gawthy rant.

ohh man... he doesn't lock his locker??

okay here's what you do. get a spray bottle.

2 parts milk
2 parts warm water
1 part lemon juice

shake well.

lightly coat the insides of his locker with the concoction.

the lemon and warmth will cause the milk to spoil faster. everything will smell... "off"

Griffin: HAHA! That'd be awesome, if my locker wasn't right next to his. Otherwise I probably wouldn't hesitate.

Same goes with Gem's 1st idea. Although the 2nd one would be funny. ^^; But, chances are that I'd get in a lot of trouble which = no Europe trip.... Maybe I'll do it afterwards. ninja

And update on the teacher incident!

Today she approached me in the hallway during lunch and basically told me that she was not satisfied with my "letter of apology". That is when I explained to her in as few words as possible that by talking back to her I was breaking school policy and that I was clearly apologizing for that and not following the dress code by using only one statement. She said something utterly stupid (I can't remember what because I try to tune her out as often as possible) and then walked away, mentioning how "cranky" I seemed today and that it wouldn't be smart to bring someone with my attitude on the Europe Trip.

Then I was pretty pissed off. BUT wait, there's more!

The bell rings to go to class and I'm on my way to Social Studies when I am approached by the prinicipal who tells me to come talk to him in the office (after letting my teacher know that I would be gone for a bit). He walked away, and I was so angry by then that I was shaking slightly.

So, I went down to the office, and he just so happens to be in a meeting with the vice-principal. I sit in the waiting area for God-knows how long when finally the secretary tells me I might as well just go back to class and she'll have the principal page me during class. If it wasn't for that freaking secretary I would have been in the office for more than half the class. Granted, I wouldn't have to do any work, but I hate catching up.

So, I go back to class, and I am so pissed off that I can't stop fidgeting and my face feels like its turning red. So, I tell Killer Queen about how I still have to go back to the office, and that I have a strong suspiscion that they'll try to take away my Europe Trip. I told her that if they do, I will kick and scream and swear to no end so they kick me out of the school because the trip to Europe is the only reason that is really keeping me there.

However, things did not turn out as bad as I anticipated. During second half of the block the principal stops by and asks my teacher if I can talk to him for a quick moment, and she's its quite alright.

So, he sits me down and discusses what Mrs Stupidface was squalling over. We talked about it for a bit, I explained my reasoning and how I cannot tolerate rudeness to me and in the end I got off with just a warning.

Its a good thing, too. Because the school would have been facing a lot of trouble from my family and me otherwise. smile

All's well that ends well.

I just better not get talked to tomorrow by either of those two tomorrow or I'm going to go snapshow.

I hate when teachers treat you like s**t, are rude and then you get in trouble for saying something to them.
And i also hate we can't have a little midriff showing, i mean, it;s not considered dirty or anything, and a lot of my shirts are short when they get dried.
Well, i wouldn't want to see somebodys gut hanging out but... sweatdrop

your locker is right there huh... so we need something that will cause him problems but not mess your stuff up...

hmmmm

okay new plan

same spray bottle

1/2 parts glue (we have Elmers glue here. it's like the standard white pastey squeeze out glue. it's perfect, hopefully you have it or something like it)

1/2 hot water.

you're gonna wanna mix these FRESH otherwise it'll just clog the spray bottle tube before you can use it.

mix ingredients. shake VERY well. Use the mister and spray down the contents of his locker. If you can do it on a day he's out or after school or something so it has time to dry. If you don't have that kinda time it's fine. Either way really get a good coating. Here are the possible results.

he comes back soon... everything in his locker is gooey.

if he doesn't get to it for about 3 - 5 hours the contents of his locket will be laminated.

(also works really gooed for teachers desks)

Damn I was in trouble nearly everday in school for breaking school policy, but thats because we had to wear a stupid uniform, wherever it was me wearing trainers, not my tie or my shirt was hanginging, I was guarenteed a detention by the end of the day for not making myself look better. It wasn't just me, mos of the school broke the rules but the teachers always picked on me. Anyway why make us wear something that obviously will make us want to break the rules?

I really don't know where i'm going with this, except I was gonna say you kinda get used to be in trouble, it kind of feels weird when you have a day without having a teacher on your back ><

Anyways you need to sort that cody out, make him seem like scum on the sly, then your friend will see sense and be free.

Ooooooh where in europe are you going? surprised
