Leo couldn't help but to agree, he was definitely glad not to be alone in this subject. He continued to talk with Sasha and the rest of the gang until early into the night. Leo fell asleep on the couch, experiencing no nightmares of the scary sights he saw. Leo forgot to set some kind of an alarm to wake him up in the morning, but that shouldn't be a problem since he was used to getting up early to see Ash off for work.

Chase woke up at dawn, as always, and got himself cleaned up before going to the couch to wake Leo. "Leo? Leo, it's time to get up," he said, gently shaking the boy. "C'mon. Let's go."

Leo stirred a bit when he felt the gentle shaking. He opened his eyes a little and for a moment he had to remember where he was. "I'm up..." he said tiredly, though he didn't move much for a few minutes. Leo slowly moved his hands under him to push him up off the couch and sat for a few minutes. "The birds aren't even awake yet...why should you be awake if the birds aren't?" he asked tiredly, noticing the silence that filled the room.

"Because I have friends to support," Chase answered, helpong Leo up. "Birds at least don't need anything but their instincts to survive. Now, hurry and clean up. I need to get to work." He was slightly cranky, but he did his best not to show that. "Want to bring some pie with you?"

Leo nodded slowly. "yes please. I'm sure Ash would like some. Let me go wash my eyes a little and I should be ready to go." he said softly, trying his hardest to respect Chase's schedule but he didn't usually move fast even when he woke up at the normal time. Leo headed into the bathroom and carefully washed the gunk out of his eyes before splashing his face with cold water to help him wake up. The water helped only a little bit, but he guessed he would be able to grab some coffee at the hospital. Leo walked back into the living room and yawned a little. "Okay, I'm ready to go."

Chase had cut a pie slice and wrapped it by the time Leo returned. "Okay, let's go." With that, he led Leo to the car once again. "I really miss getting up late," he said as the car started.

"You and me both." he said with a small grin as he grabbed Chase's shirt tail and followed him to the car, quickly buckling up before he held his hands out for Chase to place the pie slice on. "If you're in a hurry, you don't have to follow me up to Asher's room. I'll have a nurse bring me there." he said softly, still not quite used to the layout of the hallways.

As much as Chase would like to make sure he got to work on time, he wasn't all that comfortable with letting Leo go up to Asher's room without him, even if a nurse was to lead him there. "You sure? I can spare a few minutes," he said.

Leo smiled a little. "Yes I'm sure, lets get to the hospital quickly so you can get to work. I don't want to be an imposition." he said softly, pushing his still messy hair back and flinching when his fingers found the bullet wound in his ear. "I forgot something to cover my ear! I hope Asher doesn't see it..." he said softly, feeling grateful for wearing his jacket almost constantly, made it easy to cover up the wound on his arm.

Chase sighed. "I'd get you a hat, but none of us wore any hats," he said. "Just put your hair over it, I guess." They soon arrived at the hospital and he opened the door for Leo. "Sasha and Cherry will come get you in the afternoon, okay?"

Leo nodded and opened the door. "Okay, I'm not going anywhere. Thank you for the ride!" he called, being careful not to drop the pie as he walked straight from the car, knowing Chase would park in front of the hospital door. He asked someone to escort him to his brother's room, hoping he wasn't waking Asher up. Just before entering his brother's room he fixed his hair a little so his wound was covered, but he didn't think he did a really good job since his hair was so short. Leo opened the door slowly and entered the room. "Ash? You awake?" he whispered softly, closing the door behind him slowly.

Asher had been asleep, but he hadn't been alone. A 13-year-old boy had been standing over his bed, in the midst of deciding whether or not he wanted to meet him early. He had made his decision when someone walked through the door. "Eh? Who are you?" he asked, turning toward the newcomer. "Ah! I know you! You're Leo Frost!" He held out a hand for Leo to shake, forgetting for a moment that the boy was blind. "Whoops. Er... Handshake?"

Leo was quite surprised to hear a voice that wasn't his brother's, this voice sounded almost as young as he was. Leo stood defensively, the only people who would know his name were his friends and the reporters. This guy wasn't a friend, he knew that for sure. Leo took a step back and opened the door again. "Don't you have something better to do with your day? Leave my brother alone, your not going to get a story here." he said softly, waiting for the person to leave.

"Well, there isn't much to do now, being dawn as it is, and there's no need for a regular citizen to get a story," he said, withdrawing his hand. "I should introduce myself, since you're here, but I'll save that for later. Call me Lucky!" He smiled brightly at Leo and showed no sign of intimidation from the subtle hostility.

Leo stared at the ground a bit confused. "So your not a reporter? Well...thats a bit of a relief." he said softly, closing the door gently. "I've never heard of a human named Lucky....why are you here?" he asked softly, trying not to wake his brother or sound too hostile before Leo understood why someone was here in the first place.
