Thank you DA. That is almost exactly how I am trying to portray Khyber's use of the style. He is nowhere near a master of Niman, and only has the same grasp of it that many of the Jedi in the Clone Wars era did. I know of the Geonosis phenomenon you mentioned Nelo, though since we're arguing semantics I would have to say that every user of Form VI who practiced it solely was killed in that battle, since Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Mace Windu all used elements of Niman along with their primary forms.
I'm not trying to god-mod. I'd say that Khyber is about the same level of skill with the Form as the Jedi who died at Geonosis, and his lack of dedication to combat training is about to bite him in the a** in a big way. I recognize that you and the other mods have to try and keep people from power-gaming too much, but I only made one post, and it was against my own NPC. Ease up on the critique just a tad...

Exactly. It's a jack of all trades.
It's not "I took a move from here, I took a move from there, and slapped it all together".
Niman is it's own style, which evolved originally not from the primary lightsaber styles, but rather a two handed fencing style which was then adapted and re-engineered by the Jedi to be utilized on it's own as a distinct style, utilzing movements found within other groups.
Which is precisely why it is generally a weak stance; it's primary source of power, the twin blades, was taken away from it and forced into a single handed stance and expected to cope. It is a style requiring cunning and wit for it's power, rather than purely the skill. Much in the same way Sokan is.
That's pretty much that. I'm not concerned about the post, as that has already been covered. Rather, I'm trying to help you understand this isn't some patchwork style of forms 1-5, which is what you seem to be trying to press. If that's not what you're trying to say, then it's a misunderstanding on my part.
You seem to understand it's average capabilities. What you fail to convey to me, which I personally am doing my best to help you with, is understanding why it is this way. I'm not sure it's merely because I'm a dunce at comprehending you, or a lack of expressive capacity on yours, or what, but again, this is a subtle point which seems to be rather key to me at least.
As for anakin, obi-wan, and others, I'll abdicate the rebuttal I have regarding them, because it's irrelevant, and also would only make things worse by pointing out the fault in the reasoning. Like I said before, not trying to fight, but help.

Why don't we just agree to disagree, since it's purely a philisophical debate at this point and I don't think either of us will be swayed from our respective viewpoints?

Cale Darksun Yeah, this bickering is pointless. Lord Darksun will provide the location of their secret rebel base. We will then crush the rebellion in one swift stroke. I mean wha?

Quote: "The guest list is quite extensive. It is likely the entire upper brass and most of the other Sith Lords would be in attendance..." Upper Brass would only mean those commanders and Sith involved in this theater of the war. I don't think anyone from Dromund Kaas is flying in.

Maybe I should go back and be more specific Only the upper brass within the fleet would show up. That means anyone in the Minos Cluster. Fleet Admirals, sith lords, colonels, etc.

Sorry. Weekend has been hell at work. My boss has been training a new gal, and she hasn't a clue what she's doing. Makes my job 10 times harder since my shift is right after hers...

No problems, mate. Just kinda disappeared for a few day there.
Edit: Darn, kind of anti-climatic. I was expecting a fight, or at least a response to the fact I Force Wave'd his a** across the damn chamber... confused

I think that would have just made things lose their impact. It isn't like he has to care the least bit about some upstart hanging around his personal chew toy. It is Kyber's arch-nemesis, not just any old NPC. stare
