"Don't forget to pack everything you want," Lin told Miyuki before going to her and Earendil's room to pack.
She was trusting Miyuki to pack her stuff, besides reasonably Miyuki was old enough to pack and if all else fails the little girl could just throw everything into the bag.
"And all your clothes," she added.
"I will!" Miyuki nodded.
She wouldn't forget something like that after all!
"Then we'll be down later to tuck you in, so don't take too long," Lin added as she ruffled Miyuki's hair.
With that she hurried up to pack her things.

Earendil chuckled as he headed up the stairs with Lin. "I wonder if she's going to sleep tonight," he grinned at her. "What with all the sugar she's had, and the excitement of the past two days, plus leaving on a trip tomorrow ..."
He wouldn't have been able to sleep if he were a child, that much he knew.

"Oh..." Lin laughed at the thought.
She wouldn't have as a kid, she would have tried but would fidget and wonder why the morning wasn't coming faster.
"That, or she'll crash from all that sugar," Lin suggested.
She kind of hoped it would be the latter.

"Or something," Earendil chuckled in reply.
When he chose what things he would be taking with on the trip, he ended up taking absolutely everything he had there. After all, who knew when they would be back again? And it wasn't as if he didn't have the space in his bag.
Then it was downstairs to tuck Miyuki in for the night, and back up to bed for a good night's sleep.

Miyuki was the first person up, this was not surprising since she seemed to be an early riser. It also suggested that maybe her mother had been right and she had a sugar crash before it got too late. She was already checking to make sure had everything.
Then scooping up Senka (because they were not going to leave Sen-sen behind) she hurried downstairs bag in all. Somewhere along the line she had given up trying to find out where her parents were sleeping so waiting for them downstairs was the better choice.

Haradhel had not gone to bed that night. She had spent the entire night in the kitchen, preparing food for the group's journey. They would need a lot of provisions, after all; they were a large group, and would be gone for a very long time, and they needed an awful lot of food.
Elrohir had been helping her until a short while ago, but at the moment he was in the stables, helping Elberon to prepare the horses for the journey - as well as two sturdy wagons that would carry the food, other supplies, and anyone who didn't care to ride a horse.
"Good morning, Miyuki, Senka," Haradhel greeted them when she spotted the two. "Ready for some breakfast? Or do you want to wait for your parents to eat?"

"Eat!" Senka was eager for some food and she didn't care for waiting.
Miyuki on the other hand wanted to eat with her parents, "We'll wait, Sen-sen can wait it'll only be for a little while."
She was sure because she knew it was going to be a long trip.
Meanwhile Lin had finished dressing and was fingering one of the knives she had on her belt. It had been a long time since she had worn her weapons, and while she one of the ways to keep herself from boredom was to train, it still felt weird wearing them again.
However, they were traveling in areas that would be much less peaceful than the last two lands, and now that Miyuki was old enough there was no reason to hide them away anymore.

Haradhel laughed. "Well, take a seat, I'm sure they won't be long," she grinned. "Your father is an early riser, he always has been. Especially when there's something going on."
Earendil was also finished dressing, and was still putting his weapons on. He had two short swords sheathed at his side, but his favourite, the b*****d sword, was sheathed on his back. He also had a quiver, but for now he kept his bow unstrung. He wouldn't be needing it yet anyways.
"Ready?" he asked Lin, shouldering his bag and reaching for his cloak.

Pulled out of her thoughts, Lin grabbed her own quiver and bow. She doubt she would need it, but always better to be safe than sorry, and she knew this. Finally picking up her cloak and bag before turning to Earendil.
"I'm ready," she replied with a nod, "I bet Miyuki is already waiting."
Miyuki slid into a seat, putting Senka on the floor.
"Will River come here? Or are we going to get her? Do you know?"

Earendil chuckled at that. "I've no doubt," he grinned at Lin. "She's always waiting on us, it seems."
He got the door for her and allowed her to leave the room first. "After you."
Haradhel smiled. "You'll be meeting everyone in the yard," she explained. "We'll load up the wagons, and everyone will meet there ... I'm sure that at least Halmir and Arthael will pick River up from her house."
It would keep things simple.

Lin smiled brightly as she passed through the door.
"Miyuki gets up extra early I find," she chuckled.
Lin wasn't bad but she wasn't an early riser by any means and while she knew Earendil was, he always seemed to be more inclined to stay with her. Something she was always grateful for.
"Oh...." Miyuki nodded as if she was just coming to an understanding, "Okay."
She wondered if this meant that maybe River would come on in, she kind of expected her friend bounce on in for some reason.

"Well, it is a good habit to have," Earendil smiled softly at Lin. "The only time I can ever remember sleeping late was the day after I was rescued from the prison in Amon Darthir. But I've never been so tired as that - before then, or since."
They headed down the stairs, leaving their bags by the door before heading towards the kitchen.

"Mommy! Ada!" Miyuki waved from where she was sitting the moment she caught sight of them.
Dare one say she was ready to just jump for joy.
"Are you all packed?" Lin asked making sure just one extra time.
Miyuki nodded eagerly, proud of herself for having packed on her own. She even checked on her own too.

Earendil smiled. "Then after a bite to eat, we'll head out and help pack up the wagons, all right?" he told Miyuki. "I'm sure they would like a bit of help."
He had an inkling of how much food they would be bringing, considering how many people were going now.

"Okay!" Miyuki nodded.
She didn't quite know what it all entailed but she remembered the storage rooms on the ship when they went on long travels, she figured it would be something like that since they would need food and stuff.
"I can help too right?"
