Her arms went around his waist, and Caiden wasn't sure how to feel. He didn't want to cry, but she seemed pretty shaky about something herself. That was when she started to explain the situation with her mother to him. Illness was something his family had hardly experienced. Caleigh didn't die of anything natural, so he wasn't sure how it was like to watch someone die that you cared about who suffered from something like that. Caleigh was dead within an hour of the accident, and he still blamed himself for it. Caiden let an arm hand on Tierra's back, rubbing it slightly to comfort her. He had held his sister when she cried, and he had held his mother when she cried, so he knew that most women appreciated that kind of thing. Tierra told him what killed her, and he had a feeling some sort of horrible disease had done it to her. Cancer was one of those things that he had heard about, but it had not effected him directly or any of his family members. Either way, he felt very sympathetic when she talked about it, and it only made him long to hold her tighter.
She stopped for a moment, and he felt her head land on his shoulder. She hadn't been crying until just then, and that just brought memories of Caleigh back to his mind. She was crying, and he was doing all he could do to keep it together. He rubbed her shoulders, not sure exactly what to do. Maybe it was time to finally get it all out about his sister. He wasn't even sure if he had ever explained his sister's death to Fionna or not. He wasn't sure. "I know your pain, believe me. Caleigh was just... I loved her so much, and we got along, although our age difference was quite a stretch. She was so cute..." He trailed off, wondering if he should get into the story. He wasn't sure if he would be able to hold it together if he did. He rested his cheek on Tierra's head, and took a very deep breath, feeling his lungs fill, but it felt as if it had done nothing at all. If anything, it just made everything hurt more. He gulped a little, ready to share now. "The day it happened... My parents had gone to the market for potion supplies for my fathers class. They left me in charge of watching Caleigh since my older sister was sick... A few of my friends were over, and we were working on a Transfiguration project. Well... Caleigh.. She was on her mini broom, and the front door was open because it was warm... And I didn't see it coming.. But she flew out the door." Caiden had pinched the bridge of his nose with the arm that wasn't wrapped around Tierra, and his eyes were tightly shut. He was so afraid of the waterworks at the moment that he had a shallow breath and couldn't even look around the room or down to Tierra. He had to focus on staying strong. "She had flown far enough to get into the road, and there was a muggle care. A muggle car of all things in our magic village. No one knows how it even got in there... And I wasn't watching, and the drunk muggle didn't see her... and Caleigh... S-she... She hit the windshield. There was blood everywhere..." Caiden was shuttering, but he still wasn't crying. He couldn't do it. He wouldn't let himself seem weak to her. He continued, although he was sure that she got the gist of the situation. He just couldn't stop once he started. "W-we took her to the wizarding hospital here.. St. Mungo's, and they tried so hard... and she just.. she didn't stop bleeding... and she wasn't breathing..."
Caiden broke. He started crying, and crying hard. His head turned and his face was pressed against the top of her head. He could feel the tears just pouring out of his eyes, and it wouldn't stop. He hadn't cried about his sisters death this much at all. He kept the majority of it bottled up because he felt responsible for the whole thing. His chest was caved in, and his heart hurt every time it pumped. Caiden couldn't help but hold Tierra closer to him. He needed something to hold, and she was the best option he would have come up with. When he finally calmed down, he rolled his head onto his cheek to regain his vision, and then he slowly pulled his head up to wipe his eyes. His face had never been this puffy, and he knew very well that he probably looked like a big red balloon. He looked down at Tierra to see that she was about in the same boat, and one more sad word would tear him down again. This was hard. He couldn't take it. ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆

" Well you're the real tough cookie with a long history Of breaking little hearts, like the one in me That's okay let's see how you do it Put up your dukes, let's get down to it Hit me with your best shot! "
The dark haired girl felt the tears rolling down her cheeks as pulled her arms tighter around Caiden. It hurt so much knowing that her mama was gone and she would never see her again. She tucked some of the dark hair in behind her ear. It was Momma's hair...that's why she loved it. But Momma's was darker, like the night sky with no stars. She had her father's eyes. Wide, green, seeing every little detail. She longed for her dearest Papa. Why did he have to fight? Why did he leave her to keep others safe? Why? She had already lost Momma to cancer...what more could she handle? She cried into his shoulder. She tried to break her crying to listen to him speak about his sister. She felt like her heart was deflating. She felt his pain. It hurt her worse then sticking a fork in her eye. She wished that she could reverse time and save Momma and Caiden's sister from death.
The way he described her. It broke her heart. She was so innocent...so, undeserving of death's silence. She was hit by a car, and he had watched her die in front of him. It made her break down more when he started crying. It was much like Momma. She watched and was sitting right there. She felt her hand get cold and she saw the heart beat machine go flat line. She cried and soon the shoulder of his shoulder was covered with tears. She hoped he wasn't angry by that. She stuttered as she lifted her head from her shoulder.
"C-Caiden? I feel so lonely...M-my momma is gone. My father left m-me to fight to keep America safe. He i-isn't even from America either...N-now I have to live with m-my grandparents. T-truth is they don't even like m-me. They don't like me...T-they only took me in b-because no one else would! Oh dios mio!" She spilled her biggest secret. She never, ever, ever told anyone about that. That she hated her grandparents, who disliked her and that she was only living with them because she needed some where to be while her father was at war. She knew they disliked her. Because she looked like her mother. Her Nonnie and Nonnio got in this one huge fight (she didn't know what the fight was about) with her mother before she died and since then her grandparents hated her since then. Because Tierra looked just like her. The same hair and face, with different eyes. Her grandparents only chose to raise because they loved her father, her Grandmother's son. But since Tierra looked and acted similar to her mother, Nonnie and Nonnio treated her with disrespect and were super nice to her when ever her father was around. They were so fake.
I don't even w-want to live there. If I have to live with them, then I would r-rather leave my b-beloved italy. I w-want to live with y-you and your family in A-america. it s-sounds much n-nicer there. Oh god C-Caiden if my d-dad leaves me t-too I don't know what I w-would do!" She said as she pulled him close to her again and hugged him. She felt something in her stomach it made her feel warm and full. It was something that she wanted to express but she knew she couldn't. He still loved that girl. She could tell. She only wished he cared for her like she did at that moment.
She tried to calm herself down. She breathed deeply. She didn't even care that his face was puffy and hers was too. She was just glad she had someone to talk too, someone to cry with so she didn't have to suffer alone. "Grazie. T-thank you for all you have d-done for me. F-for talking to me in the l-library instead of i-ignoring me. For t-talking to me when I was all alone. For being a s-should to cry on and someone who I know shares the same burden I do. F-for being my friend...I care for you,T-thank you." She let go of him and let the tears fall down her face. She brushed the hair out of her eyes. "If I could... go back in this time. I would use my l-life to save your sisters. She d-deserved to live more t-then me. I am a worthless perdente stupido." She said her face fell a bit. It was true she would give her life to save his sister's and her mothers. She knew how much his sister deserved to live and same goes with her mother. The only person she mattered to was her father, but he never got to see her.
" You come on with a come on, you don't fight fair But that's okay, see if I care Knock me down, it's all in vain I'll get right back up on my feet again. " ( σut σf ¢herrios razz osted. So dramtic =D)

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxуσυ ωσи'т fιи∂ н є α я т σя ѕ σ υ ℓ ιи тнє ѕтαяѕ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ xxxxx Caiden didn't remove his arms from around her shoulder, no, of course he wouldn't do that. He kept rubbing her arm up and down slowly, trying to soothe her. It was hard for him to listen to all the pain that she had gone through, since he himself had gone through enough shares of pain in his life, and he knew what it was like to lose a family member that you loved dearly. He couldn't help but hold her tighter as she spoke about how her grandparents hated her, and he just couldn't comprehend that. He knew his grandparents, and both sides were exceptionally crazy, but neither set hated him, and that was what came so hard for him. His father's parents did dislike Lorna a little bit, but that was because she decided to be an auror, and they would have perferred that she got into a profession not so dangerous. Wouldn't they be surprised when Caiden went into that field himself? Caiden cut himself into her conversation, pulling away just enough to look her in the eyes. "You know, if they hate you so much, they are the most sophmoric, idiotic people I can think of. There is nothing about you that could possibly be hated. Your mother gave you some very lovely genes, and they are just blind not to look past them."
Tierra continued, and it seemed that she was rather confused about where the Alexander family lived. They lived in the center of England now, although his father still worked in the United States. He did it because he knew that he needed to provide for the family, although they were rich enough as it was. They didn't need more money like the school was paying him. Mr. Alexander could have left that position and picked up a low-end job and not have to worry about all the responsibilities that a teacher had to worry about. But, it was something that Mr. Alexander enjoyed, so they weren't going to tell him to stop. Either way, he just went back and forth by apparating to islands, and floo powder. "If they give you that much trouble, my parents would be more than willing to take you in. We have plenty of space, more than enough. Don't be afraid to ask either, because I could send a message off today, and get a yes and a list of questions about the food and type of lifestyle you live. My mom's job doesn't take up enough of her time..." he said with a bit of a laugh.
He let his arm drop when she let go of him, and she started to thank him. He smiled to her, since he really didn't deserve any kind of thank you for anything. He liked being nice, in hopes that other would be nice to him back. "I'm just glad that I got a chance to meet a girl like you." Caiden relaxed into the couch a little bit, and then she started into something new, and it caught him completely off guard. She would have saved his little sister, risked her life for her. Well, hell, he would have too. He tried running after her, but the little tyke broom was too fast, and his accio skills weren't that advanced at the time. He had only learned accio right before he came to the school. He wanted to stop her, but he was just in so much shock that he couldn't do it. "L-listen. Anyone who knew Caleigh would have wanted to save her. But no one deserves to live more than anyone else does. Even Richard... He doesn't deserve to die, regardless of the horrible things he has done. You are not worthless and you are not stupid. You have to get that into your head. You are a beautiful girl, inside and out, and I wish you could see that," because I sure can. He was about to add that onto his sentence, but he couldn't.
Caiden stood up. He wanted to get away from all the emotions and the sadness going on, even if he was supposed to be resting. He felt find, and that was that. "Come on. Let's go for a walk. Maybe the lake would be good right now?" he suggested as he headed towards the portal with a smile on his face. He wanted to show her something, and hoped that she would take the offer. ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя Lucas and Fionna walked into the common room just after Caiden and Tierra had left. Richard was still in the hospital wing, the Headmaster taking care of him, since he was in no condition to walk around. He was so completely broken, and Lucas doubted that Rhiannon even cared a little. He took a deep sigh. No one else was really around. He looked at Fionna and put his arm lightly around her shoulder. "You alright?" He asked gently. She seemed down, and he couldn't really blame her. It had been a rough week or so. "We won't tell Al until you're up to it, I'm sure the Headmaster will understand." He looked at her softly and held both her hands in his. He spoke louder than a whisper, but it was a quiet level of speaking, a calm and soothing voice, almost as soft as her hair. "Not until that stone turns pink."
The stone around her neck was still stuck on a dull, black-ish grey really didn't work with her shining eyes, it didn't glitter like the crystal he was so used to, did. He was a bit happy though, just that she'd kept it on. He still didn't kiss her, though he desperately wanted to. Their time apart had felt like years, and was even worse considering the long conversation they'd had the night before about their families, their lives, their past. Thinking of which, she still hadn't gotten her letter back, had she? His heart pounded a bit. Would he have gotten her back just for them to be broken apart? What if her brothers suprised her and decided she couldn't be with a werewolf? He couldn't be apart from her again...

She was still in a pretty down mood, but was trying to push everything away and just focus on the fact that she was back with Lucas and everything would be back to normal soon.
She should have known it wasn't working very well. It was probably apparent on her face. Lucas would easily notice. She looked down a bit and couldn't help but smile at what he said about the necklace. Fionna looked up into his eyes with that smile and gave him a small squeeze. "I'll be fine soon enough." She said and kissed him lightly on the cheek.
She shook her head and said, "We should tell her as soon as we see her." Al needed to know. Fionna pulled Lucas over to their familiar spot and sat down. She knew Lucas would probably have her tell him what Richard did. How he treated her, but she wanted to put that off.
Instead, she brought out a distraction while they waited for Al to show up. The letter she had received this morning from home. She waved it in front of him and said, "I haven't had a chance to read it yet. Arrived this morning." No matter what they said she knew she would never abandon Lucas again it had been horrible. She doubted they would disapprove, but there was a shadow of a doubt in her mind. Fionna tore it open there was more than one letter inside the envelope and she read one then handed it to Lucas and did that with each letter.
Dear Fionna, We have been starting to worry about you! Of course, we figured you were busy with grades and all your responsibilities we never expected all this extra troubles! Now I hope you don't mind, but we decided to each write our own letters and Simon was actually on a trip so we only just sent him the letter on. Probably won't get a response from him for a while.
My my so much has happened to you sweetie. I can't even image how you deal with it all. Then again you have the will of your father. So proud. I'm shocked to hear about the things this Rhi girl has done and I hope she won't bother you any longer!
I'm glad you and Caiden are working things out and am even more glad that you have a new man in your heart! As long as he doesn't hurt you I don't care what he is hunny as long as you are in love. Please keep writing more often. I miss you so much.
Mother
Fi, You really should have wrote sooner. I heard about some of the things going on at Hogwarts and have been worried sick about you. The aurors were talking about this Rhi girl and how she had used an unforgivable curse on the Gryffindor Prefect! I've been so worried about you.
Another boyfriend great can't wait to meet him and having a talk about how he better not hurt you and break your heart! Can't stand to see you like that again. But seriously, can't wait to meet him. I promise to be a good boy haha. Love ya sis.
Riri
Fionna, What have you gotten yourself into. Seriously, you need to use your head! Don't try to handle things on your own! There's a reason there is a headmaster and professors at that school. They are to help you and keep you away from harm. Things should not have escalated to such a level. Next time go to an adult. They will know what to do.
I'm not too keen on the fact that you are dating a werewolf. They have a bad history behind them. I hope it is true that he is really good and isn't playing some nasty game. Of course, if he is a gryffindor then I doubt that he is. I don't like to judge. Just be careful and make sure he is truthful. I'm happy for you really don't get me wrong just a bit worried about you.
Sincerely, Brian

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя Lucas's heart pounded a bit faster as he read the letter, but he relaxed. Brain didn't seem to mind too much, since Lucas was a Gryffindor and all. If Lucas was a Slytherin, well, that might have been another story. He'd be sure to be careful and prove to them that he was a good match for Fionna. "I can't wait to meet them." He said, handing her the letter back. "I'd never hurt you and I promise to prove it to them."
He gave her a small kiss on the cheek, only since she'd given him one. Her necklace still wasn't really pink...it was looking off-color, as Fi was. He knew she'd be alright, but he still hated seeing her in any type of pain, no matter how mild, severe, heartache, whatever it was, Fionna didn't deserve it.
"There she is." Lucas said softly. Al was walking down the staircase from the girl's dorms, with a slightly pink face and perhaps a bit too low-cut of a shirt. Lucas walked up to her and stood in her way. "Al, please just listen...we need to talk to you. Just for a minute? Please sit down."

Al raised her eyebrows suspiciously at Lucas, but the look on his face was determined. "Fine." She sat, sitting down, arms crossed. She didn't look at his face, or Fionna's, but she spoke to them. "Look...I know what you're going to say. Yes, I'm spending more time with Richard but...but I really think I really...really like him." She looked down a bit. "Just because he's a Slytherin doesn't make him mean. He's generous, and kind..." She trailed off.
She adored Lucas and Fionna, really. They were nice and kind people, but it wasn't their job to tell her what to do. If she loved Richard, that was her buisness. She would need to break up with Drago...and she loved Drago too though....why were things so complicated, she needed to make up her mind! Richard, or Drago? She'd tried to sleep it off, just sleep on it and find an answer, but none came.

She was kind of disappointed that Simon had not sent a letter but she knew he would be fine with everything.
Fionna smiled glad that he couldn't wait to meet him. She knew it would be fine and couldn't wait for it to happen. Brian would be put to ease after having seen first hand that he truly had good intentions. All would be well.
Fionna looked up when Lucas whispered into her ear and spotted Al. She was a few steps behind Lucas as they approached and was glad that Al allowed them a moment. Fionna shook her head at how far Richard had Al hooked in. She didn't even know how to start this. She could still see that accursed necklace hanging around Al's neck. She wanted to grab that thing an chuck it at his head again.
She decided for a direct approach. "Look Al. I know you probably still won't listen you're stubborn like that but I promise you I'm telling the truth." She started and took a deep breathe. "Richard was using you all along to get to me. I rejected him and he is not use to not getting what he wants and in this case it was me. He used you as blackmail. If I didn't do as he said he would break your heart and he knew I would never be able to refuse. Rhi told him how to win you over, and how to get to me." She really really didn't want to go into detail and hoped Al would believe her. Tears were twinkling in her eyes and she wrapped her arms around Lucas as she recalled exactly what had happened.

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя "Please, Al, I promise you it's not a lie." Lucas said. He listened quietly and a bit stiffly as Fionna recalled what that slimy Richard had done. In the grounds, in the dungeons. He held Fionna close, her arms around him and his head leaning lightly against hers.
When she was done telling the story, he looked up at Al with a hard, cold face. He knew Fionna wasn't joking, knew it wasn't a lie, but would Al believe it? Her arms were at least uncrossed, but she still had disbelief etched on her face. The necklace around her neck sparkled, and he had to fight the temptation to rip it off. "Please believe it Al...we just don't wanna see you get hurt..." He said softly.

I MIGHT LOSE MY MIND FOR A WHILE
BUT I'LL BE FINE HAVE YOU HEARD THERE'S THIS THING THAT HEALS AND IT'S CALLED TIME ▂▃▃▄▄▄▅▅▅▅▄▄▄▃▃▂ Fionna was not sure if Al believed her. She seemed to be trying to deny it. "I'm sorry Al." She said quietly. She knew Al probably had true feelings for Richard. Well, the fake Richard that he portrayed himself to be to her. It had all been a charade though just to get what he wanted as he was used to.
"I never wanted to see you hurt. I tried to stop it." She whispered still not sure to do. "He's just a spoiled child that has always gotten his desires." Perhaps she should stop talking. Fionna wasn't sure if she was helping Al or just making her feel bad about having believed his charade.
Fionna hoped that they would be able to move past this and quick. She wanted to put all this behind her and snuggle up with Lucas. She was starting to think about his Christmas present. She had a little something planned and she hoped he would like it. Her mind had gone off on a tangent and she tried to rein it in and focus on what was going on.
She looked at Al pleading her to understand and forgive Fi for being the one to deliver the bad news. She hoped it would take no tole on their friendship and she hoped that Al could continue to be happy. Would Al be mad that Richard had only wanted to use Al, and jealous that it was to get to Fi? Fionna surely hoped not. Sometimes she really hated being pretty...

Al looked at Fionna with wide eyes. "But...he told me..." She trailed off again. After Fionna's whole story, after everything she was saying now, Al knew deep down Fionna and Lucas would never lie to her like this, the only other option was they were telling the truth.
So Richard had just chosen her because she was 'pretty' enough, and 'innocent' enough. She'd kissed him, really deeply kiss him, and it was more than a kiss that he really got. And now...they told her everything. Him in the hospital wing, him touching Fi, him and the necklace...and now... She took the necklace off and held it in her hands. A tear dropped onto the ruby heart and she didn't speak for a while.
Then she saw Drago walking down the stairs, it was pretty early in the morning, he must've just gotten up. She ran over to him, wrapped her arms around him, buried her face in his chest and just burst into tears on him. "I-I'm so s-sorry..." She spluttered through a choked voice.

"Proud and so glorious standing before of us Our swords will shine bright in the sky When united we come to the land of the sun With the heart of a dragon we ride" Drago Alta - 2nd year Gryffindor Drago had just woken up and was still groggy. He thought that if he walked he could wake himself up more. But as he walked down the stairs Al rushed up to him, hugged him and started crying. He looked up to see Fionna and Lucas with worried faces. He gave them a look that said, What's going on? Then he looked down at Al. "What are you sorry for? Is everything ok? What's going on?" He was utterly confused but had a feeling that if Fionna and Lucas was involved, then Richard was involved too. Was she going to brake u with him to be with Richard just like in his dream? Thinking of that gave him a feeling of panic. He anxiously waited for an answer, hoping that it wasn't what he was thinking. "We are flying on wings in winter sky with fire burning deep inside We are warriors of endless time forever and on On wings of steel an ancient flight we see the powers that unite The gods will now send us a sign of battle once more"

Her neck looked a hell of a lot better without that huge, horrible stone around it. She'd probably throw it at Richard when he was healthier. Maybe it'd hit his head and fix his memory? Ha, doubt it.
Lucas smiled at Drago but turned away with Fionna. "Let's leave them alone." He said, taking her hand and walking with her out of the portrait hole. "You wanna go to the courtyard or something?" He asked as they walked down the hall.

~ Alison Nikolai~ ~3rd year Gryffindor~ (Yes these pictures are me)
Al smiled weakly as Lucas and Fionna walked away. Then she looked up at Drago and whispered; "Richard was a jerk. I was stupid to...to like him and...and see, Lucas made a deal for my sake, Rhiannon, that horrible Slytherin girl...Lucas got her boyfriend a better job, teaching here, you know, our flying Professor, and in return she...she knocked him off his pedastal, and he....she took it too far and he's in the hospital wing...he....he got what he deserved. And Drago, I don't deserve to be your girlfriend...I was so stupid...but I still love you....and I'm sorry..."
She hung her head a bit, no ruby necklace glimmered there. She had tried to explain everything to Drago, tried to tell him what happened, but she still didn't feel like it was a good excuse. It really wasn't. She looked back up at him again, tears still falling down her cheeks. She kissed him lightly and quick on the lips and smiled sadly at him. "I'm so sorry..." She whispered again.
