"Thanks." Kai said, reaching up and grabbing the box. He opened it clumsily, his body still getting rid of the last vestiges of the drugs used during the procedure.

He finally managed to get a pill out of the packet and put in in his mouth, dry-swallowing it and making a small sound of disapproval of the taste.

He handed the packet back to the nurse. "I appreciate your help." He said sincerely.

"Hm?" Kai asked, looking over his shoulder to where Tala was looking. "What's up with who?" He asked.

~

Lieutenant Barsukov stared at the wall opposite him, struggling against the urge to lean against the wall and fall asleep.

The only thing that really keep him from doing so was the rather obvious security camera staring at him from across the hall.

If they have that here why do they need me? he wondered irritably.

Fayina pushed herself off the door and began to walk away from it, breaking into a jog as she reached the end of the hallway, trying to get as far away from the couples' sheer coupliness as possible.

"Oh." Kai said shortly. "Can I not be here for that?" He asked the nurse. He struggled to sit up again, closing his eyes and trying to ignore the fresh wave of pain that hit him.

He managed to sit up, fighting the urge to either a) hold his head or b) throw up.

He looked over at the nurse, eyes dull with pain. "Can we go? I don't want to be here when that freak gets back."

"Fayina left?" Kai asked intelligently, looking around the room and not seeing her. He swore quietly. "I probably should go after her." He said, turning toward the door.

Barsukov looked over at Taki and his posture immediately straightened. "How can I help you Commander?" He asked, silently berating himself.

~

She automatically turned in the direction of her room and continued to jog. Her internal map had never failed her yet so she had a pretty good idea that she was going in the right direction.

"Right then." Kai said as he pushed himself off the table and on to his feet.

"s**t." He said flatly as he realised that his legs couldn't support his weight. They buckled and Kai fell over, landing hard on his knees.

He closed his eyes, trying to will away the fresh wave of pain before opening them and looking up at the nurse. "Leaving might be a bit harder than I thought it would be."

Kai looked over his shoulder at Tala. "I don't know if she will be." He said honestly. He sighed and turned back toward Tala. "But at the same time she probably just wants to be alone." He relented.

Barsukov raised an eyebrow at Taki. "I'm sorry, Sir, but I haven't received any notice that you were coming." He told the dark-haired Russian. "I can't let you go in there."

Fayina reached the door of her room a few minutes later. She was panting slightly as she opened the door, making a mental note that she had to start training again.

Kia walked quickly back through the halls, looking around to make sure no one saw her. The place was unusually deserted today. Marcus' death must of sent everyone into a frenzy.

She made it back to the old board room and walked through the door.

Taki continued to glare at the soldier. "You know who i am right? Commander of the special forces. Our duty is to gather intellignece from enemy lines, destroying targets behind enemy lines and protecting the senior officers. This is our role and going in there, which i believe is another base of our enemies in here, these foolish people planning this resistence, it's my duty to gether as much information in their in order to protect Balcov. You would want to put him in danger would you?" Taki asked dangerously.

Tala shook his head. "I think you may be losing you rmind in this place Kai. I was aking about the Kisa-look-alike and why she's acting like that," he sighed.

Kia walked in at the moment, with the box under her arm. "Ok, did we miss me?"

The nurse smiled down sadly. "Maybe it would be best to wait. You know that when he comes back and sees you like this he'll only think that your right to be moved and get some guards to shove you in a cell." she bit her lip. "It might not be less painful but you wont have to walk by yourself."

She looked up and noticed Ralef heading back over to them.

Taki's eyebrow twitched. The things i do for Kiana.... "Fine then. I might just do that." He gave the lieutenant another glare before swiftly walking towards the phone.

Heaven knows what i'm actually going to ask. 'Oh Hi! It's me your best friend Taki, remember i kind off yelled at you for killing my girlfriend? So can i go snoop around that crime scene?' Peh...

He picked up the receiver and dialled in a number.

Tala raised an eyebrow but didn't ask Kai anymore questions, instead turning to Kia and looking at the box.

Kia put said box down on the desk. "There's an idea in it."

~

The nurse nodded slowly, not quite sure what Kai was up to but she would do as he asked anyways.

Ralef narrowed his eyes at Kai as he got closer. "And what are -you- doing on the floor? Feeling well enough to mess around are we?"

Taki flinched at Boris' tone of voice. Eheheh, i'm going to get barbecued...

"Ah, sorry to interrupt, Sir but i want to enquire about what's happening with this 'mishap' in security," Taki said calmer than he was actually feeling.

Kia fiddled with the latches on the side of the box. "What i told you about before. The key part in both mine and Boris' plan."

~

Ralef quirked an eyebrow down at Kai. "Well if your feeling so great, you wont mind moving to the cells," he said scathingly before turning to a couple of guards at the door. "Get him out of here."

The nurse slipped past the guards as they walked over to Kai and out into the hallway.
